I'm currently stuck on radio 3.35.20.10 and using custom ROMs such as CM I can't send things over bluetooth, so I am considering flashing a newer radio. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I understand of the bricking risks, but in my opinion it needs to be done.

It is a European phone.
The process is the same as installing a Custom ROM Zip. The only pre-requisite is that you have to use CWM 2.x as Radio zips are not Edify scripted.
Alternately, you can use Fastboot to flash the radio as well using the command fastboot flash radio <file-name>.img. The required radio files can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318 (Post 1, Point 4)
As long as you don't interrupt the process of flashing the radio, you should be fine.

Thanks, how do I know which is the newest radio?
The one you are having at the moment is the newest (ending with 20.10). However, for BT/GPS issues in CM or other AOSP ROMs, it is required that you reflash the radio, even if it is the same version as the one you already have.

Thank you very much, I shall go do that now.
But just out of curiosity, will I have to reflash the radio every time I flash a CyanogenMod version?
No, it works fine between versions. (But, if you perform a data wipe before installing a new version, then, you may have to reflash the radio)
Wi-fi problem with CM7-7.1.0.1-buzz
Hi ,I am having problem with Wi-fi.When I connect to a network it works fine for few minutes but after that stops working .While on phone N/w strength is shown :Excellent.
Same case with Market and Browser.
Forgot the network in wireless settings and scaned again.Still the same problem.
Is there any way to get around it ? Is there anything to do with CM7 settings or reflashing the radio is the only option ?
Sorry,i am a newbie here.First time rooted my device like 2 days ago so out of any idea.

Hi all,

CyanogenMod-7.1 for Wildfire :: (V7.1-RC1)
I flashed this ROM, HAD Wifi, but now I dont seem to have wifi anymore? I get to "Obtaining IP Address"
any assistance would be great since I'm pretty nooby at this still
flash the latest radio
Cheers! That worked. Wifi working now.

I flashing the Android 2.3.4 too, and I also flashing the NEW radio image, but my WIFI is still not stable than 2.2 ROM, and the GPS is can't work too.(there have the GPS icon, but can not locate successfully)
Any one have some suggestions? Thx in advance!
whoa whoa whoa, how did you flash radio? I have the same problem!!
Download the new Radio Image:
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Wildfire:_Support_Downloads
Android 2.3.4 should use 3.35.20.10
The flashing method is the same with flash ROM, put the Radio image into SD card root --> reboot wildfire --> enter ClockWorkMod --> select the Radio image.
then it will upgrade automatically, note that, in this process, the phone will reboot twice automatically, don't touch it!! let it finish by itself.
Dropping?
I have the same problem does it do this networkname obtaning ip adress -> disconnected -> obtaining ip adress ect ect

Hi all. I just rooted my Desire following the Noob Proof Everything Desire Guide found here on forum
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016084
I followed all the steps till step 7 - Flashing custom Rom. I want to install latest cyanogen mod 7.1 and in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957344) i see that it is required to update radio before installing cyanogen. I found a few threads explaining how to do it but it's with different methods. One is via recovery but since i did S-off with Alpharev /cache partition is too small to hold Radio flashes. I need someone who has done this kind of stuff to tell me how to proceed next and safely update radio (tutorials would be nice). Actually do i need new radio or will everything work fine. Ty all
My desire:
Android 2.2
Baseband 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27
Kernel 2.6.32.15-gf5a401c [email protected] #1
Build number 2.29.405.5 CL293415 release-keys
Software number 2.29.405.5
Bravo PVT3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT 0.93.0001
As far as I know you don't need to update your radio just yet. Any radio that starts with 5.XX should work with CM7. You have Baseband 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27 so I believe you'll do just fine without updating it.
You only mess with your radio when it's not working properly for the ROM you are using because if done incorrectly, it can brick your phone.
If there comes a point you really have to change radio due to performance issues, you can use Android Flasher tool or better yet do it manually in fastboot.
BTW are you really sure you can't flash the radio? What HBoot are you using right now? Does it say CM7r2?
Hey, i didn't update to Cyanogen just yet. I saw here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464 that cache file is too small to hold radio files needed for update via recovery
NOTE: If you have the Alpharev Oxygen or CM7 HBOOT then you will not be able to flash these files via recovery, quote from AlphaRev site below.
If you downloaded Bravo Data++, please notice the /cache partition is too small to hold Radio flashes from recovery. You can however flash the radio just fine with 'fastboot flash radio radio.img'. Just extract the radio.img from the radio update.zip beforehand.

