Hi Guys,
I have an Australian Vodafone Galaxy Nexus that came with the bootloader unlocked when I bought it. I am on version yakjudv. Is it possible for me to change to the official version yakju, without losing data from my phone as my bootloader happens to be already unlocked? If so, which method would be the easier to do so?
Thank you!

No. You will have to flash a whole new ROM and it will wipe everything.

Hi guys,
I've unlocked the carrier of my Galaxy Nexus, now i don't know if my phone will be again carrier locked if i unlock bootloader root and install custom roms... Or pass from yajkuxw to yajku ( to get official updates from google)??
Thanks in advanced!!!
Shouldn't be - simm lock / unlock is independent of the phone OS.
If it does re lock it just use the same code and you'll be fine.

Hello all,
I just got my new Galaxy Nexus and i want to root my phone.
I saw the CF-Root v5.1 and wanted to try it.
But now would like to know 2 things.
1. How can i see if my phone is OEM Unlocked
and
2. Do i need the GSM or the LTE version.
i guess it has to do with my provider so
my provider:KPN
country: the Netherlands
I just configured my whole phone and don't really like to reinstall it again
Thanks in advance,

1. If the bootloader is unlocked there will be a picture of an open lock under the Google logo when you boot up. But, if you didn't unlock it in fastboot, it will be locked. Rooting doesn't unlock it.
2. GSM
Be aware that unlocking your boot loader will completely wipe your phones memory. Your current setup will be lost

Tanks everyone.
I sorted it all out and now got it up and running
First i had a little problem with the drivers, but i found and installed the bare naked drivers beta 0.5 (somewhere on xda) and it worked!
THANKYOUU!!!!

How can I debrand my LG G4?
where can I find the original no brand firmware for uk?
and how to flash it?
if someone can help, I really aprreciate.
Can I use something like this on a T-Mobile version?
You'll have to wait for the bootloader to get unlocked. Each phone will only allow your carrier-specific firmware to be flashed with the locked bootloader, which is why only the international version has root for now.

I have the H815 version, so I think it is possible to unlock the bootloader, right?
But then where can I find the firmwares? for Samsung is very easy because there is the samfirmware, but for LG?
Where to find a guide to do it?
thanks
Nobody can help?
Carrier versions can not be unlocked at the moment
I'm so sad to have taken this phone and not the s6......
marko68, the G4 only came out last week in the UK unfortunately you'll have to wait a few weeks because features you request start to appear. The S6 has been out quite a bit longer.
Yep a bit of patience is all that's required
