um.. turn off your phone, and plug it in to the charger
wait for a green light. un plug, wait 10 sec. (phone is still off) plug back in until the light turns green again, should take like 10 min. then thats a full charge u can get.

All Android versions have a regulator that only charges up to 97 then gradually let's it discharge to about85 then it will charge it back up again until you take it off charger. That feature is there in order to prevent overcharging. The only way you can truly get 100% is if you charge your phone while the phone is turned off.

Awesome I didn't know that! This will be my first extended battery. I heard you have to calibrate it? Any tips?
You did well for that price! so enjoy
As for the calibration I'm not really big into the extended battery thing, so I couldn't really help you with that.
use a SBC kernel, they dont need calibration

My phone doesn't like SBC kernels. I tried them all and they install fine but the phone doesn't charge Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I always wipe cache and dalvik before flashing a kernel.
Haha buy it now on ebay. I saw that one almost got it myself.

after installing the kernel and rebooting, unplug the phone (If it wa plugged in during the process) for a minute then plug it back in and it should charge, if it doesn't charge at all then check if it charges with the phone off, if it will then try a different sbc modded kernel or redownload it again

I tried this SBC kernals 4.2.2 more aggressive and less aggressive.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876590
The more aggressive one worked fine at first and then it wouldnt charge. Then I flashed the less aggressive and the same thing happen exept this time I turned off the phone and it was charging fine. I turned on the phone with the charger plugged in and its charging fine now. Weird, hope it works this time

Non-SBC kernel calibration for extended batteries:
1) with phone on, plug in until led is green
2) unplug, turn phone off, plug in until led is green
3) turn back on, plug in until led is green
4) with phone on and plugged in, reboot into recovery and wipe battery stats
5) reboot, when phone completely turns on, unplug
6) use phone until it shuts itself off from low battery
7) continue to turn on until it won't even power up anymore
8) plug in and let it charge completely before turning on (I would keep it plugged in even after led turns green, maybe over night)
Your battery should be calibrated.
Just ordered one off of ebay What kind of battery are people on cm7 getting?
I just got two extended batt n a portable charger for 20 bucks shipped I don't know its any good but will let you know lol.

Poor Battery Life please help?

Hi, for the last two weeks i have been frustrated with my battery draining really fast, I have changed roms 3-4 times and kernels multiple times. I need some pointers on what could be wrong. On battery monitor, it shows barely and positives and if they are positive they are high (300+) I don't know what to do. I am currently on 0003, pri 1.77, Mikfroyo v4.5 with net 4.3 bfs havs more. Thanks

charge phone until light turn green. unplug, wait till led goes out. plug back in, wait until green. turn your phone off. wait until LED turns green. unplug, wait for LED to go out, plug back in, wait for LED to turn green, rinse and repeat 10 times.
enjoy better battery life.
Just checked...
1d 9h 9m 55s since last unplugged. With about 40% remaining. No - I'm not lying.
That is, of course, with only about 45mins of talking but that is also with a constant twitter connection as well as Exchange Active Sync (microsoft push) constantly bringing me about 120 emails per day on average.
I don't know if my battery life is common (although I gather not) but I can tell you this:
-my phone has a totally stock ROM, but is rooted with many bloat progs removed.
-I disabled or removed all location-aware progs
-I pretty much never use bluetooth so its always off
-I do occasionally use WiFi so thats maybe on 10% of the time
-I *never* put the phone on the charger until it has literally shut itself off dead. I then charge to 100% and repeat. I'm guessing this is the biggest factor.
This is just what works for me.
Have you tried Juice Defender? Its.free and.available in the Market

With setcpu screen off profile and data n wifi off I loose 0% in ~hours of not used. With jd, I obviously loose a little bit through the night since It turns on every now n then. I get OK battery life. But great performance

i'm getting very, very good life with screen off on newest cm7 nightly 7. but while screen on, i'm getting massive loss. the settings tells me its from desplay, about 50%. this really pisses me off. any fixes? autobrightness is on btw. and i am getting fantasmizix performance (1500 benchmarks).
Try turning autobrightness off.
ok i'll try that. its probably a combination of that and terrible service where i am now.

CM7 Defy battery gap.

I know there was an old threat of this.
But none of us fix this issue.
When I use the defy, there are always battery gap, no matter charging or discharge, which make me annoyed.
Example:discharge from 60% to 50% in 1 second.
And charge from 90% to 100% in 1 second.
I really hope there will be some developer to explain on this and give me a way to fix this.
Thanks for anyone who have paid attention on this.

yea .. same problem here ... nothing specific discussed anywhere .... though i think that the problem is with the battery now ( cause of frequent flashing of ROMS , restoring , ETC , the battery levels kept varying , and made the skips permanent )
.. thinking bout changing the battery
Me too.....from 56% to 49 % and from 28 % to 19 %.....and its charging for around 25 minutes around 80% ://
maybe you can try this method, exhausted of battery power, let your phone shut off Automatically, then plug your phone, wait for led turn blue then perss Volume
Down,Enter Recovery->Stable Recovery->Advanced->Wipe Battery Stats, then Go Back->Power off, don't unplug your phone untill the battery is full charged,
perhaps it will be helped to you sorry for my bad english

The hardest part for me is from 85 to 100 percent, sometimes it takes about 45 (or more) mins to get charged from 85 till 100 but takes 1.5 hr from 1 to 85 percent with original charger.

You are probably remembering it wrong. Android always drops the battery percentage to 99% as soon as you unplug the charger. Just google it, it is not a Galaxy Wonder bug or something.

Best not to do that a full charge takes like 1.5 hours unless you are downloading something which takes a few hours depending on your speed eg. downloading a game data file of 600 MB.

It's okay if you over-charge the battery as there's a mechanism when you have reached 100%m it automatically stops the electrical consumption.
That's why when you unplug it, it turns into 99%
