I have a Omnia 7, and today I realized that I now have a new icon for vibration. It is no longer the wave-shaped icon with the text "vibrate", but the sound icon with a stroke over it, and the text "silent".
Was this the only thing that got updated? Am I the only one?
I have no clue as to what firmware I used to have, but now I have the following
OS version: 7.0.7004.0
7004 is the current build m8, I still have the standard wavey vibrate icon on my phone (HTC HD7) so can't explain how yours is changed though.

You just have vibration OFF somehow.
The icon is like that when you turn off vibra.

The blinking icon at the top right corner worked OK on my Smartphones - along with the audio / vibration.
Are you sure you don't see the icon?

I believe the poster is referring to the "today screen" (home screen). The icon is not there on it, so you have no way of knowing if you have messages without going into another app first.
Hi i did a search using both the forums built in search and google but i still could not find an answer.
I noticed a tray icon popped up recently on my device, i don't think it's harmful or because of any newly installed application (all i have is PTTFix on it right now and a few registry tweaks) but i was still curious as to what it was.
The icon looks like "!" with a red circle that consists of an arrow.
Thank you in advance!
If it's the Icon I'm thinking of it is what I've been seeing as of late when I set my phone to silent or vibrate and I too have the PTTFix as well as a few other items including the HTC Home theme
I agree, that on mine it's the phone icon when it's set to silent or vibrate.
Yep that appears to be it, thanks for the heads up!
Can't seem to find anything in the wiki to remove it, seems like a redundant icon to have when the top bar clearly shows if the phone is on vibrate/silent.
Now you know what, how about why?
As standard, the phones don't go into Vibrate when you hold the Comm Manager button. This was an add on program by someone here (think Khypur, apologies if I'm wrong) and produced that tray icon when the phone's in Vibrate just to let you know. Since this program came out, it's been integrated into most people's ROMs, hence the icon when the phone's in Vibrate mode.
I personally agree that I'd prefer my ROM without the icon, but I'd also prefer my ROM with "holding Comm Manager button setting/unsetting Vibrate" so I'm quite happy putting up with the icon to get this!

A search would have led you to this.
That fix actually did not correct the issue, any other ideas?

Could post a Screen Shot?
Hey guys this icon keeps coming up in my notification bar. I have no idea what it is and the only way to make it go away is by restarting the phone. Nothing comes up in the actual notification tray. Help please!
Its the icon to the left of the "ATT" text

You turned off notifications.
That is the 'no notifications' notification.
I have also seen it when you ahve too many notifications on the notification bar..
I didn't turn off notifications. I was just watching a show on my phone then added a new widget, and the icon came up. How do I re-enable the notifications?
Im still getting notifications when I get a text, so I don't really know why it is saying that they are turned off. I have no other notifications showing
Pull down your menu bar, and hit the Notifications toggle.
Also, the icon for too many notifications does not have the line through it.
Line - notifications off
No line - too many notifications to fit in the menu bar

Im sorry man what notification toggle? In the quick access toggles I have Wifi, bluetooth, GPS, Sound, Screen Rotation, Mobile Data, Power Saving, Airplane Mode, and Sync.
Then it just says the date and that Wifi is connected. And when I pull down the notification bar the icon disappears.

On stock there is usually a toggle called 'Notification', so I'm not sure why you don't have it, unless you're running a custom ROM you haven't mentioned or your carrier modified this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt3vQTOI0eE

Weird. I dont have that. Just like the first comment with the guy from TMobile. I guess AT&T removed it? Odd though that I am still getting notifications. Ill just have to reboot I guess.
Got this phone 5 days ago. The first thing I noticed is I am not getting lockscreen notifications at all even when they are enabled. Does anyone else have this ?

did you set it to show all notification content? I couldn't find the setting for like two days myself. When you click the notifications tab and then click notifications management, there is a little gear icon on the top right side. go in there and make sure "show when device is locked is checked. I think mine was off by default

Yes, I already did that and notifications still won't show on lockscreen.
Edit: It was enabled by default. So, I turned it off and on again and rebooted phone. It seems to be working after that.
