hey everyone
so this is a problem that happened once before with just 1 picture message and i didn't really think much of it, but then last night with like 11 i think.
over the last month or so, like normal i've sent various picture messages to friends (pictures i took with the camera and hit share with messaging, so nothing fancy). all of them were to one friend at a time except one picture which i sent to 3 at once. they all said sending for a little bit until they said sent. most of them went through and i got responses, etc. some of them i never got responses to. i figured no biggie, they just didn't care to respond, whatever.
but then last night at 11pm, a bunch of friends started texting me "what's that picture of?" i had no clue what was going on. all the sudden my girlfriend's phone (also a t-mobile g2) started buzzing and buzzing... she received 5 picture messages from me dating back from as far back as a month ago to just a few days ago. my phone didn't show any kind of notification of picture messages having just sent. these were apparently just like lost somewhere for weeks and just finally delivered (i know that sounds like a stupid explanation but that's the only way i can describe it haha).
i called t-mobile and they told me to take the battery out and put it back in and that hopefully that would fix it. we'll have to see if it happens again now, but in the meantime i figured i'd ask the question on here and see if anyone has any thoughts on the situation.
thanks
Dave

Ok, i spend alot of time on this forum and its the most informative one on the internet. But, i haven't been able to find a solution to the problem that i've had for a year and 2 phones later. When i receive an incoming call and i push either the green button or the answer soft key, the call gets rejected. My carrier is t-mobile and the 1st dash that i bought started doing it about a month after i got the phone. I kept dealing with the inconvenience, then it started to do it about 3 to 4 times a day. I sent the phone back under warranty and got a refurbed one. Didn't do it for about a month then back to same old same old. Thats when i started to read this forum and discovered there were other versions of windows to install. So, i installed Ricky's rom (which is great) and didn't have the problem for another 2 or 3 months. I thought the problem was fixed until yesterday, it happened again about 4 times with a full signal. I made sure that the "disable reject call registry edit" was turned off when i first in stalled Ricky's rom. I can't figure it out for the life of me what the issue is (carrier, radio, other people's phones lol), I rarely ask for help because everything on this forum is very helpful and easy to find solutions to, except this. Please help.
No offense at all, but is sounds like you are "hard" on phones. From what you describe it sounds like you have been pushing the keys hard, and now they are worn out. Maybe not, but you had a Dash, it worked fine, then it broke within a month, then you gotta new one, then IT broke within a month, the common denominator here is YOU. So, I would try to be more careful with my phone, other than that, just get T-Mo to send you a new one forever. They will, if your phone doesn't work. That's how they are.
I don't think its the button because it works fine when i call somebody. Its only on the incoming calls. Can't figure it out for the life of me. When I got the refurbed phone it did it until i installed Ricky's rom. then it went away for about a month. Could it be my sim? Or maybe even the network? It gets progressively worse over. Check out this web page about the same problem.

This guy had the same problem as me except, I had the problem with both WM5 and WM6. Go figure, might be time for a blackberry.
Hello all.
I just got my HTC Desire yesterday, sweet phone I must say. I have a big problem though which has me on the very edge of sending it back.
The problem is that it reboots itself quite often, for example if I'm making a call or answering. It also does this when I'm on youtube or practically doing anything that demands a lot of memory. The only thing I've had no problems with is text messaging, which works fine. Anyways, since it's a phone I would love to be able to making calls with it (the longest call was about 4 minutes before the phone rebooted itself)..
Since I'm not sure whether this is a hard- or software problem I'm not sure whether to send it back. I have reinstalled it three times, two from Android and once by doing the whole press volume button down procedure. My question is, and it's urgent, Is there anything else I can do to "fix" it before I send it back? Or is this simply a hardware problem?
I'd really not want to send it if I don't have to since the guy I spoke to said that they have no clue as when they will get more in. They are sold out atm.
Please help!
Regards

