XDA Orbit UK not starting after flash

My SPL was 3.0 .0001
with Artemis Touch 4.0 cool set
but wanted to upgrade it with new AnjaMossi V.1 and it was refusing flash after 3% and then tried to google and found Eddiee's (a forum member) hard spl flash where he was doing hard flash with bepe's arte folder by renaming os.nb with windows .nb
I did the same thing it seems worked but PPC hanged and i tried to restart the set and it complitely goes dead. now no LED no conncetion with PC via USB even bootloder also dosen't work. seems battary goes dead but I'm preety sure it's full.
something wrong with flashing, which i did for the 1st time in that way.... before that I did flashing severel times and it was ok.
any help highly apprichiated.

I would be inclined to leave it charging for a few hours first, eliminate the obvious. If not, are you sure you're entering the bootloader mode correctly? Hold power button and record button, hit the reset button and keep holding the two buttons for 10-15 seconds. That should work...

Hy, today i try upgrade rom for my diamond.. (today i prove 3 or 4 rom and all it's ok)
one hour ago, i use this rom, i take this rom in this forum but now i find not the post..
the name f rom is: ITA-Diamond-ROM-nushuth-0.4.2
ok i launch the upgrate and i waith to see 100%, after my ppc restart..
but the diamond stop in the screen where i can read " touch diamond R 1.00.25.05 / c 52.29.25.12H / d 1.37.00.00"
do you know what i can do?

Ok, do this:
1. Unplug the USB cable from the phone.
2. Hold down the Volume-down key and the Power button, then press (and let go of) the RESET button with your stylus.
3. When the tri-color screen appears, you can let go of the buttons.
4. The screen should say "Serial" at the bottom (in the gray color area).
5. Plug in the USB cable (The screen should change to "USB").
6. Run the RUU app on the PC to reflash your phone to a known good ROM.
That should get you back up and running.

I would try to do a hard reset before flashing ROM again.
If the hard reset does not work, then by all means, try a re-flash like describe d in the previous post.
Your device is certainly NOT dead. Re-flash with a good ROM will work. But since flash is always risky, try the hard reset first

Phone is freezing while starting

Hello,
I've just installed HardSPL succesfully, after that I wanted to install MightyRom 4.6, so I did. That went succesfully too according to my computer. Now when i want to switch the phone on, it keeps hanging with the T-Mobile picture on it. I've done a hard reset for several times and also a few soft resets. I also took my battery out for a few minutes, but when I switch it on, the same thing happens.
Please help me out of this !
Ps. sorry for my bad english !

for taking a little stress from your brain take an other rom - orig. rom from your provider.....
(go bootloder from pda; if your orig. rom only one *.exe-file you have to extract (winzip/winrar) it before flashing; connect usb (bootloader screen change from serial to usb); than flash)
but before you do this, how long you have to wait and look to your screen?
it can be sometimes a very long time until a windows-screen is coming.
if your pda gets hot than dont wait and flash asap new rom.
after 5 minutes waiting without any changes you have to flash an other rom.

I think I may have the same problem with my Diamond. I also installed MightyRom 4.6. Now, when I power up my phone, I get through the RGB stage to a white backdrop with instructions in blue to push volume button up for a reboot to manufacturers settings or push volume button down to reboot to manufacturers settings and wipe the movinand....after I select either one, when it gets to the HTC logo (HTC Diamond in white on a black background), it freezes. My pc won't recognise my phone when I plug it in...
Do I now have a really gorgeous paperweight or can I hold my Diamond to my ear again? Insight into my problem would be much appreciated.
By the way, XDA Dev rocks. Thanks to all who made this site possible.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my phone was a non-branded HTC running a Duttys rom. I did not want to get a DOPOD Diamond from China Mobile as they cost more and I dunno if they put Big Brother software in there.

do you have it in the boot loader before you plug it in to your pc?

My phone does not recognize my pc and vice versa. I tried plugging the phone in before booting it up. I tried while booting up. I tried at the white screen stage...nothing...help...
It also doesn't stay at the RGB screen for long...maybe 2 seconds...
Please break it to me gently if I have killed my HTC...I don't want to start drinking again...

