Hi guys,
I've unlocked the carrier of my Galaxy Nexus, now i don't know if my phone will be again carrier locked if i unlock bootloader root and install custom roms... Or pass from yajkuxw to yajku ( to get official updates from google)??
Thanks in advanced!!!
Shouldn't be - simm lock / unlock is independent of the phone OS.
If it does re lock it just use the same code and you'll be fine.

will i need to unlock the bootloader if i want to root it / install custom ROM?
i am under the impression that this phone comes unlocked anyway - ie free of bloatware

Look in the development section of the forum. Qhat you need to unlock/root was posted there.

Hi Guys,
I have an Australian Vodafone Galaxy Nexus that came with the bootloader unlocked when I bought it. I am on version yakjudv. Is it possible for me to change to the official version yakju, without losing data from my phone as my bootloader happens to be already unlocked? If so, which method would be the easier to do so?
Thank you!

No. You will have to flash a whole new ROM and it will wipe everything.

i am from Singapore and i just got a note 2 i don't understand something
-in Singapore are carriers suppose to unlock their network and it is a must?
-and if it is unlocked do i just have to type in "fastboot oem unlock" and the boot loader will be unlocked?
-or do i just have to root my phone ?
-or if your carrier is already unlocked, it is as if your boot loader is also unlocked
By the way I am using the lte version.
if there is a need to unlock boot loader and my method is wrong ,can someone give me a tutorial,a youtube video or a step by step guide thank you,
In singapore if its local set it is unlocked by legislation. Therefor its not needed to unlock any carrier. What are u trying to do with it anyway that u need an unlocked bootloader unlike htc phones. Yur trying to change radios?

Unlocking the bootloader and rooting are completely different from carrier locking/unlocking

Hi so I recently unlocked my T-Mobile edge with the app "Device Unlock" from T-Mobile. I now use AT&T and I want to root/add roms to my phone. If I do all those, will the unlock go away?
Nope. You'll maintain root unless you mess with the efs partition

I assume your referring to the sim unlock and not root. Once you permanently unlock the sim lock with the unlock app it will stay unlocked no matter what rom you install.
