Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I have a touch pro 2 GSM (Rhod100) that i'm trying to hard spl unlock.
whenever i try to unlock (gsm or cdma, ive tried both) it just says
Warning, this package is not intended for your phone, exiting now.
I'm pulling my hair out over this, i've searched this whole forum and cannot find anyone else with this problem!
Thanks in advance
Heres what booting into that tri colour mode says.
Security Unlocked
RHOD*** 32M SS-BC
SPL-0,87.0000
MicroP(LED) 0x0A
MicroP(Key) 0x04
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
.. then some numbers then saying calibrated.
Please help
Security unlocked ? So it's a second hand RHOD already unlocked.
its probably a refurb yes but its not hard spl unlocked so i cant put cfw on it. and yes my sd card was removed, i did notice you removed edited your post
You have checked your radio rom ? Tried to reflash a stock rom and HardSPL after ? Your phone might have met Olipro sim unlocker, flashed with a stock rom, but not SPL relocked after. Many scenarios are possible.

Anyone? Jeez...
And you tried to apply HARDSpl from your SD card ? Or data cable ?
from data cable through activesync (winxp) didnt think through sd card was possible
It was on legacy devices, but unfortunaltely seems not possible with RHOD Just checked. I think at this stage, you could try to switch your usb cable and usb port. If it ain't work, a post in the HardSPL Section might call the attention of Olipro.
its now getting error 246
You should pay attention @ this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4930529&postcount=979
The cab needed is this one http://hpcmonex.net/roms/enablerapinew.cab
already got that cab. AND IM NOT DONATING FOR SOMETHING THAT ISN'T WORKING, I'LL DO THAT AFTER.
Fixed now. Tip for people who got their hong kong tp2's. Donate and hard reset! Thats the key!

Hi guys. I have installed loads of ROMs onto my trusty hermes yet today, when trying to flash DuttyThroys Ultra Ultra Lite rom this happened: i downloaded ROM and installed it, it seemed to install fine, got to 100% and then came up with error message stating that Image File was corrupt. Now my hermes is stuck on the multicoloured bootloader screen?!?!?!? I have SPL 2.10. Hard SPL V7 HERM 100 IPL 1.04 (Dont know which of these is relevant to anythin?) .I have read the WIKI on repairing bricks but for my problem it says to reflash any nbh without radio. How is this possible if i cant get my pc to connect to my hermes???
Tried the method of turning off usb connection in active sync, removing battery, reconnecting to usb and running mitty (command SET 14 0) but nothing happens. Mitty says CMD error and active sync doesnt reopen the connection like the guide says! Man i hate this cuz i have now become one of those annoying noobs who has bricked their phone and hassles everyone for help!!!!
Have also tried to flash from sd card but nothing happens, flicks to white screen with LOADING... on it for 2 secons then flicks back to that wonderful multicoloured screen of joy!
Any help will be appreciated guys, cant live without my hermes!!!
Welcome to the fuc... nightmare world of the brick,i'mma in your same situation, now my Tytn is a piece of white stone, and it seems there's no reason to bring it back to live!
I can't stay without my Tytn i do a lot of things with it,Skype,SIP calls,Mail,Messenger,Memo,Internet......i'm in totally despair!!!
you should be able to just reflash a known good rom.

Brilliant story! both compelling and rich. But i have already explained that my pc doesnt recognise my hermes so how do you RECOMMEND i flash??
IT could be interesting to make the minimal effort to go and read the wiki.

