I was trying to access some of the secret codes through the dialer and none of them are working. After typing them in it says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
I'm running codename with ktoonsez kernel. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I don't know if it matters, but I should also let you know that I'm with Rogers
What secret code?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
for example *#0*# in the dialer should take me to a test mode shouldn't it?
Sorry I don't know if there's an actual technical term for these codes I just always see them referred to as secret codes lol
those codes will not work on aosp based roms. which codenameandroid is. if you need to use those codes you will need to flash back to a touchwiz based rom.
ahhh i see. makes sense lol thanks!

Solved! Lock Code is "SPRINT"
It's been a long time asking a question in here (I'm used to answer the questions but I'm asking a question at this time )
I'm using Calk's FC18 Tweaked version and tried to do so something thru ##DEBUG#.
From the other ROMs that I used before, I need to provide the MSL code and it worked.
But in this ROM, something has been changed. System asked for 'Check Lock Code' and need to provide the different code that I don't know.
Does anyone notice this change? Do you think it's because of Sprint Hotspot hack?
Does anyone know how to get this code?
Thanks in advance for you help!
[Update]
None of code works in here (through the web surfing)
FC18 Stock ROM is same - need to provide 'lock code (not MSL)'
FC07 - same - asking lock code
yea I tried this to when I was on fc15 and it asked for a lock code I tried putting in my msl and nothing. Same thing with fc18.

I'm using AOKP, so I can't check, but there is a field for Subsidy Lock in the QPST Service Programming utility on the Settings tab.
Getting to it is similar to uploading a custom PRL. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1267893

Thanks for posting. I've checked the link and the information loading the custom PRL. I think it's not related in here. I'm not talking about the MSL. MSL does not work in here. So far, no way to get into ##DEBUG# mode.
re
What is the exact purpose of the ##DEBUG#? bunch of options to play with and mess up haha but whats a GAIN to the ##DEBUG# ????
Changing the Mac address for 4g that's what I need it for and other stuff

Running fc15 on GB and sprint gave me my MSl for that and it worked fine.

I am having the same issue... not sure what the unlock code is.
I would say maybe its looking for your one time msl code which is different from the regular. Maybe your phone number also. I know they have a developer id in the settings. There has to be a way through terminal to gain access to the lock code

One time MSL code does not work in here. I've already tried it. One can get the one time MSL code from QPST screen. It seems like any codes from QPST do not work.
Try 000000. Six zeros.

I agree any touch wiz Rom will work. But you have to really know what you are doing with ICS.
On touchwiz its ##_____## on aosp its *#*#_____#*#* if your talking about the dialer codes.

But on aosp you can't do anything. When it asks for msl you get that modem error.

Why are you needing to edit MSL? Just curious because if you go back to 29 you are better off to stay where you are unless you need to...
It asks for a lock code, NOT MSL. No one knows what this is so far.

Lock code for ICS I believe is 777468. Sfhub posted it on the 3rd post of his FE07 Odin one click. Not sure if its the same for AOSP though since his thread is about a TWiz rom.

If you are wanting to edit msl use cdmaws or qpst.. If you are trying to access dealer codes.. Try a few working hiddenmenu.apk's..
And that is the correct lock code for ics.. I think all prerelease versions

Hello sir,
You doesn't need to root your device for some code to run successfully,
Try this few code as I used it before this to check my faulty device :
#*0*# - To run some test on your device.
#*0011# - To run Service Mode. There's an option to Turn Off the Wifi Power Saver Mode
*#1234# - To check your device Version of Android.
Hope this can help sir as this is a few notable code that I used to check on device before this.

Codes for Sammy and AOSP based roms are different.
On CM10.1 *#*#4636#*#* (or something similar) will work. On Sammy based it won't.

Hi,
OK ever since I installed the asop carbon 4.2.2 ROM which I live by the way favorite one so far. But anyways ever since I installed it I can't use used codes. I've trued using *#*#,#*#* and the service code won't open. When I type in *#*#197328640#*#* it just sits there in dial pad mode. The code disappears but the service the service page doesn't pop up. Please help.
