You should actually report it to us. The Wildfire's devs can fix it faster and (probably) better than HTC. And I would laugh if they wanted to fix whatever your problem for an EOL device.

Thanks, could you help me in relation with this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164481

What about the mic, is it working? Thanks for your help to the hero community. Are you going to return to us?
This happens because some of the libs (HTC + android) are meant to be dl-opened and some are prelinked.
You can always play around with ldd to find which are dynamic and which aren't.
libaudio / libaudioeq / libhardware_legacy tend to cause problems.
Touch screen is now working, was kernel related. But proprietary libs are still not getting linked correctly...

I do not belong to anyone. I do the work I need for me, or concerning Hero, for my girlfriend needs. I just share it, that is all.
But please do respect the " [dev] " in the thread subject and do not pollute and wait for a release.
Can you give these libs a try?
http://www.multiupload.com/EIPA5SFXAW
I created a full Froyo build with HTC propitiatory drivers.
Let me know if you need anything else.

I tried but same error. So u managed to build/run it from source? Is your vendor or device tree somewhere online ?
after having JIT working on Sense 2.1 (thanks for Feeyo) and having the official 2.1 Froyo is the most important thing - I think
The communities eyes are on you guys C:

I have build it from source yea and got booted up. Although I am having a lot of issues with FC's. I used the sapphire tree with edits and used the 2.1 Hero proprietary drivers to compile it correctly.
I got struck on that spl thing, but Darchstar have near working froyo for cdma. So there is probably some solution to touchscreen problem at least. Look here:

and here:

It is now fully working except camera (didn't sleep for 24 hours now and still awake!).

Woah great work! I'm guessing you will release it when you get the camera working?
I will defiantly flash as soon this is out

Now this shows who's the real "ROM assembler". None of the popular* ROM "developers" have achieved this. Thanks and congrats Lox_Dev!

in fairness RaduG compiled Cyan 5.0.7 from Source. He's been on holiday since before Froyo sources were released (AND RaduG is 17!)
But definately, Lox is one of the forefront devs to have looked at Hero, along with Paul, MoDaCo who prefers to deal with Sense than Cyan
Im quite looking forward to trying this. Thank you for your hard work!
it doesn´t mind for me if the camera is not working because i do not use it, but only if you can´t solve it, i think that you can release it and then make an update.zip fix for the camera like other devs.
but whitout any hurry, this is only my opinion.
i can´t wait to flash this.
good job man.
It must be fun to know that xda and twitter get hammered by people waiting for a download link . Great effort, Lox. Again you start the route to a great variety of Froyo Roms on our not yet old-fashioned Heroes
Thanks for making your source tree public and let others benefit from your findings. Nice stroke.
Things you might want to test: (you asked on twitter)
- Proximity sensor
- Brightness sensor
- Location searching through WLAN
- Gmail sync
- Full market access
- Alarm clock
- su (root)
BTW: Can't wait to modify my Exchange password policy removal tool to work on Froyo. If you need assistance in testing, let me know
just a question, will we be able to flash it tonight?

[Q] Tweaks & Fixes in Pays ROM

Due to don't having 10 posts yet I have to post this question here and hope that Pay will read it.
In the original thread of Pays ROM 4.0 Pay said that he include tweaks and fixes but in this thread or anywhere else I can't find any information of what kind of tweaks and fixes he did.
What's going on? Anybody there who can answere this?
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
he includes those tweaks and fixes in the new releases, so when you install the latest pays rom you get everything in the rom

That he include it is read in the thread, but this is not the question.
I want to know which kind of tweaks and fixes he did.
For example:
Improving radio reception could be a tweak or some kind of bug fixing...???
Update 30.03.2011
I guess I found the answere.
Due to the encrypted and signed bootloader is it not possible to modify the kernel, isn't it?
Therefore, anyone can't do system fixes and make a real custom ROM.
Am I right?

[FIX] Wakeup lag fix for AUO panels

jdivic and me made a fix for wakeup lag on AUO panels but it needs more testing. We tested it on two devices with AUO panels and the wakeup lag should be reduced to the level of sharp ones.
I have attached the diff file and CWM update zip with modified Rafpigna 1.9OC kernel (non GB).
If you currently use Rafpigna kernel please try this version and report back.
Please report the wakeup time and type of panel.
Type of panel can be found with:
Code:
adb shell
dmesg | grep "Board id"
Tytung test kernel:

thats realy great! but can it be flashed to typhoon rom with tytungs kernel?
Nice idea, will test
I don't think so, but for real I don't know. This is Raf's kernel for froyo, and is built for test purposes. If it will be confirmed working, I'm sure that tytung, raf and other kernel builders will incorporate our changes in their new bulids.
make it for clk GB and u got me as tester
WOW man! It works! Thank you guys.
As in screen wake up?
I'm running an AUO panel;
<4>[ 1.526947] panel type is 1 :board id is 4 : AUO
but on typhoon CM7 . . . . any chance you could compile for that build, I would think there are a lot of typhoon users who would appreciate this

Last question , what do you think how long will it take you to try to fix the same @ tytung's kernel
note that 99 % new roms are on "tytung's kernel v10"
If you need beta testers I think there are plenty of them here, including me.
Should be possible to "update" the kernel via cwr then.

