[Q] Wifi iussi even with wifix

Hello guys
I´ve got 2 Questions:
1. When I installed originell ICS on my phone it was not as responsible like it was on Gingerbread and the WIFI was really bad. I tried it with das wifix-app but it didn´t helped. So I went back to gingerbread (TEAM Rom/Doom Kernel version 18/and some Mods) and everything is working perfectly). So why is my wifi so bad on ICS?
2. Do I have to stay on GB or will it be soon possible to have good wifi on my xperia arc s?

i will make every thing clear for you
1- i tried the official ics and same thing happens with me + poor battery life it's all about the proper baseband and kernel you can try ics custom roms you will find the right baseband and kernel included.
2- my advice is stick with GB VERY GOOD performance and battery life & as i tried every rom here i recommend you this rom

It´s okay
Ok the rom is fast, stable and runs fluid, but the battery life is bad for me
EDIT: Alright with baseband 70 and doomkernel 18 it´s great

You should try new ICS roms, especially Arconium 2.4. Since this last update, the rom seems a LOT more smoother, just like Gingerbread, and I'm having one day and a half for battery with intensive gameplaying (I'm Fruit Ninja addicted) and a few hours with Wi-Fi. And my Wi-Fi connection is great by the way. I'm on 70bb, DooMKernel v04, with SetCPU controlling my clock speeds when screen's off.

Which settings did you set in setcpu?
EDIT: Oh come on :/ ICS has everytime such a bad wifi connection -_- I will stay on gingerbread :/

[Q] Is CM10 okey for everyday use? Arc

I searched a lot at XDA forums, and Youtube. But there is no enough information about it. So i decided to ask. Maybe somebody could share his experience.
So I have 2 options.
1- Latest Stock ICS + root:
This option let me use all features of my phone.I can remove bloatware with this option. But there is no good customization options and i have a buggy UI.​2- CM10-fxp149:
This option gives me a lot of customization.​
But is CM10 stable enough to everyday use?.
I need
Fully working camera
Fully working video camera
xLoud
Enough stability for gaming (no or rare reboot problems)
Working FM Radio
Fully working wifi
Which option is best for me? Or you can suggest other options for me.

Out of the 2 choices you have provided, I would say Stock ICS with root based on the assumption that you don't seem very experienced. However if I may, I recommend using a custom rom based on stock ICS - that is - ICS with optimisation tweaks and all bloatware removed while still retaining the necessary functions and apps like the ones you mentioned. I recommend either Jelly Sandwhich or Xperia HD Ultimate

I agree which Jman. I move from CM 10 FXP146 to Pureness 14 on my Arc S yesterday. Why? Its more unstable while playing i thing. anyway the game were crashing, and RAM was crazy. At least panorama mode in camera didnt work 4 me.

I advice you to install th 1.8 x-gamer rom + doomkernel v22+the fps uncape+oc at 1.6 ghz trust me u wont regret it i get 4600 on antutu

clean Gingerbread vs CM9 rc5

Can anyone please name the advantages of CM9 installed on our phone?
Currently i use Bagux 1.4 and I've noticed these pros against cm9:
Better battery,
No connectivity problems,
Camera works faster..

I bought my Galaxy W has 8 days and I am already using the CM9, not sorry ...

Advantages:
1- It is ICS so it has more features and options. CM gives even more customizations to Android
2- It looks way better than stock GB
3- There are many custom kernels!
4- It has more attention from the devs, GB has WAY less attentions now.......
5- The theme option in setting, this means that you can change the colours of the rom just by installing an app
6- You will be upgrading to a rom that has been made by Sir Arco..........Enough said!
Disadvantages:
No FMradio

CM9!
arco68 is very good at it ... CM9 makes! The samsung is so ***** that left us in 2.3.6, but for that there XDA developers! : D: D

You can download Spirit Light, it's a FMRadio and it works greater than the original one for what I saw till now.. =)

i would say if you've used stock GB for a long time like me, you will find stock GB's interface to be more simple haha. But learning a new interface is never too hard so this is not much of a pro.
some even speculated that GB roms uses less battery than ICS/JB roms since well u know... GB has not much to offer xD! But I believe with more and more kernels developed within the ICS/JB frameworks, GB will also lose in the battery department.
So in conclusion, GB is outdated and should only be kept for preference purposes. (right now, I'm too lazy to migrate due to all the customization I have to redo and the ICS/JB rom still not finalized yet, yes I'm unreasonably demanding lol)

I've tried a lot of roms. Thought i will stick with CM9, but after experiencing wifi, data problems, battery drain, I've came back to GB Bagux rom, which runs smoothly for me and has no bugs or problems. I always change the interface with custom launchers, so looks of GB isnt an issue, since there is themes for its framework too. I think its better to have more free memory, than to run on the Edge of memory shortage like on CM9. And battery is definately better for example 1d16h on battery and 66% left. (didnt use phone much but still on cm9 it was 2-3% while deepsleep)

We can talk all day bout this topic. But in my opinion it really depends on what type of user you are.
In my case, i use camera a lot at work, i also use fm radio, and plays a lot of 3d games.
It's a mix feeling when you try those different roms. When i flashed CM10 i thought i was never gonna go back to GB.
JB brings new stuff, buttery smooth as they say, and it's the latest Android. But there are still bugs in the camera, and battery life isn't that good yet compared to GB. After using it for more than a month, i decided to try the latest GB update (2.3.6 dated December 2012).
I think i'm gonna stick with GB for the moment. Not until battery life is improved and those glitches in the camera are fixed.
To compensate the feeling of being outdated, i tried different launchers. I mean really different, like launcher 8 which totally mimics the windows phone interface. Looks can be easily achieved whether you are in GB or JB as there are plenty of launchers and customizations out there.
When it comes to performance, i managed to get the best of my current GB rom by carefully managing start ups and disabling apps which i do not really use. It plays all the 3d games i have with no lag at all. I do not overclock my phone, coz it will just eat up more battery.
Overall, i think my current setup is better and just what i need for daily use. It's quick, no bugs, reliable, and the battery can last 2 days with minimal use. So I'm satisfied and happy with it. For now..

