i dunno. battery life seems to be quirky and then it will start to get better.
i would recommend calibrating (of course) and then use it for a couple weeks.

Just thought i would point out! it is now on the mugen website: http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...6200-korea-lg-nitro-hd-lg-spectrum-vs920.html
however it is only 1950 mAh, i was kinda hoping for a bit more of an extended..
Wow... i just realised that this is a different site from what you showed -_-.
I wonder if the dimensions are different for this battery. If it really does last longer but is the same size, that would be pretty awesome. I don't know if I'm ready to trust it since I've already bought a spare battery and charger from Korea.

The difference is actually 120mAh. The 1950mAh capacity is max our engineers were able to produce for this model without making the battery bigger.
We are going to make a big battery with an extended door for this phone in a near future. It would be in 3000 -4000 mah range.

XDA Members,
This is my first post, and the HTC Evo is my first true Android device (late, I know, but I tried the Cliq and... eh...)
We all know that the battery for the Evo isn't enough. I'm on eBay examining my options, and noticed that there are extended batteries sold in the US that all pretty much look the same.
Are there any particular sellers that you would recommend? I know what ultimately matters is the brand and what the label says but I figured that this forum chock full of experienced Android enthusiasts would have certain people they'd recommend for certain products.
If not eBay, I have a couple of cheaper batteries available on Amazon.
Thanks!
the best performing battery is the stock oem htc battery, unless you want to use an extended battery door and make the evo look like a whale. then get the official sprint extended battery, it's about 50 bux. I get about 30 hours on my stock battery thanks to the great kernels and roms on this forum.

Mugen seems like it keeps a lot of people happy. I'm stock though
I just got 2 Galilo with charger and they seem to be as good as the stock ones.
I went the cheap route for and extended battery and I got EXACTLY what I paid for, a CHEAP battery.....lol
Now i have to man up and take the loss on all the CHEAP accessories I brought for me and my wifes EVO and drop big $ on Seidio...
My advice do it right the 1st time....
What kernals and roms are u using to get 30 hours? I'm lucky if i get 8

How are you guys getting so many hours? I only get like 8 Hours on my heavy use and i bought a 3500mah extended battery wtf? I'm also using the net Netarchy sbc 3.2 more havs and mym rom with setcpu running profiles. What am I doing wrong? I even have juice defender running aswell.
well my guess is hes using Myn's Warm RLS5.
as for the kernel. probably found a kernel that helps with the battery life more than the performance.
There are a lot of batteries out now claiming to be OEM batteries for the Evo. They are red like the original. But saw somewhere that sellers were takeing the aftermarket black batteries and just making them red. Are there any ways to tell if it really is a OEM battery? Besides the obvious, buying it from sprint or htc. And if you know of a place to buy them on the cheap let me know plz. thx.
price
No clue what an oem battery costs. I'm using the chicitec from amazon 2 for 28.99. Good deal, better life. Will post my comarisons in that thread tonight.
I heard checking the back of the battery will tell you the mAh and reveal if the battery is real or a fake. Not too familiar with batteries but that's what I read. (lift up the sticker covering the battery)

How old are you? Really?
guess that how he did it
I bought a set of two batteries for $10 on ebay. They were 2000 ahm while the original htc battery are 1500ahm. the problem was that the ones I got were lithium ion. Make sure you get lithium polymer. It makes a HUGE diff. The twp together last but its a pain halting out the one fort the other. Not to mention changing them.

