[Q] Killing Progs - HTC Wildfire S

Hi. I just bought an HTC Wildfire and I have many progs opening up which I think are slowing my device (especially keyboard). I downloaded task manager in order to kill these progs however after some time they open up again. Examples of these progs are Friend Stream, Maps, Peep, Stocks. These are progs that I actually don't use and don't need. Is there a way to stop them from restarting?
Thanks

You're gonna have to root your device and remove programd you don't need.

Hi,
DON'T USE TASK MANAGERS.
They only create one more process running in the background, and therefore are counter-productive.
You'll have to root, and manually delete those apps you don't need/use.

Integrating HTC Audio manager into HTC Home plugin

I have an HTC herald running WM6. I was wondering if it is possible, as the title suggests, to use the music view tab on the 6 tab HTC home plugin to view the status of HTC audio manager.
I know it works with WMP, but i was wondering if it could work with HTC audio manager, which is preferred over WMP. or at least for me.
bump.
Just thought i'd clarify somethings also.
I mean the little music tab on the HTC HOME plugin, the 6tab one. Normally, it runs off WMP.
THanks
Hope you dont take this the wrong way but Most of the guys and gals here are interested only in upgrading and modifying their devices' ROM. Youll get more replies for this kind of queries in the development and hacking forum.

system optimizer.

Neither nore... But I used them both in iPAQ Times. Now I am using SK-Tools. The reasons for that are:
a really good support
more tweaking possibilities
faster than the versions of PocketMechanic I know (around about one year ago)
really effective
available in many languages
Using Memmaid 2.1 atm.
Works great, though somehow my HD hangs if the "used" memory reaches over 56% ....
But that's offtopic.
Memmaid works great!
memmaid!
got it free and it works brilliantly
cleartemp is supplied on dutty's ROMs. Been using that to clear up cache's and unrequired files etc.
I use/prefer pocket mechanic i find sktools ok but like with notification que and reg clean it doesn't do it automatically just gives you a list of keys and you pick each to delete ect. pocket mechanic scans and offers to delete duplicates automatically, fix broken keys automatically or lets you manually edit or delete them
Optimize program
You can use MindSoft Mobile Utilities www.pocketmindsoft.com

Mutiple programs won't stay open on my Tilt 2

I've had my Tilt 2 for several weeks now and for some reason, I cannot seem to have more than one app open at the same time. As soon as I open a second program, it kills whatever else was running.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I have Auto Kill disabled...
Help!?
It also happens with my Hermes and Raphael..
My Hermes (Dopod 838 pro) running official WM6 ROM
My Raphael (HTC Touch Pro) running stock WM6.1 ROM (Version 1.9)
It's a big problem, I can't keep my Twitter, downloader, and Messenger app to run at the background..

So let's say you open File Explorer. You press the Windows button. Now you open Word Mobile and make a new document. Now press the Windows button and go to Home. It still says you closed everything in the HTC Task Manager?
If so, that's weird... looks like you bought yourself an iPhone with a keyboard!
For some unknown reason Windows Mobile 6.x will only run a maximum of 32 processes at one time no matter how much RAM is free. This includes all the basic phone etc that's running.
Clever eh ?
That's some amazing forward thinking Microsoft did. It obviously didn't occur to them that someone might come along and release a device with a faster processor and a load of RAM.
Find yourself a process manager program, not the HTC taskmanager. While typing this I had a quick look and I am running 28.
As I recall, WinMo will close apps if it runs low on memory so the first thing I would do is reboot the phone and bring up task manager and see how much free memory you have left. Then keep watching memory as you do what you normally do with the phone. It's not how WinMo is supposed to act by default and my phone doesn't act that way so it's either an app, how you use it or a hardware fault.

Lots of threads on this, and no, it's NOT memory. It's processes.

Not seen one. If you do plz give me a shout ! Don't even know if it'd be possible. To me it seems like it could be a Kernel level issue.
How can I see all running processes?

Hi i have tried on Omnia Pro B7610 to avoid auto-closing of apps but the result is not satisfactorie, as everapp is also stopped and besides i cant launch the app (excel or word) from the shorcut after the taskmanager autoclose these. If you have some usefull information regarding this issue i will appreciate it.

Application manager/organizer?

Hello,
Before my htc one x, i had a htc hd2 with custom android rom, in this rom it was possible to organize my apps.
So i could make a map with software, games etc.
I loved it, but i can't fix it on the one x, does anyone know how to do this?
Now I mean the apps if you push the "little blocks" on the bottom in the middle on your homescreen.
So all the apps you installed.
I tried app folders, but didn't work...
thanks
