CM9 for LU6200

freefall12 already wrote info's about the CM9 version for LU6200 in the thread call record empty on 404 stock.
I really think we need an own thread for this.
http://bbs.fengbao.com/thread-997843-1-1.html
I downloaded and flashed it today and must say, very impressive.
But there are bugs no question, not suitable for daily usage now.
Guess if the nightly-time is over that could be a very good ROM.
Some issues i found for the short time i had it:
- Camera cant connect (closes with FC)
- Videoplayer freezes
But things i really like is the design and the languages where i can choose from.
One question, dont know if someone have a solution. Since i had to flash the engineer version of ICS to get root, is it possible to just flash the ICS and after that CM9 with root?
Yes, base on the engineer KDZ, not ICS KDZ.
In fact just need the bootloader based on engineer version.
i'm not sure what you want. but you can easily go back to official ICS using CWM recovery, without reflashing the whole kdz or the other way around. is that what you're asking for ?

jxxhwy, i'm curious about what changes you've made to the CM9 kernel? thanks for the great work!
P930 github link
device:https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_lge_p930
930 kernel:https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-iproj
based on the above compiled, modify some scripts files and kernel source file。
you just made some modifications to the kernel and no changes to the ROM? you compiled it on ubuntu 12.04 ? i'd be grateful if you elaborate!
CM9 is still not fix vibration & 3G.

No, sorry if i didn't make it clear enough... if i go back to stock ICS, on the first LG bootscreen it still shows "engineer version".
Because i had to flash the engineer version (KDZ) before i flashed the ICS in order to get root and CWM after that.
So how does it work if i come from GB 2.3 to CM9... just flash the ROM in CWM?

if you upgrade to CM9 from GB,you will need to flash engineer version's mmcblk0p7 and ICS cwm recovery first.otherwise your phone probably will not boot and recovery will not work.that's because the mmcblk0p7 part is responsible for bootstrapping. hope i made myself understood!
OMG.. I thought CM9 would never come.. A Korean guy is also porting the AOKP to LU6200 and heard it's also in quite usable state. I'm restarting my phone to make a nand backup.

Thanks for the info! Do you have any link to the AOKP version, or is it not public now?
I really like the CM9, hope soon it will be stable. Right now if i connect via USB there is no dialog appearing, asking me to choose mass storage or any other option. My USB drivers are ok, it also connects without any problem in CWM.
An older version of this CM9 (19.06.2012) didn't have this issue.

128firmware+143baseband ? Is this working well with CM9/ICS and is this because of the GPRS/Data Network issue?
Flashed it, but GPRS/Data is still not working for me.

No issue with SMS so far, but i'm back to ICS now. If GPRS/DataNetwork would working, i would really use the CM9.
I have no clue about the P930 vibration issue.

So i finally rooted my LGOG v9. Finally!!! Now i want to flash because i cant wait for jelly bean. But im like so clueless. Like what are gaaps?? can someone please show me how to flash a good cm roms. Or make a vid!!!!
You should google first, I know everyone was a first timer at one point, but at least try googling how to use recovery to flash roms.
Do that, and follow the OP installation instructions, and you'll be fine.

Don't think that Rom will work for him. Chances are he has upgraded to the latest version of LG's firmware. And I doubt he will have luck trying to downgrade. Maybe link him to Houston's jb leaks. They flash problem free without having to downgrade.

I'd link it myself, but the option to copy a threads URL in xda isn't working for me: (

Your best bet is to read, read, read. Each device may respond a little bit differently to each ROM, and what apps you install can have an effect as well. It can be a long process, but the only way to say what ROM works for you is to try it

Suggestions please

I'm still a noob when it comes to flashing and installing custom roms.
I brick my phone on my first attempt in installing a chobits rom.
So now I'm trying to flash a stock rom on my phone.
Can anyone suggest what rom should I install on my phone.
One that is stable and no bugs. Also easy to install.
Thanks.
So far I've only been successful in rooting my phone.
dude just follow instruction when flashing a crom..
evry crom has its written instruction.. just read and also have a nandroid backup..
i can suggest try hyperion 8 build 2.. its very stable and fast..

[Q] beanstalk 4.3 installation order

I was going to try beanstalk 4.3 and am unsure about the order to do the installation. Do I flash the hercules recovery zip, back up ROM, wipe phone, flash rom , flash gapps, in that order?
Did you read the OP in the Beanstalk thread?? Might help.

Yes I did and it say to do it in that order. I thought that seemed odd, so I would ask.

Always best to do what the OP says....in most cases....rather than have people who may not even know what they are doing tell you different.

Just make sure you understand what you're reading before you do anything...or things can go bad.

Boot 2 roms...

I have read that it is possible to boot 2 roms at once? have searched around but the only thing i see if for the i9300 i believe and just curious if i can get it to work on my i747m so i can try another rom without having to get rid of mine and re-flash.... :S
Currently running Dirty Unicorns 8.1 and wanting to try slimkat and just figure it would be neat to be able to boot into either one without having to flash every time....
Any help would be appreciated!
I haven't tried it yet, but here's the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2684052
Im running it right now. Just search XDA for TWRP multiboot, it will be version 2.8.3.0 I believe and flash it in recovery
