Suggest you re-read the Rom faqs/install instructions and check your sd ext is big enough, you're selecting INT2SD-S etc

i've read them but no luck..
i can't install any rom using AlphaRev CM7 r2 .. (
is ext4 partition not corrupted? check it in 4ext recovery... for Seb's rom nearly all important files are there
you a) don't have an sd-ext partiton
b) aren't giving the ROM enough time to boot. Sense ROMs take about 10 minutes the first time, they aren't virgins.
Also, I assume you did do a full wipe before flashing?

In the aroma setup, what option did ya choose: basic or customize? You have to choose customize setup so that you can choose the right 1 for your hboot, A2SD, IN2SD+S and so on. Im using runnymede aio v6.1.1 s/e IN2SD+S and im using alpharev data++, 1gb ext4 (no swap) and works fine. Try full wipe, and repartition sd card to 1gb ext4 and try the rom again

I have an unbranded HTC Desire, previously it had Hboot 0.93, S_ON.
I tried to use Alpharev and not when i boot i have:
Bravo PVT3 s-off
hboot 6.93.1002
radio 4.06.00.02_2
I tried to run RUU.exe but I get error 170!
i have an HTC logo bootloop and I can't get it to start normally, not even to recovery
what can I do to rollback to the previous state??
Thank you in advance, please help!!!!
You running one of the r2 hboots of alpharev. These hboots are protected, so they cannot be overwritten by ruu. You have to flash bravo downgrader first and then stock hboot:

Now you can run the ruu again.

I was just trying to get my Desire working again.
I flashed recovery again and I can go to recovery.
I had a nandroid backup of my 2.5 Leedroid and made it work again.
Unfortunately some system apps do not work, (calendar, market, etc) and cannot install them again
Flashed Bravo CM7 r2 and I am trying to flash a new ROM (LeeDroid V3.0.8.2) but I get stuck in HTC boot screen...
Did you do full wipe/factory reset + dalvik cache wipe prior to flashing new ROM?
Did you partitioned SD card correctly, also EXT 3 alignment patch? Are you sure you flashed Data++ version not the A2SD?

yes, I did all of them.
the problem is:
I used Leedroid 2.5 + data2whatever. I flashed A2sd+data2whatever
AFAIK LeeDroid V3.0.8.2 A2SD version is made for stock hboot, maybe thats why you had bootloop?

Hi all!
I'm a little noobish on Android and customizing it, but I've been playing around and I've been trying to install Sense 3.0 Roms like:
Cool3D RunnyMede v2
Cool3D AceS v3
Aurora v03
Aced Off!
PyramidMod007
And every time when I try to install them I would get stuck at the HTC Splash screen(quietly brilliant); it would just constantly reboot that screen for some reason. I've tried letting it sit for 30 minutes but nothing happened
Here's what I have on my phone:
Revolutionary CWM
Bravo PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.17.05.23
And my installing procedure is:
1. Backup current nandroid
2. Delete cache, delete user data, delete dalvik cache
3. Install ROM
4. Install the rom converter CM7 --> HBoot.zip
5. Install Dalvik cache to ext. zip file
6. Reboot
I've actually tried installing them on CM7 too, but I reverted back to HBoot because my current rom requires Stock hboot.
Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
Try installing one at a time, rebooting between each one.
That's very weird something u are doing wrong for sure but can't understand what from what u wrote because there is no way that roms with sense 2.1 works and others with 3 no... It's impossible

What I did was backup and install one rom at a time, and when it doesn't work I revert back to my original rom, then I would try installing another one hours after or something, and I just repeated the process. I didn't install one on top of another.
@ halaros2
I was just actually trying to install other roms. I'm not sure what you mean by that 2.1 doesn't work with 3.0?
Thanks for the replies!
Are you rebooting after installing the rom?.....or are you installing rom, then Hboot, then Dalvik zip?
You need an ext partition on your SD card, do you not read the requirements before flashing?

2.5. Install Hboot CM7/r2
Then replace step 4 with a reboot, making sure the rom works first, then following by installing any mod. When installing mod, also clear dalvik cache before and after

Sad to hear that.
Maybe check following things :
1) On Hboot screen, does it show CM7 r2 - S-OFF, once you sure about that, can ignore any hboot installation later, it is because of other problem
2) Does it get to the 2nd stage of the boot i.e. showing "quite brilliant" ? if yes... should be booting to your rom soon, so wait !
3) Boot to recovery, mount sd-card to usb, and use gparted to check if you ext is there, 1GB and it's ext4, the other should be FAT32
- or you can remake it by using the partition sdcard on the recovery, and use gparted to convert it to ext4
This is really strange, you must be doing something wrong but I just can't work out what haha

1) Should I check the CM7/r2 screen on the Bootloader after installing the cm7/r2 to HBoot converter.zip file? I just did that and my boot loader still shows HBoot. And Yes it says S-OFF.
2) When I first boot up after installing the rom, the "quietly brilliant" screen reboots, so it would load HTC quietly brilliant, then do that over and over again. Am I supposed to wait there?
3) I created the partition with a partition wizard, and I double checked that I have an ext 4 partition on my mac.
1) which ROM are you trying to install ? If it's cool3d or aurora, just install the CM7r2, don't install the converter whatsover, once you get it done you will see CM7r2 in pink at your hboot screen. if you don't know what you're having, just download the new one here http://alpharev.nl/

Actually for cool's roms, you can remain on stock hboot. All you do is flash stock_users.zip after the Rom. Although it is better to be on CM7r2 as it gives more space for apps.

