Perhaps there is a super secret partition on all the 16's sold? Or someone needs to go on double secret probation for the cruel screw up.

don't dream man we are on earth.

Ye they took out the radio shielding on the volume buttons so they could secretly shove a 16GB flash memory in lol.

I was hoping this means that the Verizon version will truly be 32GB until I seen it listed for the UK version also. I've also seen were the 32GB GSM version is coming also, on the Handtec site. I don't understand why they just didn't leave it 16/32GB for both versions like it was listed initially, that seemed the most accurate.

Verizon is definitely getting the 32GB model, with no 16GB option at all most likely.
32GB GSM is unlikely but entirely possible.
Whoever is updating the Tech Specs is just trolling XDA =D

So what does this mean? We can take our 16's back and trade for a 32GB?
Surely they must be a law against this as its sooooo cruel.

The Play Store always had just 16GB.
Indeed, GSM version is 16GB.
I like to think Verizon did some positive lobbying for once and did us all a favor, who knows.

That's assuming they have a heart, and aren't agents of Satan.
I suspect the latter.
The GSM model has always been 16GB. There was a rumored 32GB model that was never sold.
And why on God's green earth would you buy a Galaxy Nexus tonight, when it wouldn't even ship till Monday, the day that Google releases the next Nexus device? Why wouldn't you wait for that? rofl.
Also, a Nexus won't ever have an SDcard, so get over it. Just not going to happen. If more storage and an SDcard are that important to you, there are plenty of other great devices available that can offer that to you.

True. Possibly he was confused thinking he could buy a Verizon device from the Play Store in the first place. The 32GB Verizon GNex is certainly still available from numerous retailers, he can buy one there.

No reason to buy S3 anymore with the Nexus 4 out.

S3 = $650
Nexus 4 = $300
I've read a bunch of comparisons but there is one major one that is always overlooked. Is the S3 a better phone? Yes. Is it's $350+ better? Definitely not.

so i think if this is where you stand wouldn't it be more appropriate to post this in the Nexus 4 forums? yep. i think so. Either way. I think you need to remind yourself that you are talking about about a company (LG) with a piss poor history of producing some of the worst devices around.

Oh the reason I posted this here is because I have an S3 and will so for probably 3 years. This is where I'll be. You do bring up a great point. Not a fan of LG at ALL.
But the specs to me are mind blowing at the price point. If they had LTE for $50 more there'd be no reason to buy any other phone.

Yeah. Its lacking quite a few things for me.
1.) No external SD card slot.
2.) LTE
3.) A reputation for building quality products.
4.) Yes its quad-core but it won't be able to fully utilized them to their full potential.
5.) The list goes on.

I couldn't agree more. LTE is a must. Although here is Ontario LTE is only in the city, it is going to keep expanding and eventually be coast to coast. No clue why Google of all companies left that out. Its bad enough not having expandable memory.

[Q] 16gb and 32gb version GS3 have different supported frequency?

I was comparing the 16gb gs3 and the 32gb gs3 on the tmobile website, and in the supported frequency section they are almost identical except that the 32 gb version lists that it also supports a 900mhz frequency in addition to all the other frequencies that they both support. Does anyone know what this is all about and how it will benefit or not benefit me. I tried calling tmobile and the person i was talking to me said that the 32gb option will not get 4g over seas because it has the 900mhz frequncy, but the 16gb will get 4g over seas because it does not have the 900mhz frequency. This answer does not make sense to me. She said because it has more memory it needs to have the 900mhz. That doesnt make sense right? Can someone please explain. Thanks so much.
Im betting its a typo. Other than storage, they should be identical.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it's a typo being that tmobile is aware of this situation. I just cant seem to find a representative that understands what this means.

I didn't think of it until later yesterday but I called Samsung and they told me that there is no difference between the two except that they are different gigabytes. I'm thinking it's a scam on T Mobile's part to try to get people to buy a 32 gigabyte model by listing an extra frequency that it's capable of , though that's not the case. Im assuming they figured that most will buy the lower gig model and add an sd card instead , I don't know.
Just as a side note, I went to a corporate T-Mobile store yesterday to buy another gs3 outright for my girl and the guy refused and said its policy and he cant sell without a contract. I was like wtf? I called headquarters and they said that they are totally allowed to sell outright. Either he didn't get the memo or he was just being a douche because I was getting service somewhere else lol. Well anyway, I went to another corporate store and it was no problem. So now we are both rocking the gs3s.......effff apple lmao. Now I have to figure out when im typing in fields like this one right now, when I move the cursor to fix a typo, the screen jumps around not letting me see where i want to type, does anyone else have this issue? Thanks guys.