With the microsd card...
right, its looking good. managed to begin flashing (bar has stopped for ages but having read this is normal im not so scared!) using the SD method. Where my device wasnt superCID i had to use the matching ROM (Orange) to my CID (which incidently i dont know, just downloaded both Orange ROMs).
While im waiting ill try and help you TETSUO! (Im a noob so probably cant!)
Is your device SuperCID??? tell me as much as you can about your device SPL etc
dude, if u read my post u would have seen that i have tried SD method once (sing Black 3.5 not ORANGE ROM), im not crying and im grateful for any help but when i get advice such as 'flash a rom' im gonna be pissed!
And i have read ALL the page on unbricking!!!
It worked!!
One more question, as i have installed a stock Orange ROM do i now need to reinstall HardSPL v7??
Are you on a Win XP or a Vista PC?
XP dude, sorry should have said! and thanks
i went into bootloader, still says 2.10 olipro but when i try to update to new ROM (Black X RC)and pick autodetect it says it says unknown version, use SSPL. it never used to say this so i assume i need to install HardSPL 7 again???
with the tri colour sceen, when you plug the usb cable in does it go from serial to USB ?
what OS have you got ?
just my 2 cents hope it helps.
dude, i have got past that problem and have managed to install an Orange ROM onto it. i only need to know ow whether to install HardSPL v7 again!
sorry slooooooooooooooooow typing
good question hope there an answer,

just saw your post if ur device is hardspl you just need to supercid your device, If your spl is still showing hardspl and its coming as a error that normally happens to me as well just manually click spl 2.10 and tick (is it hardspl?}
To recap, i have now managed to flash a stock Orange ROM from SD card ( i think the reason it didnt work first time with SD is because device isnt SuperCID and i was trying to flash Black RC, soon as i used Orange ROM (my device is M3100) it worked. I am now back to a fully operational device. I wish to go back to Black but when i AutoDetect what bootloader i have it recommeds SSPL method. Before all my problems it would always automatically pick 2.10?? Does this mean i need to install HardSPL v7 again??
it was HardSPL v7 before all these problems, but im a noob so dont know if it still is?? would installing Orange ROM from SD Card remove HardSPL?? Bootloader still shows SPL as 2.10 oli

If you only flash the orange os.nb only then your hardspl wouldnt have changed so its safe to flash your device just manually choose.
If you want to flash hardspl again then do it on a precaution method
Mark,
First of all well done for getting yourself out of a hole. It seems quite difficult to ask for help these days without being shot to pieces even when you have first tried to help yourself by doing all the right things, which is more than can be said for some who come on here asking for help. So well done again.
Re your question, I would reflash Hard SPL anyway to be sure; however before you do that go to the Mr Vanx's guide on hard SPL (forgot the link but type in www.mrvanx.org and you should be taken there) and follow his instructions.
Good luck.

try reinstalling a stock rom. might work but if you cant install a radio it looks like you have a nice pda but not a phone anymore...
No Not really
The only reason i was having to reflash the phone was that it was locking up all the time, even having flashed the phone it was having problems with Tom Tom.
Please HELLP!
Can some one please advise me on this situation,
is there any way of sorting this out?
stock orange m3100 rom wont flash
Just tried standard orange m3100 rom
it stops at 12% and wont continue,
seems any rom with a radio wont flash past 12/13%
any radio free rom is fine
it wont flash radio only roms
PLEASE HELP
Have you tried flashing radio only?

have olivpro 2.30 and hardspl7
thought this was ment to prevent bricking?
no, it improves chances of recovering a brick but wont stop it from happening. It loks like your radio is corrupted. You might have to bite the bullet and tell your dad his phone no longer works... sorry for the bad news...
have you tried flashing a rom with radio included through yur sd card. had same issue and this worked for me.
If ya can't install a radio, sounds like your stuck with a pda and not a phone.
Have you tried a number or radio's?

using hardsplv7 improves chances of recovering, but nothing is 100%
If you flash your phone with manufacturers rom and get everything back to original, see if orange or manufacturer will fix it under warranty or insurance. THIS IS A LAST RESORT AS IF THEY DIG DEEP AND KNOW YOU HAVE MESSED WITH PHONE, THEY'LL DO NOTHING FOR YOU!!!
Personally I have returned phone once due to not being able to receive or make calls. I flashed original rom etc but forgot to put original radio back on. They never noticed and I got my phone back fixed. But this is a BIG RISK.
have now managed to get spl 1.01 on the phone
trying to change to spl 1.04 and reflashing!
however now when i task 32
it has
level FF not Level 0???