Hello all,
This is the first time I encounter a dilemma like that!
I've been flashing ROMs for more than 6 months, changing recoveries, switching between different Hboot without a single problem. But now, I have this:
I found out that the old Hboot files had the version of 0.93.1000 and the new ones has version 6.93.1002. I flashed RunnyMede V5 stock Hboot by sebastiaan15, and it worked fine (on stock Hboot version 0.93.1000). Now I want to try the cm7r2 version of the ROM, so I flashed cm7r2 Hboot using the command line in windows (as I always do), then wiped and formatted everything (cache, dalvik, data, system...) and flashed the ROM but I am stuck on the first HTC boot screen (green font on white background) for a whole night.
I changed the recovery from RA 2.0.1 to ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0 to 4EXT but with no luck. My SD card is class 6 and partitioned with fat32 and 1GB ext4.
And by the way if I flash the new stock Hboot (version 6.93.1002) and try to install the stock Hboot version of sebastiaan15's RunnyMede V5 (the one that worked for me on the old Hboot version 0.93.1000) I am also stuck on the first boot screen!
I would really appreciate it if anyone can help.
Thank you.
Maybe your sd partition corrupted.

It is 16GB class 6, partitioned with 1 GB ext4, and the rest for fat32. And it was partitioned with 4EXT recovery.
Yesterday I installed RunnyMede V5.2 stock Hboot version on my old Hboot (version 0.93.1000) and it is working perfectly. I still haven't tried the cm7r2 version of the ROM, I would like to try it but I really want to know if anyone has a solution for the case I posted in the first post. The reason that makes me want to try the cm7r2 version is the more internal space I need.
The RunnyMede V5 stock Hboot didn't work on the new stock Hboot (6.93.1002), and that is what's really confusing me!!
Thanks for help guys.
EDIT:
I just tried this:
Backed up my current ROM (RunnyMede V5.2 installed on stock Hboot 0.93.1000), flashed the new stock Hboot (6.93.1002) the way alpharev site said, then wiped everything and restored the backup, still stuck on the first boot screen!!

Let me get this first...
I am now on stoch hboot version 0.93.1000, what I have to do is:
1. Flash cm7 Hboot.
2. Flash cm7r2 Hboot.
3. Flash the ROM.
Right?
Concerning my sd card, it is well partitioned as I mentioned before, the ext4 and fat32 are working properly on my current rom (RunnyMede V5.2 stock Hboot), so the sd card is not the issue.

If this is what you have then you don't have the cm7r2 hboot. At the top of the Bootloader it should say "AlphaRev CM7 r2" in pink.
To install this hboot, download it from the alpharev site (http://alpharev.nl/). Make sure it's the "Download" one, not the PB99IMG" one.
Download Android Flasher (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794638) and use it to install the new hboot.

After I flash the cm7r2 either with android flasher or with the way alpharev site describes, then install the RunnyMede V5.2 cm7r2 version, after the first boot it is stuck on HTC boot screen... This is the problem am facing with every rom I install with the new hboot versions (6.93.1002).

Well, if CM7 boots there must be something wrong with your sd. Try to completely wipe and reformat it with Gparted, then create an ext4 (1gb) followed by a fat32 partition. If this still doesn't work, it means the sd must be corrupt and you have to use another one.
Edit:
Or yes, it could be a bad download as zedmarcus said. I thought you checked the MD5 hashes before flashing

Hello xda,
I'm having a current issue with my HTC Desire phone.
I wanted to load a custom rom on my desire, specifically the Runnymede 5.2 mod, but i encountered some problems, mainly due to my own stupidity.
I rooted the phone with unrevoked, and then installed rom manager to load a custom rom on my phone. After this, when i start my phone, it only shows the intro from htc and beats audio, then it just reboots and does it all over. Seems this guide i followed (not from here, should have used the one here), said nothing about s-on or s-off, neither about partisions.
I am able to get into recovery mode from clockword mod.
Info about my phone:
Boot menu info:
BRAVO PVT3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0001

Kinda wondering if i'm able to find a standard rom somewhere, and then install it with clockword mod, or is that impossible because the security is on? If that's not possible, what else should I do? I read the Q/A post, but didn't encounter my specific problem...
If you need more info i'll post asap,
Thanks in advance,
Mauro

your bootloop is most likely caused by the wrong hboot...as you are still s-on, you got the stock hboot...you need cm7r2 hboot to run runnymede 5.2

Hello I haven't undrestand something about s-off .
My desire is s-off with Hboot 0.93.0001 do i have to do something to go to cm7r2 or I am ok as it is (since it is s-off)?
Well you are okay as it is but if you wanna get more space for your apps then you may wanna go with cm7r2 so that your partiton allocation of your phone's internal memory is changed and used more efficiently.
Details on how to get cm7r2 is on alpharev.nl

Also, bear in mind that with CM7r2 hboot, you will have to download a Rom compatible with CM7r2. The stock Rom or any roms that requires more than 145mb on the system partition will not be compatible and will cause the phone to bootloop.

Please read the requirements in the rom's thread. Also search the thread. Then all your questions should be answered.

Also, bear in mind that with CM7r2 hboot, you will have to download a Rom compatible with CM7r2. The stock Rom or any roms that requires more than 145mb on the system partition will not be compatible and will cause the phone to bootloop.

This happened to me when I was trying to install Runnymede (and I wanted the A2SD+, for which I believe you need CM7r2). I was running stock ROM and couldn't get back into it to run 4ext.
Does that mean I was doing it in the wrong order? Do I need to run 4ext first to prepare everything, then flash the hboot, then flash the ROM from recovery?

Yes. CM7r2 is too small for the stock rom to be used. And you can reboot into 4ext by pressing the volume down and power button at the same time, navigate to recovery with the volume button and confirm selection with power button. There just wipe everything and flash your rom.