Well, it definitely shouldn't be doing that, so I think you should call your operator and arrange a replacement to be sent chop chop.
Absolutely, never had that happen to me
Dude, it needs to go back. My phone hasn't rebooted once since getting it last weekend.
I had the same problem arranged T-Mobile to replace it. Don't keep it pal get exchanged immediately.
you could try installing the generic htc rom using goldcard
I wouldn't even bother with that.
Hard reset and if it still does it, get it sent back.
I have not had any resets yet either,
You'll regret it afterwards, if you don't send back because simply it is a faulty model, reset won't make a difference. I have bought four of these and only one turned out this problem and had it swapped next day.
If the supplier is out of stock then just wait for stock to arrive and exchange it when it does.
Okay, thank you guys. I'll send it back.
Thing is that I'll have to wait until the next shipment to the store I ordered it from, and I've already been waiting since February for the bugger
Anyway, thanks again.
I found my SD card was not inseted properly and that seemed to lead to unpredictable behaviour from the Desire.
Hi guys,
I have a problem, hoping for some advice ^^
I sent my Desire for warranty repair, as the screen has been flickering. I know about the problem with SLCD filckering and it wasn't like that. It's like the whole screen gets bright and dark in high frequency (it's AMOLED). It first appeared like 2 months ago, for half an hour, and then it was back to normal. Then it appeared again 2 days before I sent it in. I've been emailed now, 24 day later, that they could not find the problem and that it's all working fine. I've even sent them a video of the problem. but it doesn't help them, and they'll send it back.
What am I to do? Send it in again as soon as i get it back, or wait another month for the problem to appear again, just to send it back again and to receive the same answer, when there is clearly something wrong? :S
Thanks for your help.
oh, and it looked like that nook color screen flickering.
EDIT: since the device was sent to repair before, to replace the non working camera, is it possible that there could have been some problem with connectors or is this strictly hardware (display) problem?
Could be a problem with anything. Could be the screen, could be the connectors, could be the cables, could be anything.
If the problem is a quick fix problem like a reboot then I don't see the point in asking HTC to do anything. If its a problem that is common, maybe every day then there is a point. If they can't find a problem, they can't fix it. They wont take your word for it unless they can confirm it. Parts cost money and they're not going to throw money away at the expense of customers words, otherwise everyone would be doing it.
Sent from CM7
The thing is that I even recorded while it was happening. And I did it because I knew there was a possibility they would not find nothing wrong with the phone. And it's not a quick fix problem, don't even know what caused it and made it stop (stock rom, factory reset, it was still happening).
Oh well, I guess I'll make another video as a proof and send it in again when the problem returns.
Thanks for the answer ^^
make sure auto brightness is disabled
cant u make them replace the screen somehow
Insureance ftw

Here, I've sent it in for repair again. By law, they have 45 day to repair it - if they don't, i get a new phone. The thing is, that if they don't find anything wrong with the phone (and they didn't find anything, as the problem appears once in a while), they have another 45 days if I send it in again.
Luckily, my mobile operator acknowledged my videos (can be seen: alenandrasic.com/desire.html) and gave them only 20 days to repair it, since it took them 25 days last time to find nothing.
So basically, I have to wait 15 more days. I guess i'm really unlucky, since i've been withouth my desire for 2.5 months in the 10 that i own it. Ah well, will post how it gets resolved ^^
Hi everyone,
I am a new LG G4 owner, bought it on June 7th. I am not a developer or anything like that, more an average phone user. So, don't get frustrated if I don't quite understand real technical jargon....
Anyway, I love the phone look, and feel, but on the 14th day of ownership, my phone started freezing half the screen. the left side freezes up and the right half continues to be able to be used...It started out not happening every time I opened the screen, now it happens every time, and in some cases the whole screen looks like it is just smeared together.
Anyone else having this problem, and are there any fixes...? I use my phone for business, and Sprint's crappy customer service tells me that I have to wait a couple of days for a new one to be ordered....Thanks.
Sounds like the phone is bad. You need a new one.
Thanks Maverick, Yeah, we figured that one out yesterday when the sprint techs looked at it...I was just wondering if there was anything that could temporally be done to work around that since the stupid policy that Sprint has is to not replace the phone on the spot after the 14th day, and that day is when this started....
Now I guess I have to wait. Oh well, I only use the phone for everything, including business....
LG G4
My phone is doing the exact same thing.....
Just started happening!!!
hey guys first post here so sorry if this is in the wrong place or something, ive been lurking this site ever since the S2X was new but decided to make an account now, anyway im a huge phone guy like im sure pretty much all of you are and ive had lots Z3,G3,Z2,S5,Note 3,OnePlus One, nexus 5 and a bunch of others anyway besides the point. i bought a G4 a couple months ago brand new from a local cell shop who i trust with all my stuff (its called wirelesswave) because they seen to know what there doing, and it has been extremely slow im not sure if i can post videos in here but it will completly freeze for minutes while doing something as simple as running facebook with a chat head open and dont even try to send a snapchat because that will completely lock it up and take like 1 minute to recover about 5 days ago i tried to do a reinstall and same problem ive tried everything im using nova launcher and animations are off and anything that would help performance is on/off and i uninstalled all the bloatware i could everybody tells me they love there G4 and its awesome but im just not seeing it i would just trade it for an S6 or something but ive spent way to my money on accessories and i dont want to loose all of them (many dbrand skins a 8500mAh zerolemon battery and like 5-6cases) the phone has been babied since purchase and was never even dropped once
my G3 was much faster so i have no idea what could be wrong, i tried to send it back but a bunch of new people started working at the place i bought it from and they refuse to send it back for me there complete dumb-asses they say that place dosent ship but the other worker told me they did the other day they told me to just send it myself and im thinking LG probably wont do anything with it anyway
other then being as slow as my S2X sometimes the other things that would happen are sometimes the camera would slow weird colors and another time it was really dim and both times i had to restart the camera app to fix.
what do you guys think?
Sounds like a hardware issue. You can send it to LG yourself (go to the LG support site and submit the issue), I did that with mine when it bricked itself (known issue with early units). It only took about a week round trip but expect to be without a device for up to two weeks.
Be sure to mention all the hardware issues.
