Just used the modmydiamond manual to upgrade to HardSPL 1.40 OliNex
But when i try and check by preforming a HardSPL the bootloader doesnt show:
Hard SPL 1.40.Olinex
DIAM100 MFG 64M
SPL-1.40.OliNex
Havn't been able too see what its says exactly
Edit: Just saw the xda manual have another textlines then modmydiamond that matches mine.
hi there...are you using the 1.93 rom? if it is...try upgrading to 2.03 official rom first...then u could flash hardspl...note that when it starts flashing..the screen will fade black slowly..then its being flashed...if it jumps to the 4 coloured bootloader...means its not working...good luck!

I try to flash the 1.35nbh but how come it still show SPL-1.40?
Before I flash the 1.35 hard SPL. I cant update the official rom..
So after flashing.. I can flash the Official 1.93.831.1 WWE.
So does that means my phone is back to the factory default where I can claim warranty???

you need to follow the instructions in the hard-spl thread to flash back (in other words, search properly please)
no, your phone is not at the default configuration. 1.40 is HARD-SPL.. not the SPL that came with your phone.

I saw that others were confused here but it seems that the file I needed was the 'top one' Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip
I downloaded that and ran the installation... during this installation it stated it was upgrading from 3.97 to 3.0 (or similar..)
Anyway on the multi colour screen it now says I have 3.0 olinex

when I run it it stays on the screen with the loading bar and eventually fails (error 262 update error).. the phone always reboots correctly

I tried to run this and again it all stopped at the status bar point at 0%
The phone recovered fine..
my multi colour screen now shows the following..

I know that a lot of people have put a lot of effort into developing these roms and I am gratefull.. but i am confused.
My phone works but i would like it to work at its optimum. The sheer amount of threads and files is a bit overwhelming.
Can someone explain simply (and directly) what i need here. or link me to the files I would need to sort this out.

I think you have to install an unsigned HARD SPL.
Olinex one is for SIGNED ROMS, so install HARD SPL 1.24
Yes , you need the unsigned HARD SPL v 1.40 by Olinex.
than you can flash every rom u want. good luck

this is typical of what confuses me though..
One reply says to get HARD SPL 1.24 and the other HARD SPL 1.40
I cant see the 1.40 version on here (A link to it would be wonderful) .. and when I tried to use the 1.24 version the phone again does nothing.. the status bar stays at 0% and I get the error

Hard-SPL 1.40 is what I used (as did a lot of other people). But the link is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=93362&d=1213719705. It is the Unsigned developer edition. After installing this, you should be able to flash any OS Rom or radio ROM you desire (for the diamond, that is). I'm trying to change the SPL from 1.40 Olinex to something else as I have found that since I change it to 1.40 any ROM that I put on my HTC Touch Diamond runs soooooo slow :-(
I have downloaded various diffrent SPL's but once I have run them to 100% then boot back to the multi coloured screen (not sure what the technical word is for that screen! hehe) It still shows that it is Olinex 1.40!!!
Anyone know why this is?

to change your spl you must do this with phone conected to activ sync (and not directly from 3 color bar)

I recently had my diamond return to me from HTC (screen repair) and as part of the normal process they flash the latest rom when they return the device.
Now i have the latest 2.03 rom and 2.03 SPL (did not know there was a 2.03 SPL)
Now for the problem..... I cant seem to flash to a hard SPL ie 1.24 or 1.40, i have tried them all and i have tried the manual method (no luck).
Prior to me sending off my diamond i had flashed the 1.24 spl with no issues.
I have looked all over the forum and i can't find any mention of a 2.03 SPL and i am wondering is this new SPL prevents you from flashing to any older/other SPL versions.
If any one has any ideas please help.

Yeah it is strange i had no idea there was a new one until i tried to flash and it shows spl 2.03 on the boot loader screen.
If someone knows how i can get a copy of this SPL off my device i will post it for all to look at.

You have to use SSPL.

y want to instal spl 2.03 to test a modified room
I've got a Diamond from orange(Diam100) and I want to flash it with a new fra rom; I have tried HardSPL 1.40/1.93 OliNex, using the RUU, and by loading the device into the bootloader manually from USB, using the Diamond-sspl.exe, but it blocked at "Loading...", "0%" and nothing at all. I can't figure out what i's wrong!
the original on is : spl-1.37.0000
i found some one did use SSPL and he had the same problem diam100 orange spl 1.37
but i don't know how i can do it ????
