Is anyone out there experienced that once upgrade to WM6 on your Dash. The last digit of the IMEI changed.
The last 2 digits dont matter.

It does matter because some software verify the phone's IMEI to complete the registration and once the IMEI changed, the registration code become invalid. Any suggestion?
Oh boya. Well in that case, you're ****ed possibly? Im not sure, that is a good question though. I dont pay for any software Hopefully someone here can help ya out
I believe the last 2 digits do not matter
It is the first 15 that are significant, I could be wrong
Only the first 15 digits are your valid imei #. The other two are something unique to the phone for some reason. If you have software that is licensed on a 17 digit imei #, I'd go back to the author and report it as a defect. If you paid for it, I'd demand they fix it.

Thanks for the input and I had downgrade back to WM5 because T-Zone Winwap is too new the system won't let me login.
For sure, when the official WM6 is available, I will contact the vendor to ask for a fix.
hi my HTC S621 showing wrong imei number
this is not the one at the back of the phone.
no sim is working in this phone.
please help...
you can try to updata you rom
You sure it's wrong as when you use *#06# there will be 2 less numbers on the end than when you look behind the battery.
My Samsung galaxy nexus running android hd revolution was stolen. Im planning to have it blocked by the authorities, I was wondering if the imei indicated in the box has changed since its no longer running the stock google jellybean.
IMEI numbers don't change.
roms dont alter imei numbers
But can you change the imei number?

You typically can't change the IMEI without special factory tools/software.

Just curious because this question has been raised a few times.
How many of you have your phone number listed as 'unknown' in settings and how many of you have your actual number? (without adding a mod or writing to the sim on a different phone)
e.g. You put your sim in the phone and it just showed up?
Mine is unknown, but doesn't really bother me as I know my number anyway...funnily enough my Nexus 5 did show it

Mine shows but my iPhone wrote it to the Sim card previously.
My number shows. Was a new SIM with this phone.

Hey Guys,
I had my phone sent back for repairs and when I got it back, I had an IMEI number of 0, when you enter the dialer and press *#06#.
This would have definitely not been the case before I had sent it off.
Any ideas why this would be?
Has the repairer done dodgy stuff?
Thanks
Kevin A.

A phone without IMEI will be hard to work on most carriers. If the phone works then it is something else.
Double check using the normal mode. Settings-> About phone -> Status -> IMEI information. If the information is there then the number using the dial code is not well flashed.