Go to sprint chat. Tell the rep nicely your battery life sucks. He or she has been instructed to handle your issue by giving you credit for a new battery. Go to Sprint store. Purchase extended battery or regular battery. Go home and back on chat. Tell the new rep you were told you would be credited. He or she will do it. Next month see it on your bill.
To ensure 100% oem get it from Sprint. Plus the method I mentioned is free

Might have to give that a run on my E3D, just cause I'd like another battery...
i see that there's a thread for the oem charger kit, but not for the battery itself. so anyway, i just called tmo tech support and told them that i have been having very inconsistent battery life. say today i unplugged after reaching 100%, then 6-7hrs later after waking up-i only have 69% left. it's been happening every other day now, and i purposely exit all active apps and clear the ram before unplugging, but still the same problem.
anyway, tmo is sending me a new battery for the sgs2 for free because i am still under the 90 battery warranty period. i do have to pay $11.99 for ups express shipping though, $7.99 for usps. AND i get to keep the current battery as well, so not bad for $11.99 and a new battery.
also, i'm on 2.3.6, rooted with some bloats removed/freezed, stock rom, with juice defender running, email sync is only at 4hrs. anybody have any idea on why my phone is acting like this? i know i'm not the only one with the problem, but any tips or comments are welcome. TIA.
i've checked tmo's website, but couldn't find the battery for sale, so this is fyi only.
Tmo does this when you call about the battery for just about every phone they sell. They're pretty good about sending of replacements.

The battery works just fine. Not a single problem and it lasts just about the same as the OEM battery if not better (maybe I’m just a lucky one) I have absolutely no issue with it beside it being labeled aftermarket I alternate it daily with my OEM to help prolong both.
IMHO, everyone should have at least one spare/backup battery for his/her phone.
I called them several times and none of the reps was willing to give me a free battery.
I told them about bad/inconsistent battery life. They told me I needed to call from a separate phone so they check my battery or something on my phone. They also said there would be a $20 service fee even if im under my 90 warranty period...
They also told me to just go back to the store and get a replacement phone...but no car so that's a no go.
So what EXACTLY do you guys say to get the free battery?! or did they just change the rules on that.

If you're within the 14 day period they will make you exchange the device. If you call asking for a "free" anything they're gonna deny you.
#1 always say you're calling from a different phone, even if you're not.
#2 always be courteous, appear to be calm yet bothered.
#3 keep reiterating how "unacceptable" the battery life is.
#4 anything posted here like this thread is YMMV and may not always work for every call for every caller.

You won't get denied. It depends on the reason. If it's past the 14 days and it's a legitimate battery issue... you "kind of" get a free battery... Above post stating USPS and UPS is what you will be responsible for. The correct thing to do is they will have to at least on a minimum do a full reset. If it's still having the issue go back and they can more than likely just put the battery order through for you. Some reps may even do the battery as the first step. Depends on who you get.

You could get away with it. They may ask you to do a hard reset. I recommend taking the time and just visiting the store. Store reps are easier to deal with.

This can be read like a book. Being polite will get you further. Stay calm. It's not Care or the Reps fault you may have received a faulty battery. I'm sure most of "us" as in Smart Phone users know that battery life was never that great. The more you use it the faster it dies. You "know" what you got yourself into. Don't yell at them because the phone doesn't have the battery life of a Samsung T139.

This really gets annoying. See above. You know what you got yourself into. If you are legitimately having issues... yes. It is unacceptable... But just because you want a spare. You may be caught and denied. The reps are here to keep you as a customer and keep you satisfied. Don't try to be deceiving... it's counter productive.

