The Play Store always had just 16GB.

Indeed, GSM version is 16GB.
I like to think Verizon did some positive lobbying for once and did us all a favor, who knows.

That's assuming they have a heart, and aren't agents of Satan.
I suspect the latter.

The GSM model has always been 16GB. There was a rumored 32GB model that was never sold.
And why on God's green earth would you buy a Galaxy Nexus tonight, when it wouldn't even ship till Monday, the day that Google releases the next Nexus device? Why wouldn't you wait for that? rofl.
Also, a Nexus won't ever have an SDcard, so get over it. Just not going to happen. If more storage and an SDcard are that important to you, there are plenty of other great devices available that can offer that to you.

True. Possibly he was confused thinking he could buy a Verizon device from the Play Store in the first place. The 32GB Verizon GNex is certainly still available from numerous retailers, he can buy one there.

Well the Nexus 4 has induction coils built-in, so it's definitely going that way.

There are all sorts of info ou there, saying different things as to the release date of the Galaxy Nexus (Nexus Prime woulda been better!) on T-Mobile's Networks, I haven't had the time to research it as much as I'm sure some of you have, can someone confirm a date for Nexus Prime date on T-Mobile?
I'm hoping before Black Friday, so I can get it on Black Friday at Best BUy

No one knows. Thats why theres like 10000 threads about it.
When it comes down to it you can always import and use ur T-mo SIM. If I had to bet I'd say you could buy it unlocked in the USA soon enough as well. Doubt T-mo will pick it up subsidized but we'll see.

Doubts Verizon will see this before T-Mobile? Was that seriously just uttered? T-Mobile hasn't even announced this phone on their network, much less thought about a release date for it. Yes, it's on Samsung's site as it being available for T-Mobile, but at least Verizon has announced officially that it will have the phone and before the end of the year. T-Mobile ... not so much.

You can't really blame the price on Samsung. It seems high because the US dollar has lost so much in value. The actual cost in other currencies is basically the same as previous Nexus phones when you factor in VAT.
I think the GSM/HSPA version will be sold unlocked at launch in the US too. It is a phone for developers so they will want to make sure developers can get it.
OT: greatest thing about google+, I can easily mute thread that aren't useful (like my post).

Accidentally bought CDMA instead of GSM...

Yes I'm an idiot, I know. I bought it off eBay and realized too late.Question is, can I pay a lab to mod it for me or something? It's a Verizon. I heard it has a microSIM slot that's almost sealed shut but still existing. So it would probably just require reprogramming the frequencies. And I'll handle unscrewing the slot and inserting my SIM. Is this possible?

Cheapest way to upgrade before being eligible for upgrade?

Hi, just wondering if there are any loopholes that have worked for anyone in the past.
I'm really interested in either the Nexus 4 or Note 2. I love the S2 but I dont have an upgrade until Jan 2014 and these new phones are just so intriguing. I definitely don't want to pay a non contract price for these phones, but was hoping to sell my S2 and use it to buy a new phone at hopefully a good price.
Any advice?
not sure of any loop holes. most companys make sure there are none.
i say sell the s2 and get the n4. with the price being so low its worth it.
I looked up on the sprint buyback program and they'll give you $85 for the e4gt.
Well I have three phones mine wife and daughter wife never likes upgrading so I get her upgrades with mine not cheap but it works

Any advice?

When I got my gs2 back in April I wasn't up for my upgrade till mid may. Anyway I brought it to a 3rd party sprint store and told me we could pretend it had water dmg and in that case sprint cuts you a few weeks slack and forks over the upgrade as its cheaper for them then asurian claims sending a new phone....at least that's what my rep said to me... he's a nice guy

Ask the Sprint store about a "push through".

That's at the moment. Look at the Gnex. It was released GSM first then Verizon got it, and then Sprint. I don't think Google is that dumb to cut Verizon from getting the Nexus and Sprint has gotten the other Nexus devices aside from the Nexus One.

I'm not sure there will be one, perhaps just maybe but I highly doubt it as google was left with a bad taste with their experience with Verizon and Sprint.

I love the hardware of my epic touch but I know we can do better in regards of software. Jb leak is proof of that and what is likely to come. However I am getting tired of running gb. Having a nexus 7 tablet doesn't help my case when i get constant updates as soon as good drops new source. I am hoping I can hold out for the jb update or even a newer leak. But if not I would love to find a way to get a sg3 for cheap. And I don't really want to add another line.

I used to always buy my phones out of contract, I would ebay my phone, get paid apply that $ towards my new phone and ship the old one out. I would usually ship the next day so I wasn't holding up my buyer.
These days I just buy from Craigslist. Picked this phone up for 240 around mid summer, I think.

I agree with this, I bought my sgs2 in June for $220 off contract (used). It came in great shape and working perfectly. I'm thinking I'll keep buying phones this way - just wait for them to be ~9 months old and you can get them for the upgrade price. This way if a new phone drops that I just have to have I'm always ready with the upgrade. Also if I somehow kill my current phone I don't have to worry about carrying insurance, just use my upgrade on whatever's out.
The only thing better is direct from Google pricing, which I may switch to but I will loose some coverage in my state by leaving CDMA so I haven't decided on that yet.

On Black Friday you can purchase the SIII for $50. You could definitely buy that, sell it along with the S2 and buy a note.

Wait. $50 out of contact?
or let more rephrase. I wouldn't get the $50 price because I'm not eligible for upgrade until 1/14 right?

I've heard that people sold their current phones on Craigslist, used that money towards buying out the rest of their contract then upgrade.
Or sell on Craigslist and use that money towards buying one you want on Craigslist. Either would cost around the same

I wonder what happened to calling the retention center and threatening to leave the sg2 and the countless problems the ICS update I would think would be a great bartering chip to try and get retention to let you upgrade to the sg3 either cheap or for nothing.

Hah, I can assure you, after 20 phone calls, they don't give a **** about their customers.
I've had my account open with sprint since 1991.
There are 5 lines on the account.
They have made ~$50,000 from my family.
Yea, no, I will switch to anything better as soon as possible.