Do High Def games work faster on Ginger Bread or CM9? I'm thinking of flashing F.A.W stock ROM... For the sake of gaming...

if you want to try gb for gaming install the latest euro update XXLMI (december 2012). i think it performs better.
install "autostarts" from market and disable auto starting apps to save memory.
u may want to freeze system apps you don't use also with link2sd. this is what i did basically, without any other tweaks and i'm happy with the result.

same here ,,, im a big fan of link2sd apps,, i used to link all my apps to my 32gb class 10 mmc,,, so that my phone memory never gets full,, whenever new game comes,,,,

Which rom have the Best performance in XP.

Hi, well this is a hard question, i like to know what rom are you using and Why?, because im flashaholic Ill try a lot of roms like gin2jelly, Atomic, aroma, miui, etc, but i still using the true ancestor 1.6 because for me this rom its fast, If i dont want open my XP i can play with the virtual jostik and have a battery life very acceptable..

in my option gin2jellybean is best in xp and futures and everything
i didint have any lag till now and everything is working great for me in v2.4

Last night i install gin2jelly 2.4.0 this from q clean install.. First install 2 3.0 and later the patch.. And i dont know If im the only one with this issue, but in all the games i test the virtual jostick doesnt works, or the buttons on screen, this like the touch doesnt Work, i really freak out because i think my touch era brocken, but when i get back to my nandroid of true ancestor everything going fine again. So tell me one of you have the same issue than i?

Best Gaming performance? Stock Rom (GingerBread) + Custom Kernel (Lupus v10 GB) for max and stable fps.
After a lot of time passing flashing roms, i found that all the "performance scripts" or "boosters" are causing fps drops in games, or they are placebo effects.
I tried flashing several versions of "Gin2JellyBean" but the only things i liked of this rom are the keyboard and the sound quality. Adrenobooster give me fps drops so i always delete it.
The custom rom that gave me best results after deleting Adrenobooster and init.d scripts is "Bane of Speed v4", that have almost the same gaming performance of the stock rom.
If the gaming isnt ur priority, you can go with Gin2JellyBean without Adrenobooster that have the best features.

Well i guess.. Im gonna try "Bane of Speed.. First.. Because im not a full gamer, but i like the smoothiness in games and in the entire system, when u select the options.. Thanks for the comment.

Well I don't know really what's wrong with that issue.. But I try first install the true ancestor rom and later the gin2jelly 2.4.0 and everything's work's great.. Obviously with lupus v10. Now the virtual button's works.

Is their another Rom or Rom + Kernel Combination anyone can share, i'm in need of a Speedy, Battery Improved custom rom.
I would just like to see if theirs a cyanogenmod particularly rom with a kernel thats perfect together or working fantastic together.
i use a bunch of social media apps and i;ve just delt

I;'ve been flashing a bunch of roms to test out for my daily driver or use and i can't seem to find a stable or even practical ROM for my Galaxy S3 (d2spr or d2lte)
I've recently flashed.
-C-Rom v7.1
Without flashing a kernel
-Its runs pretty smooth and nice but i need it to be a bit more tweaked to run faster. I'm still pretty new at kernel customization and or Tweaking and was wondering if theirs a profile or a save file i can transfer onto my phone with the best setting for me to use hopefully for my daily needs.
After i Flashed
+ Leankernel v9.7 (specifically, 9.9 didnt work nor did 9.19)
I'm not sure but with the updated verson of the kernel it either doesnt seem to boot or go past the samsung screen and with (v9.5) a few toggles won't work such as GPS and or WIFI and WIFI is a must for my activity since i have no service at the moment.
-Everything works with LK v9.7 but except when i go on Snapchat on the front facing camera it doesnt record even it shows that it is when hold the button down ( like the red goes all around the circle but it doesnt stop)
--I've tried CyangenMod 10.1.3 and 10.2.1 and even LiquidSmooth 3.2 and 3.1
WIthout the kernel its battery friendly which i like, its speedy and reliable but its not fully customized and or the camera happens to be making my face look squeezed in but with another rom its fine.
WIth a kernel its improved with bootup and performance but battery life does drain a bit faster with KT camera is still making my face squeezed.

with the built in kernel i cant change.....it happens to turn off my wifi frequent on its own sometimes and i dont like that its kinda fast but it does drain a bit faster..
--with wicked S5 experience
its the same as wicked x8.2 sorta, the wifi turns off completely and i would i have to restart my whole phone to get it back up again.

its just the kernel thats the problem and random reboots and my face being squeezed on camera.

ovbiously the camera doesnt work and apps take a bit too install and load.
