connection error msn - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Why does my phone randomly say network connection error msn at the bottom of the screen? It also says connection error aol.

??

Are you running any instant messaging apps in the background? Do the messages show up when you don't have wifi or a data connection?

Go to messaging\Setup E-mail and just use automatic setup and it will connect via POP3.
Doesn't work POP3 either, I did it before and nothing....I was searching on internet and most of peoples said that use IMAP4 but nothing....
I'd like if anyone that has proxy 5.99 TMO has been configured GMAIL on WM6.1
What server are you using guyz???
I have gmail setup on kavana's 6.1 rom also using tzones 5.99 for internet. works fine. Im just using the regular pop and smtp settings
What option do you have for the server...Internet?
with that doesn't work mine and I change for: T mobile MMS, T mobile Data, work....doesn't work either
I have mine set to work.
I have the same problem. I have the unlimited plan and I get the "connection error" and I it asks for my login and password over and over. I only have this problem with 6.1. I have tried the T-mobile email plugin, and the other 3 ways of adding an email account.
Wierd thing is, I backed up my 6.0 data before the swap to 6.1 with Sprite backup. When I restore to the 6.1 I get me email back and it works fine, problem is that it really screws up most of the stuff I got with 6.1.
I also have the same issue.
My Yahoo and Gmail worked fine on 6.0.
6.1 Yahoo refused to work until just the other day...It has not worked since the 6.1 install until now...
Gmail will not work either no matter what... It did download the headers, but it shows nothing and will not work otherwise...
if you guys want tell me the screens you need and ill get you the settings that work for me.
I tried a lot of option and nothing guys, let see what I do....I did POP & IMAP and nothing..I tried Yahoo and doesn't work either instead they work fine through IE.
I did it POP as default and "works" sometimes, when you click on send/receive gave you the Connection ERROR....and when the system did by itself work good ( I think)...
ERROR....." The remote party has ended this connection"...
I go a new messajw
"The remote party has ended this connection"....
Does anyone has this message before?
just out of curiosity do you have pop turned on thru gmail?
Off course....
And I have setting up to "work" too
When I push (send/receive) gave that error...
Only download automatically messages twice when it's wants....
What do you recommend me to do?

Exchange sync only works over WiFi

As the title states, I'm syncing with an exchange (2007) server. Over Wifi everything is fine, Over 3G/GPRS/HSPDA the phone can't sync. Browsing the web, the market, or syncing gmail all works fine, both over WiFi and 3G.
Anyone have any idea to what's causing this? I've had contact with my provider (Vodafone) and they responded with the message the expect the program I use doesn't have the permission it needs to access the 3G data connection.

No "push" notifications when on 3G

Guys, i'm trying to figure out if it's a phone problem, a software problem or a provider problem, but my situation is as follows.
When i'm on WiFi i have Gmail push notifications instantly (sometimes faster than my PC). The same with Facebook, when on WiFi it sends the notifications normally.
When i'm on 3G i never get Gmail notifications unless i open the gmail app and "Update". Same with Facebook (and twitter). If i have it to update every 1 hour, it doesn't auto-update on 3G unless i sync.
I tried everything...factory reset, uninstall gmail and reinstall...clear app data and cache...Auto-sync is on
I'm currently on 1.29.401.7, but problem was the same on 1.28.401.9
Any ideas?

Sync and Notifications not working

I'm not getting any notifications from Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp, e-mail etc when I'm on a data connection (Works on wi-fi). E-mail says "Couldn't open connection to server", Whatsapp doesn't send or receive messages and Facebook and twitter work normally in app, but without notifications.
I'm running CM9 as my ROM. Help.

[Q] I747M can't send email when on wi-fi

Hi everyone,
My mother-in-law has the I747M with Telus, completely stock, and cannot send any emails through her third-party email provider when connected on wi-fi. Tried POP3 as well as IMAP settings, as well as SSL on and SSL off. Followed instructions from that email provider's set up doc as well.
This issue ONLY happens with this device, no matter on wi-fi at her home or wi-fi at my home. She has an iPad2 which is set up on same wi-fi networks and uses the same third-party email provider settings, but can send emails fine when on either wi-fi network (wtf, iOS doing something that Android can't???)
Incoming emails are coming through fine either way. Outgoing email will only send when she turns off wi-fi and the phone connects back onto the wireless network. Otherwise they just sit in Outgoing folder.
I've exhausted my searches both on Google and here.
Hoping NOT to have to set up a web email account to redirect emails, and hoping NOT to have to install a third-party email app if possible (aware of MailDroid or K9Mail).
Thanks in advance!

Try with the stock email client. Recreate the account on the device.

T'was all stock, including email client app on her S3... by stock I mean Samsung email app
Using same app now and it was successfully sending emails over wifi after removing her email account and re-adding it.
