[Q] SU Binary Update dont Sucess

Hello Folks,
i have a problem with my Wildfire (was Branded with T-Mobile DE)
I have downloaded the Update for Superuser and now it always say that my SU Binary is too old. But if i want to update it, it get an error at the point to get the /System write rights.
How do i get it work?
Here are some informations from the Bootloader of my Phone:
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.80.0002
MICROP-0622
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO.3.35.20.10

The currently installed ROM is CM7 Nightly 199
and the CWM Version is 2.5.0.1

From what I could tell, the S-ON seems to be the problem.

and how do i make it s-off?
cause my h-boot is 0.80.0002 and Alpharev X only works with 1.00.0001

From i know you need to update to official 2.2 with a RUU and then s-off.

I tryed it, to install the RUU with the Hboot 1.00.0001 but it always give me an error that its not the right UserID. With no chance -.- ... is there any possibility to Update the Hboot over CWM? Maybe installable from a Zip file?

Hi, can't remember exactly my method but try to explain best I can.
I flashed safe not rooted rom from 3xeno's sticky page. Then I downloaded on PC the ruu. Exe and this is the part o can't remember but I got the rom image from the exe and turned it into a pc49 img then placed on SD root and rebooted into hboot? ( Power + vol down ). It did its magic then I just used revolutionary to s-off and did clean install of cm7 to replace revs su. Hope this makes sense!!! And is of help.

To update the su, just flash the signed zip from here: http://androidsu.com/superuser/

With a RUU, you must be in Android. (so not fastboot or anything else).
Then, if it works.
You open Revolutionary (you found it on revolutionary.io) in admin mode. And then it's okay

How do you upgrade radio?

I'm currently stuck on radio 3.35.20.10 and using custom ROMs such as CM I can't send things over bluetooth, so I am considering flashing a newer radio. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I understand of the bricking risks, but in my opinion it needs to be done.
Heres my HBOOT information:

It is a European phone.

The process is the same as installing a Custom ROM Zip. The only pre-requisite is that you have to use CWM 2.x as Radio zips are not Edify scripted.
Alternately, you can use Fastboot to flash the radio as well using the command fastboot flash radio <file-name>.img. The required radio files can be found here:

As long as you don't interrupt the process of flashing the radio, you should be fine.

Thanks, how do I know which is the newest radio?

The one you are having at the moment is the newest (ending with 20.10). However, for BT/GPS issues in CM or other AOSP ROMs, it is required that you reflash the radio, even if it is the same version as the one you already have.

But just out of curiosity, will I have to reflash the radio every time I flash a CyanogenMod version?

No, it works fine between versions. (But, if you perform a data wipe before installing a new version, then, you may have to reflash the radio)

Wi-fi problem with CM7-7.1.0.1-buzz
Hi ,I am having problem with Wi-fi.When I connect to a network it works fine for few minutes but after that stops working .While on phone N/w strength is shown :Excellent.
Same case with Market and Browser.
Forgot the network in wireless settings and scaned again.Still the same problem.
Is there any way to get around it ? Is there anything to do with CM7 settings or reflashing the radio is the only option ?

wifi sleep policy is already set to “never” sleep. still have the problem.

Reflash radio...cm has this problem mine was solved by reflashing it...

Do I need to use CWM 2.x ? If yes, how ? In ROM manager under “More Recoveries” >>Flash Alternate Recovery >>it says “No alternate recovery available”
When I click on “All CWM Recoveries”,it says “No legacy recoveries found”.

reflashing of RADIO didn't help

[Q] Installing Froyo ROMs after Gingerbread was installed

Hi everyone,
I read a few "downgrade to Froyo from Gingerbread" threads, but I did not seem to find an answer to my question.
I have a Desire GSM.
What I did:
1. I rooted my phone with your help, using Revolutionary
2. I backed up my official Froyo ROM that I had rooted
3. I installed a developer Gingerbread ROM from this site
4. I wanted to install a developer Froyo ROM from this site
5. This did not work as I got an error during install:
"Installing update...
Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.
Installation aborted."
6. So I restored my own old factory Froyo ROM that I had rooted, which works fine
7. However, I still don't seem to be able to install any other Froyo ROMS because I get the same error as described under point 5.
Some information about my phone
In HBOOT:

How can I install other Froyo ROMs?

Your recovery is too new. Flash a recovery which uses the older update script (e.g. 4EXT or RMD).

Problem is each time when I'm trying to update it giving error.

I've tried direct OTA update from that cell phone but its checking n cheking the update info but not giving updates.
I've also tried to update the OTA On CWM 4.0.1.4 but its giving error (Status 7)
When I'm trying to flash a coustom rom CWM showing ""Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported. Amend scripting was deprecated by google in android 1.5. but .zip apps are installing n working to it!!!!

Install CWM 2.5.0.7 and try again.

id try installing cwm 5.0.0.2 as i have never had problems with this recovery
if it doesnt work try re rooting ur phone then do it agen as the root may not be up to date

The clue is in the error message, amend scripting is not supported above cwm 3. The zip file contains an old script to tell it what to do.

With what I can see, it seems you are S-OFF... If true, then great. Download an RUU (.exe not .zip) and flash via FastBoot. To get Root back use SimpleOneClick (Easy as just one click)... To have your Recovery v4.0... Download and Flash via FastBoot... Easy!

Does "SimpleOneClick" work for HTC Wildfire that has S-Off ?I doubt that.
If not,Unlock Root is another option.

Yes it does... That is what I use... But it doesn't work on Eclair anyways (Or maybe because I'm S-OFFed... Hmmm)... Anyways, it works on me Wildy. Cheers.

Please advise - Sprint M8 help - Crazy Dilemma

Here is my stressful problem. I have an HTC One M8 with Sprint. I have successfully rooted this device, have philz recovery working, and have working versions of Cyanogenmod Lollipop and also BadSeed Tranquil 4.4.2 Kitkat ROM's installed and functional. Unfortunately, each of these ROM's have some minor issues and don't work 100% properly. So my goal here was to switch to either a different Sense-based ROM, a rooted stock ROM, or flash back to 100% stock and start over. It seems though that AndroidRevolution that I wanted to use does not work with Sprint at this time. It seems I am also required to update the firmware to get this to work. I found the RUU, but that says it requires S-OFF to work. OK. I'm now trying to S-OFF with Sunshine, and that states that it requires a stock or close to stock ROM to achieve S-OFF, therefore my device is incompatible. I read that Maximus HD works with Sunshine on an M8, but it doesn't look like it Maximus will work with Sprint. I am trying to download a stock nandroid backup for my CID SPCS_001 M8 and I cannot find one. Seems like if I achieve SuperCID status that I could use a different CID backup. Cool. But now I need to get S-OFF to change to SuperCID. I'm stuck in a loop and I have googled and forum searched for 3 nights 6-8 hours a night now. Please help. My end goal is to get a Sense-based ROM, so I can use my HTC toys like Dual camera and IR TV remote, that also runs fast, saves battery, and I reliable, that I can get my hotspot functional. Thank you in advance!

Install the latest version of TWRP recovery and try it again. Latest version can be found in the link below. It's version 2.8.3.0.

Okay, I flashed TWRP no problem. I put the zip you told me on my SD and tried to install from zip. Log says:
Installing...
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found

Error flashing zip...

Ideas?

Can you post your recovery log? You can also try to flash this ROM in recovery. It's a stock rooted based on 2.16.651.4. If you get the same error, reboot to the bootloader and then back to recovery, then flash the ROM again.

if you use an ruu to go completely stock, you will need to relock your bootloader if you are s-on