I think it is one of the oldest part of the code, and I think it is just the same in all kernels, so, change to tytung kernel... it would take more time to pull the git repository and to compile it then to apply the change ...

[ROM] CyanogenMod CM-13.0 jgcaap's builds [EXT4/F2FS Compability]

Hello everyone, after a great success on building roms for bacon device. I've decided to share my work with other devices. So I've started with angler! After positive feedback on the rom today I'll publish here the rom.
Kernel and Device tree are untouched so everything should be working smoothly. You can use a custom kernel in case you like, but i'll only give support to stock kernel as I do not yet own an device. So CM bugs are basically also our bugs, and from what I know there is none. Still I'm open to suggestions.
Download
GAPPS
Features:
Updated SQL to 3.9.0.2
Optimized SQL code for faster Read/Write
CM Super User (for now is the most stable one)
Kernel with F2FS support
Improved Code of frameworks
Optimized Build with custom toolchain on ROM and Kernel
Optimizations for our chip
Improved sound with speex resampler
Improved bionic with many optimized libraries (faster rom)
Improved Art with upstream patches
Optimized native frameworks for our device
LZMA updated to the latest
Proguard 5.2.1
Google Webview
F2FS ready for data and cache
Immersive mode
Expanded Notifications
CAF Task Manager
Snapdragon Camera
Network Monitor
More coming soon
I'm a very praticle user, and my aim will be to get a very fluid stable system, at same time with speed and battery, keeping most stock possible with the optimizations which will improve for real our experience.
Thanks

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What changes have you made between versions?
A: All changes made are the same as CyanogenMod ROM which can be found here: http://www.cmxlog.com/13/bacon/ and all manual changes will be also stated on 2nd post.
You can also check on Settings --> About where is all the changes .
Q: What is LZ4?
A: Read here about the project: https://github.com/Cyan4973/lz4
Q: Was latest build used LZ4?
A: This is still under testing and I'm working on it. It'll be on the test folder.
Q: What is the test folder?
A: Unstable, and test builds where I seek to study a new configuration to enhance user experience.
Q: Why don't you always share change logs?
A: Limited time. Sorry about it.
Q: Why do you many times ask for donations?
A: Well... This work is free, and as you know if you like it and on your own free will you think I deserve and currently wish to help me out as I am currently going to become unemployed and as also I study for my Masters in Finance , I believe is only fair. While you use, I'm testing and investing my time on it. Should be rewarded because of that right? Is only fair.
Q: Do you receive alot of donations?
A: Since last year until today I've received around 300 euro. But I've invested 1000 hours on these android builds. That gives a ratio of 30 cents an hour.
Q: Why do you still invest on android since it doesn't provide you any feasible income? I would have already quited!
A: Basically this forum makes me relax.
Q: Will you leave cm builds when exodus is released ?
A: I didn't plan on giving my cm builds, but if exodus prove to be superior why should i have double work right? Only time and users will tell.
Q: I'm confused. I have no clue which build is the latest!
A: You can always download again!
Q: Your site have ads why?
A: Need help on extra wealth to survive. Leave some clicks while you visit is only nice.
Q: I want more from the rom!
A: Me too!
Q: Why you sometimes ignore users?
A: I never ignore, just don't have time to answer all. Please help one another and also use search button. I think you prefer me learning to bring something nice than post all the time right? hehe
Q: I have so many questions to ask you!
A: I can provide many answers! Just ask!
Q: Can I PM you?
A: Only when is urgent!
Q: How to report bugs?
A: Our bugs are CM bugs. Report on JIRA: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org
Q: Are you CyanogenMod maitainer?
A: No, just an user which wants to have better builds possible. But would be nice to see CM adding me to the contributions list.
Q: Why Slim gaaps? Open Gaaps are so much cool!
A: Open Gaaps has provided many unstable issues which makes the phone unusable until a clean format. Slim gaaps have shown to be better on that.
Q: Why some buttons of UKM don't work?
A: Need time to improve that..
Q: I want an update app to auto update roms. To lazy to check the thread!
A: I understand, for now is not feasible to do it as I need time to analyse and understand best solution as I update tool-chains regularly and also is not my priority. Remember time is limited for me.

Yes, I have heard good things about it! So if I do not change /system to F2FS then I will be able to flash this ROM and other ROMS as normal correct? As long as they support F2FS of course for the other partitions I have converted. But some recommend system as F2FS as well, if I did that then what is the draw back? I would have to convert ROMS to be able to flash correct?

Well I think it's not possible.Only Asus could do that. They really need to learn lesson from Sony. Build 2 seperate roms. One is their ZenUI, the other one could be AOSP. But they are not smart enough to think that their rom is full of BLOATWARE ****

Asus should give stable firmwares updated and with all possible features, also must provide the sources of it(only if based on open source), if you dont want their software then you should find how to use something else or make your own, and THIS WAS THE ONLY OBJECTIVE ON XDA back in the day.
Also your comment about sony isnt totally true, as you make it sound great but dont tell about the fact that they support no more than 3 or 4 devices and usually stop supporting devices without even talking about it first. I know well about this because i had 2 xpedia devices and dealt with this issue before.
Now, focus on whats important, this offtopic subject only bloat the thread and make noobs think its true because they dont have experience about it.
And now i hope this answer i gave ends this useless subject.
