Hello xda,
I'm having a current issue with my HTC Desire phone.
I wanted to load a custom rom on my desire, specifically the Runnymede 5.2 mod, but i encountered some problems, mainly due to my own stupidity.
I rooted the phone with unrevoked, and then installed rom manager to load a custom rom on my phone. After this, when i start my phone, it only shows the intro from htc and beats audio, then it just reboots and does it all over. Seems this guide i followed (not from here, should have used the one here), said nothing about s-on or s-off, neither about partisions.
I am able to get into recovery mode from clockword mod.
Info about my phone:
Boot menu info:
BRAVO PVT3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0001
MICROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNW0101
RADIO-5.11.05.27
Kinda wondering if i'm able to find a standard rom somewhere, and then install it with clockword mod, or is that impossible because the security is on? If that's not possible, what else should I do? I read the Q/A post, but didn't encounter my specific problem...
If you need more info i'll post asap,
Thanks in advance,
Mauro
I had the same problem. Ran unrevoked, took a nandroid, went to reboot and got stuck in a boot loop. Had to run the Ruu for 2.2 to fix it.

Did you wipe, meet all the requirements in the Rom thread and flash the right version for your hboot?
What guide?

you do not have an ext3 oder ext4 on your sd card?
do you have a nandroid backup? restore it!
your bootloop is most likely caused by the wrong hboot...as you are still s-on, you got the stock hboot...you need cm7r2 hboot to run runnymede 5.2

I don't have a nandroid backup, i tried just to get into usb storage with clockwork recovery, then using the alpharev method, but that fails...

I tried running a RUU but that didn't work either :/
EDIT:
I fixed the problem my installing a stock rom with clockworkmod:

Now i'll follow the tutorial from this website, and this time not forget the to s-off and make a partition, thanks anyways!

I'm S-OFF with clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 recovery, I had oxygen 2.0.3 installed, with oxygen table.
I wanted to try leedroid rom, so I first applied the stock table via PB99IMG + hboot method, then I flashed the alignment zip for the ext part, then I flashed the leedroid v305 rom.
After rebooting, it stayed 10 minutes on the "why so serious" screen, then I pulled off the battery and repeated: same story.
I can access to hboot and recovery without problems, I tried to flash other roms (the previous oxygen, the new one, a rooted stock) but they all give the same error.
I didn't make a nandroid this time, so I can't revert...
What can I do?

Worst case scenario: flash stock and redo the procedure: root, s-off, hboot and ROM. The only time my phone stuck while installing a rom was when recovery wasn't the one that was supposed to be. Try to upgrade you recovery. Good luck !
You SD is screwed because of alignment. Format it again.

I fake flashed clockworkmod 2.5, re-partioned the sd card and now it flashed leedroid 3 without problems! Thanks for the quick help!
No worries mate.

Hello XDA Forums.
My HTC Desire recently started to hang at the AlphaRev S-Off Screen with the Joker on it. I had recently flashed the rom to be CM7.0.0 Using rom manager and Iam pretty sure I was using the latest CWMod using the update from ROM Manager. The first 10 reboots were completely okay on CM7 and everything was going smoothly. However, on this reboot, I am now stuck on the S-Off Screen. I tried updating the HBOOTs with the Bravo CM7 r2 and it still fails. I did a fastboot flash and then wiped everything and used a CM7 Nandroid Backup that I made after the reboot hangs started happening. Does anyone know the reason why Or can help me fix this?
Here are my settings in bootloader

Forgot forever rom manager, flash always from recovery
the same problem here...don't use rom manager..!
Hi, i rooted my desire yesterday and flashed with CWM 2.5.0.7.
I wiped all factory data and cache, flash the rom, reboot. It showed HTC logo without the "quietly brilliant" and all of a sudden, the screen went black.
I couldn't power up my phone until i pull the battery out and restore back to my original rom. Any idea what's happening and how to solve it?
The rom i tried to flash: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113070
What do I need to do in order to flash that rom?
My device
Bravo PVT4 (erasesize 20000) ship S-ON
hboot 0.93.0001
CWM 2.5.0.7
Radio: 5.11.05.27
rooted with unrevoked 3.32
I might S-OFF it with alpharev soon so that i can flash CWM 3.2 to partition my sd card.
Probably you didnt partitioned your SD Card, or did it incorrectly.
If you gonna S-OFF i suggest to use 4Ext Recovery for partitioning.
I tried alpharev hboot reflash utility for s-off.
It said device is not recognised or supported at the moment.
Q: if i want hboot cm7, do I need to s-off first before flashing hboot cm7?
btw, thanks for your suggestion, but 4extrecovery looks complicated for newbie like me @[email protected]

Hi, I've researched this problem to exhaustion, but with no luck. Im hoping someone here has some insight.
I have an HTC Desire CDMA with:
Bravoc DVT2 SHIP S-off
Hboot 6.06.1002
Radio 2.15.00.11.16
Andriod 2.2
S offed with revolutionary and rooted with unrevoked.
I've tried 4 versions of clockwork mod (even the one revolutionary auto flashes), and every time I make a backup, it'll complete fine and restore fine if I restore it right away, but after I reboot the phone once every backup will have an MD5 mismatch error. I want to start using a custom ROM but I'm too afraid to flash it without a working backup.
Anyone have any advice?
Anyone have any ideas?

Suggest you re-read the Rom faqs/install instructions and check your sd ext is big enough, you're selecting INT2SD-S etc

i've read them but no luck..
i can't install any rom using AlphaRev CM7 r2 .. (
is ext4 partition not corrupted? check it in 4ext recovery... for Seb's rom nearly all important files are there
you a) don't have an sd-ext partiton
b) aren't giving the ROM enough time to boot. Sense ROMs take about 10 minutes the first time, they aren't virgins.
Also, I assume you did do a full wipe before flashing?

In the aroma setup, what option did ya choose: basic or customize? You have to choose customize setup so that you can choose the right 1 for your hboot, A2SD, IN2SD+S and so on. Im using runnymede aio v6.1.1 s/e IN2SD+S and im using alpharev data++, 1gb ext4 (no swap) and works fine. Try full wipe, and repartition sd card to 1gb ext4 and try the rom again

How do you flash hboot, via fastboot or .zip?

That ROM is supposed to be able to handle being installed with stock and then flashing cm7r2 with caches wipe only. Did it myself. Search that thread.