Ditto.
Is there anyway of fixing the corrupted radio? is there no way to "re-write" the radio bootloader?
obviously the radio bootloaders have changed over the different versions of the roms so why cant we "re-construct" the bootloaders in this fashion?
Referring to :HERMES Bootloader 1.01 MFG (WIKI) I cant use the "Flashing SPL-1.04 again" method because my radio is corrupted, so, I lose SuperCID, and don't have access to the lnb command; is there a SPL-1.04.nbS that we can use?!
If there is, would it allow us to use a radio of that version? or is this mute?
I've read several threads and the wiki several times, but, it seems this corrupted radio issue is something new that the wiki's are partially addressing, or, whatever has caused the radio to suddenly become corrupt requires a new method to fix it.
I know i've said I've read the forums, wiki, but perhaps I've missed something? Any assistance is appreciated!
I was wondering if any body had spl 1.04 on their mini sd card?
the method were you just transfer over to the mini card and click on it.
i managed to change my boot loader to version 1.01 this way.
if i can change it to 1.04 can i flash to radio with out it stopping.
thanks
just solved exact problem

no shipped rom works
i want to ask if there is anyway to erase the whole radio sector ??
rerase command did not work on my hermes may be pof has some solution to this.

After lots and lots of reading the wiki's and forums over and over again I believe I may have solved the radio corruption problem on my 8525.
Just to let everyone know that I've tried flashing several SPL's; 1.01 MFG, 1.04, 1.10 Oli, 2.10 Oli, 2.60 Oli. Back and forth between the versions but finally I stayed put at 1.10.
I have/had a type 1a brick, but, not from flashing, everything was working great and then it just died. I tried Method 1 of Problem 5: Device shows NO GSM when booting more times then i would like to remember, however, nothing worked. When i tried a Radio only flash it failed at 0% and when i tried a FULL RUU it failed at 12/13% (GSM.nb). Convinced I had a $500 paper weight I got angry tried Method 2 of Problem 5 (see above link) ... strangely on the first try i was able to see the radio (1.40.30.00) and the protocol version as well...
I then thought this was too good to be true and then soft-reset my phone; BAM! "NO GSM".... I tried several times and then finally got the version readouts again... So i soft-reset into bootloader mode
Code:
typed: info 2
returned: HTCS
typed: task 32
returned: Level = 0
typed: rtask b
returned: AT-Command Interpreter ready <--------- YES!!!
I was then able to get enter the AT/Radio Commands so i did what anyone else would do.... FLASH ANOTHER RADIO!!!
I flashed the Radio from HTC_Hermes_SIM_Unlock_v2a and it just finished... I got an error at the end, and after the soft-reset the version stayed 1.40.30.00, but once booted into WM6.1 it immediately picked up the 3G signal... I hope this lasts longer then others have reported.
Should i try to flash another radio that is radio_bootloader 108???
*sigh* ... froze in WM6.1 reset then "No GSM" again... so then i tried HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a but it failed because I kept getting No GSM; so i did the battery trick to get version info's then ran the .bat as instructed and it perfomed the unlock; this time it reflected the radio 1.16.0.0
since I know what it takes to get the radio to flash, i'm trying RUU_Hermes_CINGULAR_WWE_3.62.502.3_6275_1.54.07.00_108_UOOS_SVN05_Ship.exe ..... i mean what do i have to lose right?
[EDIT] it worked... so lets see what happens.... [/EDIT]
[EDIT2] Radio is 1.54.07.00 & Protocol is 32.86u.7020.23H ... so it looks like its perm now... I've been able to send and recieve calls now too.... [/EDIT2]
after several hours of usage, radio no longer responds and WM becomes unstable and after a soft-reset I get "No GSM" ...
Question to Olipro, Des, pof:
Is it possible to log the beginning bootup screen to see what exactly triggers the "No GSM" vs the radio/protocol versions?!?! there has to be something that were missing... it would seem ever since radio 108 this problems have arisen... comments?
I have a gsm diamond (from t-mobile uk) and have flashed it to 1.34 hspl to use the new 25.16 radio and dutty's v3.1 both are working fine however I can't *upgrade* (i know it's not an upgrade per se) to hspl 1.93. it's stuck on 1.34.
using customruu it goes through the normal motions and on screen shows it to 100% then restarts etc, but after i check by going into the bootloader it hasn't updated. I have looked about and search for some time now and don't see anyone expericencing quite the same thing.