It really depends on who you talk to and how knowledgeable they are. It's not some mathematical system that you keep repeating the word unacceptable and appear to be bothered that you get a battery.
So there is no right way. The best thing is just be honest. It's really if you need it or not and who you talk to.
After 14 days... if you are having issues, just go to the store. Bad battery? Just let the rep know. They should be able to figure it out. You'll be responsible for shipping.
Thanks for the protips.
I agree with chrischoi (weren't you on the amaze?)
The best way is to be friendly, every rep has to go through a protocol to troubleshoot the device, after checking off what needs to be done, they are then allowed to offer what can be done. But during all the wait, it doesn't hurt to be energetic and make small talk. Imagine this is their job and they have to deal with assholes all day, so it would be nice if you are nice to them. They are more than willing to send you replacement accessories, if you put them in a good mood.
1. You can say you spoke to a rep and they told you that accessories are under warranty, and you can just ask how does that work? "Do i send back my old battery etc"
2. Try to direct it more as a battery problem not a phone problem.
"i tested my phone with my sister/friends battery and hers definitely last longer, whereas my battery dies quickly in her phone."
3. Might as well request for a charger.
"could it be my charger, or cable? Do you think it might have fried the battery by being faulty? Am i able to replace that also?" "i heard having a bad charger will eventually kill the phone"
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
So last week on Monday morning i cracked my HTC Sensation screen while
getting out from my car as it was on my lap and i completely forgot about it.
I have done this before and not a single scratch, but this time i guess it just
fell at the wrong spot. What ever all good, that's why i have insurance right?
So i go and file a claim with Asurion for them to just tell me that there is no
available Sensation phones and that they can just replace it with the SG2.
Sure why not i said, might as well get a new different phone to play around
with. So they shipped it out on Monday telling me that by Tuesday it should
be there... Nope came on Wednesday.(Most likely Fedex problem...). So like
a little child i'm all excited and start ripping apart the box to get my phone .
I open it up and start looking at all the peaces and realize right off the bat
that their is no freaking battery. How the hell am i supposed to turn this thing
on with no battery. Even tried to just put in the usb charger but it just vibrates.
(probably meaning that there is no freaking battery). So i'm completely pissed
of at this point and am about to start raging. I call up Asurion customer service
to tell them what happened. (One thing is, Asurion got some really nice
customer service people right in america i mean it was just like talking to
a friend and they where really nice and just flat out nice lol. All 6 people that i
called!. VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!) So they tell me that i can go into
my local store and just buy a battery and they will refund me $39.99. So i hang
up and goto the store to find out they are selling that battery for 49.99. So i
call Asurion back again to tell them this and they said they will ONLY be able to
refund me $39.99 and what ever else is upto me. I tell them forget it and ship
me a new battery. The lady tells me that they don't ship battery's by fedex
but by regular mail, and that i wont get my battery until 5-7 days... So i was
kind of pissed and ended up speaking to a super visor and apparently his super
visor and nothing can be done about this. What ever i said just freaking send
it and get this over with. SO figure it like this. They say 5-7 business days for
the package to arrive by regular mail. Regular mail has a 6 day business work
week Monday-Saturday. Today is now Thursday so that would mean that this
was the last day that it should have came on. To my surprise i get home a few
hours ago and there is no freaking battery in the mailbox.... GRRRRR
Back to calling Asurion. Again i tell them the problem and again they tell me that
they will send me another battery by regular mail. Now i wasn't having any of
this. I have 14 days to return my old phone. Now i am on day 8 of this 14 day
return policy. What the hell am i going to do? They told me they can contact
t-mobile and tell them the problem and not to expect the package for 30 days.
I told them NO because i cant even use the damn phone so it doesn't matter.
( I was ling cause i'm using it right now lol). I started screaming at this poor
lady and then just asked for a super visor again. After about 20minutes of being
on hold 4 times, she comes back on the line and says that they have come to
a solution.
The solution:
They are going to send me a package with a new phone WITH BATTERY and
send it via fedex so i can get it tomorrow. They have a very strict policy
on shipping anything other then phones via fedex express.
I just now have to send back 2 phones...
This is what i have been going thru for the past 8 days..
I hope it comes in tomorrow with a battery and i also hope that the battery that
they sent in via regular mail also come sin so that i can now have a spare battery.
So that is my Asurion ordeal for the past week and a half.
Fun times ehh.
Wow! Hope it all comes together for ya from here on out
Yea, thanks a lot. I really hope it comes in tomorrow with everything functioning and intact.
they are sapose to send a new phone in sealed box when replacing your phone with a different phone. Thats weird they would do that either somebody messed up or they have some bull$**T new policies. I don't know seems like T-mobile and what not was real cool when they were about to merge but now they got real greedy.

