I`m going to throw this bloody crap against a wall
I have unticked box in Language&Input-->Spelling Correction, but it still replaces words as I type sms
lol
hold down the Mic button on the keyboard and release it on the settings button, choose Android keyboard settings.
the options you seek are there.
What`s MIC button? Can you post me a screenshot. This thing is driving me insane
bump bump
The mic button should be beside the spacebar.

Alternatively you can go to Settings -> Language & input -> Android Keyboard Settings -> Auto-correction -> Off

Press and hold the comma button, you can change it to the mic I believe, you can also access the settings from there.

Is anyone else also annoyed that Google still thinks "ill" is more commonly typed than "I'll"? There's no easy way to type "I'll" except to type "ill" and choose "I'll" from the suggestion bar.
It's baffling. Typing "il" also does not auto correct to "I'll."

Totally see where you're coming from if this was gingerbread but on ICS it works like it should, i.e. Il is I'll.. at least for me, guess you've tried pressing the auto correct button for I'll, it doesn't remember it?

I had the same problem, I disabled auto correction but it did nothing, so I believe you will need to change the space bar behavior. In the settings where you turned off auto correction there is an option which defines space bar behavior, change it to "always insert space" instead of auto correction
Two words. Swift Key.

Instead of making 2 separate posts, i thought i'd put my 2 issues into a single post. I have a european TP2 running the stock rom.
1) I dont know at what point it happened, but my 'long press end key' icon in settings has disappeared. I have no idea what might have caused this, but it was there originally since i set the long press to terminate the data connection. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how i can get it back, or at least what registry keys that i can modify to select one of the 4 options?
2) I'm not sure if i'm using the right term, but i was wondering how i can disable the unified messaging center. I'm referring to the new text messaging interface that comes up when i click a message in TF3D that also includes the contact card, email, events and call history. I've looked through all of the forum posts but i havent been able to find a post regarding this. As bland as the MS threaded messaging interface is, i prefer it to what HTC has done, mainly because it shows more messages and that i can resize the bottom portion where i type.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
1) Start > Settings > All Settings > Personal > Buttons > End Key
2) Still finding the solution
1) Settings>Personal>Buttons>End Key
2) I know it doesn't directly answer your question but from the TF3D I just press the "All Messages" soft button on the left to get to the MS inbox
Thank you for replying so quickly.
In Start > Settings > All Settings > Personal > Buttons, i dont have the end key as an option, the only button i have is the 'Send Key(Hold)'. After doing a lot of searching, i found the 'LongPressEndKeyApp.exe' file in the windows directory, and that brings up the menu like the icon in the setting's menu did before. I still think its strange that it's no longer under settings, but at least i found a solution.
As for my second question, thanks for the suggestion to click on 'All messages', but i still wish i could just click the message like in the Diamond/Pro. I'm just quibbling over a minor point, so its not a big deal. =P
Thanks for the responses.
"End Key" should be the 3rd tab once inside Buttons settings

Thanks for the visual aid Mesquire, turns out that i never had the long press end key in my settings, it was under 'buttons' the whole time. Well i feel dumb, but thats what i get for switching between by old TP and the TP2. lol
When you double tap a word in Swype, a word choice window pops up. On Virtuous, another edit box pops up and covers my word choice box. Anyone have any idea how to disable that other edit box?

Try rotating the phone to landscape. The contents will shift and the Sense edit box might clear the Swype edit box. Just a thought.
Rotating the phone to landscape for every word edit would get tedious. Serious carpal tunnel. I guess I'll just need to uninstall Swype and live with the Sense kb.
Thanks for the replies, guys!!

Anyone know how to get enable the top bar of actions on the JB keyboard that we had on the ICS keyboard.
It's tough to describe, but I mean the top bar that had the explanation mark, question mark, comma, etc...
See pic
Left is ICS with extra buttons on top of keyboard, and right is JB without.

it also didnt work for me. i recently changed rom. in cm10, keyboard suggestion bar doesnt show, i think if you want a working suggestion/correction bar, then change rom. i am currently on xperia ice v3.1 stable version. keyboard correction/suggestion bar works. ^_^ i think since jellybean port isn't that stable like ics port, there might be some bugs to fix like that one. in the end, you have no choice but to change rom.

It is working. See the screenshot. Both the stock android or the AOSP android keyboard working.
You have to type first before the suggestions show up. Try to turn on the show suggestions and type a few words and it will show it.

HOW TO ENABLE PIE

2. Enable "Expanded Desktop"
3. Press and drag finger up

HOW TO ENABLE PIE WITH STATUS BAR
1. Go into Settings
2. Scroll to Customization
3. Select Hybrid Properties
4. Select Interface
5. In workspace slide Nav. bar to "0%"
6. Click Apply
7. Exit to home screen
8. Press and drag finger up
WoW! I think I actually might like this!
FYI: AOKP MR3 just released a way to hide the nav bar and a quick swipe up enables the nave bar to reappear. Just like WebOS!
My problem with PIE is when I have it set to either right side or bottom (easiest to access) it cuts off half of my backspace button on my keyboard as it is reserved for swiping in and PIEing from the right or its hard to click my space bar or punctuation marks if I have it set to the bottom.
Is there anyway to avoid this? Like preferably have it set to force swiping from the bezel, rather than allowing a majority of the finger to be on the screen when swiping up. I've messed with all of the launch setting sizes to no avail.
I have the same problem with my keyboard when pie is set to the bottom. I do not know of any fix. In a few days or so there will be a new release of PA with some impressive fixes that they have done. Take a look at they're (PA) Google+ page.

What about on the right as well? I'm actually running Xenon HD on a recommendation (there's soooo many roms idk what to do with myself) so I'm not sure if the updates will run through to xenon right away :/ might have to try paranoid android then haha

It happens to me when set on normal also.
Just got my Nexus 5x Thursday, love it except the one thing that will cause me to send it back on Monday if I can't figure this out.
In the default messaging app the microphone key is directly below the send key so every time I hit the microphone key with my fat fingers I hit the send key. I have yet to get the microphone to come up, the wife and kids can hit it just fine.
Question is can this microphone key be moved easily without having to buy some other keyboard app, rooting, or installing a custom ROM?
Navigate to the keyboard settings (from settings, or by holding the comma key then selecting Android Keyboard Settings (AOSP)) > Preferences ~ Voice input key.
Or use one of the many free keyboards. I sometimes use Swiftkey.

i don't think this is what OP is looking for, since this options just disables the button and doesn't move it. but it seems that this is the only option available influencing the button at all.
considering the 'send' button only shows up once there was an actual input and also not having any problems so far with my own big paws, the only suggestions i can make are:
-aiming lower on the button
-using voice input (only) from the start of the message
-try another app for a more intelligent positioning of the 'send' button (hangouts?)
-(temporarily) switching to voice-input as active keyboard

Thanks for the reply. That only removes the Mic key, doesn't give me the option to move they key to a different location (some place NOT by the send key). I have been trying the free keyboards but no luck so far.
Thanks again