I have the exact same issue... I tired updating it from 1.24 to 1.93 and it restarted like it updated it. But when I go into boot loader its still got the old hardspl.
Does anyone know why??
I have tried searching around for a solution but no luck
I'm no noob and i've flashed 100's of times across many fones and unbricked a few with some careful reading but this seems very odd and stupidly simple. No idea what i'm missing.... only thing i can think to try is to flash from internal storage, but i would think this unwise with the hardspl as I thought hardspl would control access to the internal storage like some sort of bios perhaps?!
Same here
Hey guys,
Does anyone knows what is the resolution for this? I having the same problem as well.
Hi guys!
HSPL blocks write attempts to the SPL-part of the nand! You need to run SSPL from windows mobile and then flash the HSPL-Version you want. This is pretty much the only way to override that write-protection!

Hi everybody,
got yesterday another diamond, after mine died some time ago. It has 193 spl and I cannot upgrade to olinex spl. It runs through everything, but upon reboot it still has the original 193 spl. Any ideas? I really need to flash, mine speaks Dutch and I want it in English. Please help. Kind regards. Ben
Dear All,
this time, I have a problem and need your help, please.
I just bought a new (used, but not by me ) HTC Touch Diamond. Hard-SPL (1.37 from whoever) was installed.
First MTTY'ed the device - with success (set 14 0, task 29, task 8)
Wanted to install OliNex 1.40 first
Started ROM-Update, everything went fine, screen of Diamond changed into "bar display" - but stays there with 0%
Tried several flashes (OliNex, ROM, Radio - everything the same)
Does anybody have a hint for me what to do? Identifier seems ok, DIAM100 is shown in intial bootloader screen (three color-screen)
I appreciate any hint.
With kind regards from Switzerland - Christoph
Radio
Downgrade your radio to one below 1.02.XXX before flashing the unlocked radio
Full instructions to unlock your diamond are here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=749201
Once you have done this, you can flash any ROM you like
Dear Dave,
thank you very much for your support.
Unfortunately it didn't help but showed everytime the same picture - stuck in the bar at 0% and doesn't do anything.
I tried STEP 1, STEP 2 and downgrading to radio 1.00.25.05 (but actually I don't know which is actually installed, as the Diamond never reaches the Touch Diamond page with ROM & HW Info, it stucks in the Touch Diamond page with no information at all, if started not in Bootloader mode)
It seems to me that the bootloader itself could be corrupted or the model number (shows DIAM100 in Bootloader) is somewhat corrupted, as I know that the internal storage consists of more digits (like DIAM10000 or so) - and a way to fix it with MTTY? But I can't find a description of the MTTY tasks of the Diamond.
Any more Idea?
Thank you Dave, and all the others who read and think, in advance.