I wasn't sure what that means exactly. So i should just be ok if i want to update it via recevery (zip file or iso?) ? My HBOOT version is 0.93.0001
If you are using Stock HBoot then you can still flash radios from recovery. Only when you change to CM7r2 HBoot will you have to flash radios via fastboot.

Not only CM7r2 hboot. Radio has to be flashed via fastboot with every hboot which has less than ~35 MB for cache.

Understandable, but your information was only the half of the truth. IMHO my (complete) information was not so confusing, wasn't it?
Yup! That's why you have my thanks!
Thx all, so i will try to update radio via fastboot hopefully there is a tutorial somewhere
It's not only for the radio, but it works the same way:
http://blogs4android.com/2011/06/ro...dio-recovery-and-bootloader-through-fastboot/
Be very careful what you are doing. If you are unsure, better wait than doing somehthing. Because if something goes wrong in radio flashing, your phone will be completely bricked and from now on nothing more than an expensive paperweight.
Thx, i will try cyanogen without radio update, if everything works fine i'll leave radio as it is
Hi. My friends asked me to bring a stock software to his Wildfire. Unfortunately I have a few problems I can't solve. Wildfire is on CM 7.2.0 RC1, Baseband version 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10, Kernel 2.6.35.14-nFinity [email protected] #1. I tried to install stock software using .exe file from this thread, but after verification it shows me USB connection error - phone is not connected.

Flash this file inside your recovery, it will give you a temporary 2.5 recovery which will allow you to flash the .zip file.

Hi,
I have a problem. I Installed CyanoMod a month ago (but it so slow and shutting down at random times) so I wanted to install a ligther rom (MildWild MW-9.5 Based on Redux2 TEST). But now he keeps just restarting over and over to the pincode screen
I did a full wipe (factory reset) with 4EXT (although I rooted my phone with Evolutionary)
Any ideas/fixes?

Also from your other thread it looks like your radio is out of date. Just to confirm can you go into the bootloader and post which radio you have.

Use fastboot to flash it then. Setup adb/fastboot, unzip the latest radio zip and then use "fastboot flash radio radio.img" while the phone is in fastboot mode.

Good morning everybody, I'm new in this forum, nice to meet you
I write because three months ago I tried rooting the phone and the screen went white. Thus I had to take it to fix. The experts installed Android 4.2.2 (June) on my HTC DesireHD.
It turns out that since they installed the cooked rom, the accelerometer doesn't work and none of the phone sensors . That is, before rooting, when I turned the phone to see a photo in landscape , the mobile spinning perfectly. And also playing the games the sensors worked perfectly . Now, after installing Android 4.2.2, the sensors does not work anymore. It must be a software problem.
Do you know what happens or how to fix it if there is a known solution? Maybe there are missing drivers on my Android 4.2.2 phone?

New radio? What do you mean? Please, specify a little bit more. :good:
How can I install JellyTIme R11?
Thank you so much
First you must download JellyTime R11 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 and GAPPS for 4.2 builds (20130301). When you downloaded R11 put it on your sd card and then turn off your phone. Hold volume button down and turn on phone. Chose recovery with your volume button you navigate and with power button you confirm your choice. In recovery you must wipe data/factory, wipe Cache, wipe Dalvik Cache. When you done chose install from sd card and select to install R11 when its done install GAPPS. After that you rebot your phone and you wait 3-5 for first time to boot. I hope that you can understand. Sorry for my english. Good luck mate!
Wait, did you unlock your bootloader or S-Off it? If you unlocked it you can't flash radios. And it doesn't sound like a radio problem anyway. What ROM did you flash? You could also just flash a working ROM. How to do that depends on whether you unlocked your bootloader.

Your device have s-on, so u cannot flash radio.. Try to flash stable rom first like arhd or rooted stock rom from development thread. If the accelerometer still does not work, it is probably hardware issues..

there were similar issues like this reported. Flash stock rooted ROM (available somewhere in the forum)
Set it up, and after setup, flash the ROM of your choice.
It was documented with 4.2.2 releases that this is the fix for accelerometers
