# codes samsung galasy s3 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

any one know what program has the # codes i flashed PARANOIDANDROID but he doesn't have them in the rom so have my back up just need to know what the name is of program or programs thanks
* #1234# to check software version of phone.
*#12580*369# to check software and hardware information.
*#0228# Battery status (ADC, RSSI reading)
*#32489# Service mode
*#7780# factory data reset galaxy y
*2767*3855# Full factory reset (Don't dial it does not ask you to confirm unless you have problem)

Do those work on non tw roms? I thought the dial codes were tw only.
Sent from Pluto.

Dialer codes do not work with AOSP roms.

[Q] edit the MSL on AOSP

How do you edit the MSL on AOSP rom, If you can't put digit codes on AOSP roms to enter your MSL Code ???

I'm pretty sure you have to go back to el29 to do that.

I agree any touch wiz Rom will work. But you have to really know what you are doing with ICS.
On touchwiz its ##_____## on aosp its *#*#_____#*#* if your talking about the dialer codes.

But on aosp you can't do anything. When it asks for msl you get that modem error.

Why are you needing to edit MSL? Just curious because if you go back to 29 you are better off to stay where you are unless you need to...
It asks for a lock code, NOT MSL. No one knows what this is so far.

Lock code for ICS I believe is 777468. Sfhub posted it on the 3rd post of his FE07 Odin one click. Not sure if its the same for AOSP though since his thread is about a TWiz rom.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
If you are wanting to edit msl use cdmaws or qpst.. If you are trying to access dealer codes.. Try a few working hiddenmenu.apk's..
And that is the correct lock code for ics.. I think all prerelease versions

[Q] Secret codes not working on my i747?

I was trying to access some of the secret codes through the dialer and none of them are working. After typing them in it says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
I'm running codename with ktoonsez kernel. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I don't know if it matters, but I should also let you know that I'm with Rogers
What secret code?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
for example *#0*# in the dialer should take me to a test mode shouldn't it?
Sorry I don't know if there's an actual technical term for these codes I just always see them referred to as secret codes lol
those codes will not work on aosp based roms. which codenameandroid is. if you need to use those codes you will need to flash back to a touchwiz based rom.
ahhh i see. makes sense lol thanks!

Back then it was*#*#4636#*#*Or something like that, has anyone figured out what are the dialer codes for our galaxy note 2?

Hello sir,
You doesn't need to root your device for some code to run successfully,
Try this few code as I used it before this to check my faulty device :
#*0*# - To run some test on your device.
#*0011# - To run Service Mode. There's an option to Turn Off the Wifi Power Saver Mode
*#1234# - To check your device Version of Android.
Hope this can help sir as this is a few notable code that I used to check on device before this.

Codes for Sammy and AOSP based roms are different.
On CM10.1 *#*#4636#*#* (or something similar) will work. On Sammy based it won't.

[APK] Enhance Streaming Media on the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3

This should work with Sprint users as well as those trying to flash it to another carrier. Sprint tries to route streaming media such as Youtube and Pandora through their own servers. This bypasses that. Please let me know if you have issues.
The great thing about this application is that it DOES NOT require the SPC to be punched in vs if you tried to access this area via ##data#.
Credit for the application goes to MagicalPhones. He told me to post this.

When I hit the "Open Multimedia Menu" ... the app closes. and nothing happens. I fixed permissions just in case still no go. I am on a AOSP rom, not the stock TW?
It's probably only required for TouchWiz based ROMs.
same thing happened to me running aokp rom. Yeah it must be only TW roms.
May be we need to be on a TW rom to do this change and then get back on an AOSP. Just like the PRL update thing. Just a thought.

If memory serves me correctly, in AOSP you can't access the dialer menus (i.e. ##3282#). If that's the case then this won't work on an AOSP. This app does the same thing if you go into the ##3282# menu and zero out the proxy sever settings. The nice thing is that with this app, you don't need to know what your MSL number is.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, aosp doesn't route multimedia through sprint's servers (only sprint based tw ROMs do this)... therefore, it isn't necessary on aosp ROMs

I see nothing but "NONE" in all my categories after picking Samsung Tools from this app. I don't have anything else. Are we supposed to see other settings?
This does the same thing as ##3282# /edit/others/multimedia and removing the proxies.

yes but then again if your doing PRL update or if in the future you change your phone number you gonna need that again, i just need to disable that code without effecting anything else, do you know how we can do that
As I said just rename it. If/when you need it it takes a rename and reboot and your back in business. The only ways I know of require same style changes.