Can you get into Bootloader mode by holding down
Volume down button + Back button (Bottom right button) + Press reset with the pen
Then keep pressed the first two buttons and let go of reset, keep hold of the first two buttons until it reaches the bootloader mode
If you can do this, then reboot and put the radio onto the storage card (4GB one) and enter bootloader mode, then folllow instructions on that screen to flash the radio, and you can do the same for the rom
It sounds to me like maybe you have not managed to flash the HardSPL properly
Hi Dave!
Thanks for your quick reaction.
Yes, I can anter bootloader mode. But nothing more. Flash is not possible. Hard-SPL was the first thing I tried to flash but it also remained at 0%
How can I put files on the internal storage card from within bootloader mode? (Phone is not booting, ONLY bootloader mode is accessible...) I never encountered this before...
But I can reach the phone with MTTY.. can I access the storage card through this?
X
Have your tried different HardSPL versions ?
Im not sure what is wrong... if you are in Bootloader mode, and the USB drivers are installed and you have activesync running on the PC it should update no problem
I would make sure all the above is true, and attempt different HardSPLs
I think that is the issue as you wont be able to flash an unlocked radio or custom rom without HardSPL being flashed first
Here is another version you could try
http://selfmod.net/how-to-hard-spl-a-htc-diamond/
EDIT - And I dont know if there is a way to access the storage card from MTTY or bootloader, my guess is that you wont be able to
Also, this is a GSM Diamond right ? Not a CDMA ? (UK Networks are GSM)
CDMA flash is here
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-diam...ond_c-cdma-sspl-hardspl-package-here-now.html
Hi Dave!
Yes, it's GSM. Thanks for your help and the links provided - it didn't help.
I tried various Hard-SPLs: OliNex 1.20, 1.30, 1.37, 1.40 and 1.93 (developers)
Result - all the same: standstill at 0%
I've seen in MTTY that I have an "upload" menu item - but need there the start address and command line for Diamond plus to know what it is meant for, I will try to find out... and if there is some new know-how out of this, I will post it here, in order that future GENERATIONS may find it *laugh*
Dave? THANKS!
Kindest regards from Switzerland - Christoph

Ok, lol Another possible !
Maybe your friend flashed a Signed HardSPL which means you can only flash Signed radios and roms until you flash another unsigned HardSPL
If the Radio you are trying to downgrade to is unsigned that could explain the issue... try and find a Signed radio below version 1.02.XXX and try to flash that, then try to flash to another Unsigned HardSPL, if the radio flash goes ok.
------------
Update stops at 0%
Short answer: You're running the normal HardSPL and you're trying to flash an unsigned (not signed by olinex) ROM. You need the developer version which fixes the 0% issue. Link is at the bottom of this post. Read on to understand the difference between Standard/Developer Edition!
Long answer: First you need to understand that there are two definitions of "signed". HTC and the mobile operators sign ROMs so that the RUU flash utility allows them to be flashed. Usually this is what the word "signed" in the filename means.
Then there is another definition of signed: The developers of HardSPL introduced their own signing process. They want to ensure that people flashing cooked ROMs can rely on a certain quality standard. The normal version of HardSPL will only allow ROMs signed by OliNex to be flashed. If the ROM you are about to flash is signed, it will say so in the thread you got it from. If it isn't signed, you will need the developer version of HardSPL. That one will allow any ROM to be flashed. Get it at the bottom of this posting.
A note on this: The signing process by olinex makes sure that the ROM you're about to flash won't brick your device. It doesn't mean all other ROMs are necessarily evil.

This is the answer. I used to have the same problem because when I bought my diamond I thought everything runs the same as the TyTN but ...
So to cut this story short, almost 90% of the 0% bar situations are because U R not using signed roms. However if Ya want to then use the unsigned HardSPL.
Hi Dave & Nazgul,
it seems that my case belonst to the non-90%
Of course I tried all this, but I have THREE diamonds - two were branded by the Swiss Swisscom (this is, in fact, the same image as the German Vodafone branding), one was the original HTC version
I'm flashing Diamonds since two years though.
My fault this time was, that I THOUGHT, this new one were HardSPL'ed, but it wasn't - and formatted the device using MTTY without Hard-SPL.
After that I had the above mentioned situation.
NO Hard-SPL was flashable - as written above - also noth the unsigned developer 1.93 edition - it always remained at 0%
I managed in the meantime to flash the original Vodafone/Swisscom ROM. So I have back the device in the official configuration (HTC Swisscom 1.97 package http://www.swisscom-mobile.ch/scm/d...pa=0x0x147x18x0x0x0x0x0&odg=SoftwareAndManual)
But - this uses Radio 1.08.xxx and I would like to downgrade because I think, Dave's hint above to use a radio before 1.02.xxx would be worth a try.
BUT - I STILL can't flash anything. Neither ANY Hard-SPL nor any Radio version nor any ROM.
The bar remains at 0%
I tried to find the original (first edition) of the Swisscom ROM Package, which used the Radio 1.00.25.05 - and then to try Dave's proposed steps.. but I can't find it anymore - all you can find is the "latest" package...
So I would still appreciate any help to be able to flash. Ok, now at least, I have a usable phone... but... I wanted to use it (as the other two) for ROM development testing, so who wants to have a PHONE!?!?
Kind regards from Switzerland - Christoph
Here is your radios
Sorry for the short post, I have a really bad hangover lol
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956
Morn' Dave!
I tried them all - none of them was flashable... same 0%-bar.
I thought of having the V 1.00 complete official Swisscom-Pack and as part of it, the radio 1.00.25.05, which is included. Seems to me, that the c(complete) official ROM pack is flashable.
THEN I could re-try to flash Hard-SPL (with then installed radio below 1.02.xxx)
Hangover? What's this?