[Q] TMobile 32GB Galaxy S4

After visiting the local T-mobile store here in Miami, I was told that a 32GB version of the S4 could be ordered over the phone. My question is, does anyone know if this presumed 32 Gb version (which I've been told is not available in stores) can be flashed with all the ROMs that the 16 GB version has available in this forum, or will the fact that the storage capacity is different change the partition sizes and therefore make such flashing imposible/hard due to a possible bricking? Will the phone version also be different or will it still be an SGH-M919 (just with more capacity)? I think you probably can flash ROMS for the SGH-M919, but what do you guys know or think of this? I'm considering buying an S4 and would like the extra storage but I also love to try new ROMS and flash new things. Comments are appreciated.

I could be mistaken, in fact I hope I am, but I think you got some false information. My buddy works at T-Mobile and I haven't heard anything about a 32GB S4 since the phone was announced. It was supposed to be 16, 32, and 64GB but they only released 16GB, and to make it worse there's only about 9 or less of that 16 available. It is still worth it, it's a great phone, especially since it has a microSD card slot, but it's frustrating having to find workarounds because of always running out of internal storage. I got used to it though, and it added another 50GB to my dropbox.
Tmobile has no 32 GB model. My roomate works there. Not to mention you can easily go online and find that information out yourself. it's not that difficult

Of course this was only 1 call rep, but I believe the 1 call rep and the countless truck loads of information available online.
Rather than ask what you can do with the 32gb model, I would've called first as the stores suggested to you rather than ask about a mythical device that would piss everyone off who adopted early.

To this guy's credit, we were in the middle of filling out the form for me to purchase the 16G version, since I had given up on the 32G version and my current phone has been crapping out at a surprisingly bad rate. And he gave me his card to call back to see if the 32G version was in today or not. I think he was just trying to be more helpful rather than a purposefully misleading slimeball. [Q] Brightspot Samsung GS-3 on T-Mobile network

Brightspot just launched a couple of days ago, and I see a good price for S3 off-contract - the full name of this phone is "Brightspot Samsung Galaxy SIII Cell Phone - White (T999L)". I'm thinking about buying this device and use it with my T-Mobile sim, but was curious to find out if anyone did the same thing and was successful? Do I have to unlock it... would the data work with my T-Mobile sim...? The reps at Target don't seem to know, or they are not willing to tell me the truth

If it's a t999l it should work straight out the box. If not just unlock
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
It's just a guess, but if it's a T999L, it should be identical to T-Mobile's in every way, including its firmware. Anytime a carrier wants different firmware, they usually give it a different model number.
For example, Metro PCS has the T999N. It is a T999L, only the firmware is different, and doesn't have T-Mobile apps/bloat, but this got it its own model number.
Basically I'm saying it should work with T-Mobile's SIM with nothing done. But, like I said, I am guessing here. If you do need to unlock there are online services as little as $5 out there.
Do you have a link to where you saw it? How much were they asking?

Those are both deal breakers for me. It's just another way the manufacturers can try to dictate how you use hardware you purchased. And to ensure you'll be back to spend more money when the battery dies or you run out of storage.
Anyway, those were both at the top of my list when deciding if I should ditch HTC for this S3.
Sorry for OT, just thought I'd throw that out there!

It is nice to have expandable storage and the option to change batteries. I had the option of the S3 or nexus 4, its obvious which phone I chose. The back of the nexus 4 being glass (fragile glass) was the deal breaker.
The S3 is nice and I've learned quite a few things since I've had it and its a tough phone, I've dropped it a few times and it doesn't have a single mark on it (guess I'm somewhat lucky).
Op if you decide to go with the S3, backup the imei before you start flashing ROMs. There's a few methods on how to do it, you should be able to find them easily.
