Thank you in advance for all of your help. This community is great!
Alright so i just made the switch to Cyanogen 6 2 days ago. I am having constant trouble with force close with my e-mail. I cant even add a corporate e-mail if I wanted to. I have also had the cyanogen logo pop up suggesting a restart of the devise and get stuck in that start up screen. It is really starting to piss me off.
Am i doing something wrong? Is it because I am overclocked? is anyone else having these problems? Please help. Is there a better rom?
Thank you again for your help.
You can try searching the forums first.
I found this while searching CM6 Email Issue
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...6&d=1283500340
The link will download an Email.apk file. Install that and you will be good.
Or, try to install one of the nightly ROMS. I just installed #120 and I don't have any email issues with both Gmail app and regular email app.
Either way, I would suggest keeping up on the nightly builds if you want the latest CM6 version with bugs being fixed almost daily.
CM devs say the nightly builds aren't stable releases, but I have never had issues with them. (c:
Hope this helps.
Hey all
Jdelano started this for CM9 for the OG Epic; it seemed to workout well there. So I figure since CM10 has dropped. Lets get the ball rolling and compile a pseudo FAQ / Support thread to keep the development thread as clean as we can.
I'll scan the CM10 threads and attempt to complile a conprehensive list of problems and their solutions here in a formatted (hopefully) easy to read/find way.
Please feel free to assist in answering questions or letting me know where something new has popped up.
Thanks!!!

FAQ:
Q:Where is the Sprint CM10 Development Thread?
A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778266
Q: What version is CM10 currently at?
A: CM10 was just a preview build until the 8/15 release, after which it moved to nightly stage. The Nightly builds can be found HERE. Changelogs for nightly builds is found HERE
****DISCLAIMER**** Nightly builds are the time when many new features are being merged and removed on a regular basis. They are automatically built each evening (most of the time) and therefore aren't tested like the previews were prior to nightly status. Therefore, things are very likely going to get broken from build to build...luckily they often times are fixed within a build or two, but it's up to your tolerance of such activity to determine how you prepare for a new flash. PLEASE ACT ACCORDINGLY. Yes, most of the time you may get away with wiping only cache & dalvic cache before flashing Nightly Rom & GApps zips - but please, make a Nandroid backup just in case. If you really want the features a new nightly offers but a "dirty" flash is causing problems, simply restore your Nandroid and do a clean install for maximum effectiveness.

A: The problem has been decreasing to next-to-nothing...but in case you're still having issues - check out the post by EndlessDissent
Q: Suddenly I have missing pictures using the stock gallery app, but apps like QuickPic see them fine. How can I fix that?
A: zanderman112 posted this; which says it may have to do with ROM Manager.
"Released a fix for ROM Manager where missing directories were causing the .nomedia file to be placed in the wrong directory. This was causing missing pictures from the gallery app. Sorry about that! Fixed in 5.0.1.4."
NOTE: you will still have to remove .nomedia files from the folders with media that you want the media scanner to find.

Anyone else getting "Damaged SD Card" notification?
So far, this seems more stable than the CM9 nightlies. So far, the only bugs I've encountered involves some of the already known issues including camera problems and losing root access (reflashing root from recovery worked), and when selecting notification/ringer sounds the sound preview doesn't seem to play (yes, I checked it wasn't on vibrate).
Overall, I am very impressed for such an early build. Will be my daily driver. Excited to start seeing the CM customizations merged.
I updated the thread.
Does LTE work on this Build?
Im in a known good lte location. just no 4G notification.

I don't know if LTE works, but CM10 seems defaulted to CDMA only, so you'll need to change the mobile network mode in system settings to even try.
I cannot get my headphone jack to work with this ROM. Also the camera doesn't work for me if I try to only take a picture. It is completely capable of recording video and taking pictures while recording video.

thanks for posting; as I make my way around the forums and speak to the devs I'll see what I can find for you.
These things will be fixed some time early in the beta phase; I am sure (going by what I saw in the CM9 developement)
Of course my comments are my opinion and have no actual baring on the development time of CM10
Left out one thing, I'm not getting 3G unless I put the phone into LTE/CDMA mode

I haven't seen these issues reported over in the development thread, you may want to wipe everything and reflash and be sure to not restore any data (if you did) and see how things go.

Tried flashing several times, same issues appeared every time.
Followed standard flashing procedures. Wiped user data, cache partition, and davlik cache. The last time I flashed I also formatted system.
Update available
UPDATE: noobl posted an update @ 3:39am 7/18/2012 which can be downloaded here http://d-h.st/4Kk
here is the post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=180
updated FAQ with voicemail options
In the newest release the option for quick pin unlock is there, but doesn't work. And opening settings -> interface -> system crashes.
I'm currently running the LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 RC1 ROM for my Vzw Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Toro). I see the threads created for other devices but not the Toro.
Running great so far but would love a place for discussions on what few bugs people are able to find to help with the next build.
Found bugs:
Crash when opening LiquidSmooth Settings for lockscreen
Goo Manager is appearing as pre-installed but can't be found on the phone outside of Manage Apps and can't be uninstalled or installed over.

Both of those issues confirmed for me. Also FC when trying to set up swiftkey
Workaround for this: restore swiftkey using TB, then go into the settings and set swiftkey as your input device.
Agreed - i noticed exactly the same with RC1. As well I noticed:
- about -> status -> phone number not showing
- about -> status -> bluetooth address not showing
I also tried RC2 and after rebooting I got a polish (i think that was the language) message, that would not go away (no matter how many times i pressed 'ok'). So i reverted back to RC1.
Hey guys
I hope someone has some info on my issues, its kind of driving me nuts hahaha
The settings for toolbars and pie customization does not appear anywhere on the phone, before and after the latest paranoid 4.2beta5 update.
I also flashed the kernel and am using the franco latest release, still the same.
Oh and also the peek notification is activated and nothing appears at all.
Ive done the following clean install of updated ROM and kernel, cleared the dalvik cache a few times
If anyone has any idea whats going on some help would be highly appreciated
Thanks guys
Please read the change log thread. Not all previous features from PA3+ exists in PA4+
The change log lists ALL currently available features
Flashed AOKP version task650 I cannot access general Settings. I can get into ROM settings and KERNEL settings but when I try to access general settings I get a popup that says unfortunately, settings has stopped. Any idea on this or do you guys need anything else like a log file. If so could you please let me know how to get the log file. Thanks
Does no body have any thought on how I can fix this? I'm new to this ROM I am used to CM but changed because of the bugs in it. AOKP so far only has this one bug but I kinda need to access my settings. I flashed a newer nightly build that doesn't even have the settings option. So please any help would be great
No one can help you here as this is for a different model s3.
I will get a mod to move it for you.
Edit: Done, thanks @Faiz Malkani
Good Luck.
If the settings option was taken out of the newest nightly then that pretty says that its a known problem to the dev and will get fixed later
