There is a way to , just be patient, Ok try disabling usb connection in activesync or WMDC.. And try moving to another pc... Xp is better as it should work great....

I tried on my laptop and desktop both have XP, e shutdown the activesync.

Impossible to start the htc, i can only access bootloader mode, but ain't no more recognize by the pc, i tried to plug it to AC power as i thought of a battery prob, and still nothing, no start, and no led telling me that it's recharging...

Hi,
did you try to downgrade it to WM5? I also had problems with WM6 and after a downgrade to WM5 it worked again.
Cheers
Michael
sorry wrong thread.
well now when i connect it to my pc it says unknown device, so i dunno how to reflash to wm5
im on vista 64, and when i try to install the 64 driver it gave me on error about a corrupted driver...
Hi
I have the same problem, cannot recognize the usb port.
Anyone has an idea??
try changing your cable and if possible try using a xp machine. i have heard of people having problems when flashing with vista (i did it and no problems)
If after you change the cable, and use a differente computer the universal when you put it in bootloader mode and the word SERIAL does not change to USB i would say its pretty much bricked but if you only flashed your device i would say it is still possible to bring it back from death.
try changing your cable (specially if its the one you usually use) im almost sure thats your problem.
also make sure you dont have the sd card or the sim in it that seems to help too.
best regards and best of luck
Erik

Thats your problem! Vista is very shaky at best with flashing via USB on HTC devices.
Reflash to WM5 using the SDCard method.

Thanks for your advice, I have read it very carefully, but I don't get any response from my PC or device. I use Vista, is that perhaps a problem?
The device stay always on USB (on the top) and V1.00 (on the bottom)
Otherwise, when I started MTTY 1.24, it don't recognized USB, only COM 1, 2, 3.
My PC indicated USB connection, but not the device.
I can't quit the screen from the bootloader.
I am sure, I do something wrong. Please help me!!
Thanks
Vista is your problem, try it on Windows XP
to see USB on mtty, you need to uncheck the "allow USB connections" in activesync options
You can do it in Vista also

Problem with the usb connection

Hi,
I just bought a s620 that runs wm5, but when I try to connect it to my pcs with the usb cable nothing happens... as if the phone wasn't there at all.
I tried on 2 different computers with 2 different usb cables. The phone charges fine and connects on activesynch via bluetooth... I even tried to hard reset it but I had no luck
Is the phone faulty? Have you got any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks a lot.

You need to install ActiveSync into your PC before it can recognize your phone. Also try using a different USB cable.
I did that on both the computers I have

u said that u connected via bluetooth, u said the phone charges when pluged....so i think your activesync its not configurated with a USB connection OR your phone isnt configurated to allow a USB connection to Activesync.
check activesync in the phone and in the PC to ALLOW USB CONECTION
se ya

I followed the instructions on that thread, I get till the screen gets dark with the bt connection but then any ruu program obviously won't see the phone as it's not connected via usb. I even tried rebooting and getting in the manual bootloader after this but I kept getting the invalid certificate error, as if I didn't do anything at all.
Thanks for the help anyway.

You are running XP right on your computers and have access as administrator right? have you checked firewalls or antivirus settings that can be stopping the sync?? Reinstalling activesync?
Additionally, have you try on another computer with vista and WMDC?....I know vista is not as stable as XP, but I haven't had any issues so far with vista.

I tried on both xp and win7, my axim x30 is synching fine... so I don't think it's about settings.
The only option I have left at this point is the rom update I guess... if only it accepted the wm6 ones :/
Thanks.

Do you have administrator access to your laptop? If that is the case, try to boot your PC and see what happens.

Do you know which rom are U running on your mobile?. You can try a hard reset though or flash a stock rom to load all "factory" things in your dash.
Can also try reinstall active sync/wmdc also another usb lead.