Yep, same thing Asurion and T-mobile told me. They are both different company's that don't have to much to do with each other other then insurance. When i send back the phone's they get sent to T-mobile and not Asurion. At least that's what Asurion told me. Also i didn't get it in a sealed box. It was sent in some cheap ass regular white box.. Meh
If u need a battery real fast you can go to your local Verizon store now and get the Samsung 2100mah Galaxy Nexus Extended battery for 24.99 (currently 50% off 49.99). I just bought mine yesterday and it fits perfectly. Our stock battery is 1850mah. Call before you go because some stores are sold out.

Thanks for the tip. I love my Sensation but the battery life is just HORRIBLE. I mean it was so bad that only making a few phone calls and checking xda for 30minutes tops during work, i'd be at like 15-10% by 5pm after a full work day. Hope the sg2 handles battery life much better.
They send me vibrant with no memory card in it ; result there was no avatar movie. Which pissed me alot.

You'll find the Sensation forums a damn Godsend compared to the Galaxy S2. Unbelievable support and really nice people there. But phone is better than Sensation that's for sure. You'll love it. Good luck

Sadly, After having had my GSII past the 14 day return window, I'm kinda wanting my Sensation back. The T989's only advantage is the 16GB onboard memory and 256MB more RAM.
Factor in that Sensation has several ICS ROMs and we have none and there are non on the horizon, I'd rather go with the Sensation, even though I had a ton of issues with my 4 that i went through. The T989 just doesn't impress me enough to justify the cost over upgrading from the Sensation. The only thing keeping me from selling the GSII and getting another Sensation is the crap luck i had with them.
You could of just got the galaxy nexus extended battery for 25.99+tax from the Verizon store.

So I got my brand new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus from T-Mobile about 2 and a half days ago now. On the beginning of the second day I woke up to notice (With the phone sitting on my nightstand charging like any other phone I've had) that the phone was very very hot to the touch. Upon further inspection after I unplugged it I noticed (To my horror! 0.0) There is now a giant running crack along the left side of the phone. Being in a case from day 1 and NEVER being dropped, this is most definitely NOT accidental damage by any means. (At least in my opinion ). Since the incident I've contacted Samsung and they've provided me with a shipping label to have them take a look at the device. Was really hoping for this to be my best phone yet (Since the Note 4 ). Let's all hope Samsung pulls through and helps me out in this situation! I'll post pictures below and keep you guys updated on what's happening as far as the phone goes! :highfive:

UPDATE!!!: THEY FIXED IT, LOL I UPDATED THE FRONT THREAD TO SAVE YOU FROM SCROLLING
Hmmmm.....this is OP first ever post
It is certainly possible that the battery swelled like the nexus 6 batteries did. The pressure could have cracked the glass but it is likely that samsung would deny that claim. I would document everything and even charge it up again and record the temperature of the phone when it's over heating. Try to remember we all had one post once. I discovered XDA when I was having problems with my LG thrill.

More often than not, these first time posters will start a thread like this spreading FUD and drop out leaving everyone in a panic. Somehow those threads become a warzone. ? I'm not saying that is the case here though.
(Not the case here + Update on Phone)
(Whoever just said that this was to cause hype, it's not. It actually legit happened here).
UPDATE
I'm so pissed right now. Samsung called me back and gave me the runaround that this was accidental damage! :crying: . They've really pissed me off. This was not accidental damage and now they want to send it back to me. Going to try to contact their repair center on Monday and appeal this case but other than that I need other options!
If anyone else has any ideas on what to do please let me know!

Yeah, this one reason of self-destructing curved glasses keeps me away too.
Samsung is being inundated with complains from customers of their Edge self-destructing.
I just hate it. HATE IT!
Help

Good Idea But I feel like I don't have enough followers etc. So if I give you my twitter please "retweet it" Lmao, Matt_My3rs.
It'll be an $175 deductible for T-Mobile insurance.
Will try!