YEa that might work, it is almost certain the issue is the HARDSpl being either not flashed, or flashed with a signed version
Good luck !!
And the hangover is nearly gone... I cured yesterdays with more alcohol lol
Have you tried these UNSIGNED dev HARDspls ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400950
Hi Dave - GOT IT, solved
The "secret" was to flash noit from withi boot loader but from within Win Mobile with ActiveSync/Windows Device Center connected.
Then say "Yes" when "enterbootloader.exe" was asked to be installed/invoked.
Then the Device rebooted, flashed Hrd-SPL 1.40 correctly - and everything else onwards went fine.
Thanks a lot for your assitance, Dave and others.
Kind regards from Switzerland - Christoph
Ah.. I thought you were already using the Activesync and CustomRUU to flash it with !
Yes, the ROMs and Radios can be flashed from the storage card, but the Hard SPL needs to be done from Activesync / CUstomRUU
Pleased you got it working anyway
Hi, I recently bought a new Rhodium on ebay from Hong Kong. I'm a junior when it comes to flashing but did succeed with Tael on my previous Touch Pro 1.
On the Rhodium I was looking for a rom with speed and a low bug count and choose the Silence or Energy roms. I could flash neither even after unlocking. I flashed Mighty and I thought successfully but when I rebooted only had the HTC screen then stars and I thought I'd bricked. Took it to my local shop who played with it and then handed it to a guru and came to the conclusion it was dead. I continued and found on the tricolour boot screen it responded to a usb connection. It is now working but the only rom it will accept is from the site.

and is the
HTC RHOD100 n/a 1.86.401.0 (67102) WWE
I don't know whether I have a GSM or CDMA phone but it is a T7373
Is it possible to load Silence or another fast custom rom?
Thanks
In essence
I believe the T7373 is the Rhodium 100 and that it is a GSM phone.
So I should look for ROM's on XDA and not on ppcgeeks
My question now boils down to why can I only flash the stock ROM and if I try the Silence ROM, for example, it says not suitable for this device.
Hi
when you say "after unlocking" do you mean you installed HardSPL, found here?

and when its a wwe rom, i recommend to use a wwe rom again, u say u want to use a energie rom, what exactly is happening? when u flash it is can hang up to 10 minutes, so thats why i want to know it . maybe we can help..
The Rhodium Model Number can be found at the sticker in the battery compartment under the battery...I'm curious about the purchase of the device from Hong Kong and whether or not it's an official HTC and if not, would that have anything to do with it.
Rhodium 100
Thanks for the replies

this is what I get after a google
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-pro/57578-error-244-invalid-model-id-reflashing-stock-rom.html
Are you sure you got the correct (GSM) version of HardSPL?
You may have to relock and then rerun HardSPL

Thanks for your help. Have relocked then unlocked using Hard SPL. Latest I can find is 0.85 Olinex. Still the same error message when I try to flash anything other than the stock ROM
Locking and Unlocking
Well, I don't think I'm gonna get any more advice. So my conclusion is that my phone is not properly unlocked. I've tried the relocker and unlocker posted by OliNex at the top of this board. Can anyone tell me what I see on my tri-colour boot up screen which tells me whether the phone is locked or unlocked? Thanks
i also bought one from hongkong on ebay from dealrus or something and is also a rhod100 and have a energy rom on it so if bought it from the same seller it is possible