My phone is a GSM Diamond. MightyRom 4.6 is for CDMA. If I combine the two(like I did) then am I screwed?
Can someone please give me some insight, please? I have been scouring the net for 3 days non stop now and my eyes are going to explode...
What is Jtag and can your average home user use it? Is it hardware or software...?
Cobbs: I assume when you say bootloader you mean something other than the RGB screen,,,cos as I stated in my first post, my phone does not stop on the RGB screen...

At the moment it's load perfectly, so after the program has finished the atualization, my phone make a soft reset(normal), So when wake up, and show's me a boot screen with (TOUCHdiamond) name on the screen, he freeze!!
I can't do nothing! It's stuck!? omg! people help me to resolve this!? I try up a new rom but isn't work cause the phone don't connect with windows to change or execute other program, cause the phone are stuck on boot screen!
Please!!! HELP ME TO RESOLVE!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Here's what you need to do:
Hold down the "Volume Down" button and press reset with the stylus. You will enter the Boot Loader. Now plug in your USB cable connecting it to you PC. On the bottom part of the screen (phone) you'll see USB. Now your PC recognizes the phone.
Start a ROM update through the RUU executable and flash your phone with a different ROM.

i have the same problem where my phone freezes at the boot screen, where it says touch diamond and thw orange writing in the corner. It was working fine, happened all of a sudden after i soft reset it, when the phone initally froze on an incoming call
Any suggestions?

just Change your ROM..,

hard reset is somthing i dont want to do. Is there any other option?

I think not. Don't know if you have a lot of apps installed after flashing. What you could do is find a ROM that's UC2/sUC compliant. If you create a folder structure on your internal storage like this:
ROOT > Backup and Restore > CAB > CABi
Put all the cabs you want on your device in the CAB folder and all the cabs you want on internal storage in CABi folder. After flashin and initial customization you will find yourself in User Customization (UC). It will state that it found a CAB folder, choose to install. After this it will state that it found a CABi folder, install as well. This reduces the effort of installing all apps after a hard-reset. As for messages, contacts e.g. I suggest you use PPCPimBackup.

Try flashing through bootloader. Press reset with stylus while holding volume down. After you're in the bootloader plugin USB cable and start flashing.

tried and didnt work. made it worst in fact :S
startet update trough bootloader, started, updated to 13% and then I was told the update didnt work with my device (or something similar, in norwegian). tried an older update, same problem... :/
when I now boot the phone I'm directly in bootloader, and with the funny message
DIAM100 65M
SPL-2.03.0000
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x30
Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again

ooh, news, suddenly its updating moore... after 5 tries it allways stopped at 13%, but now it up to 31% and going strong... will update..
edit2: going strong up to 33%....... wow... well its a start and Im going to try some more.
edit3; 7th time the charm it seems... 100% and all I had to do was sit REALLY still. and I actually downgraded from 2.03 to 1.93 or something... should note that on this point I have tried flashing it with the original 2.03 and 1.93 every other time...
edit4; aaaaand we're back at the TOUCH Diamond screen.
edit5; aaaand after a failed flash to wm 6.5 (stopped/didnt start at 0%)... the phone started... This MIGHT be a clue that I should NOT try to get wm6.5 to run... but that wont stop me
I dont know if anyone else will have the same problems, but atleast this was my way to the resolution

Before you try to flash anything other then a stock ROM, I suggest you take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
You need to have Hard-SPL flashed before flashing any custom ROM. My advice would be to use this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=93362&d=1213719705

On My New Diamond having 1.37 Asian HTC ROM i Flashed 1.93 Asian HTC ROM. It flashed successfully then after installing some programs i have done the soft reset after that It hangs on Operator (Airtel) Logo and my phone doesn't start. I have not installed
any Hard SPL.
I have done Vol.Down + Softreset button but nothing appears on screen.
I tried to Hard Reset but nothing Happens

Did you hold the volume down button while pressing reset? After pressing reset you should keep holding the volume down button until the tri-color bootscreen appears.

Phone Bricked?

Hi guys,
Just flashed a new version of EnergyROM. After flashing, the device is stuck in the screen "please wait while your device is being setup blablalbal".
The problem right now is, i cannot connect through active sync with my pc, so i'm not able to flash a stock Rom for instance over this rom. I have already done hard resets etc, nothing helps.
The only option is to flash a new ROM over this one, but i have to do it over active sync i guess, but i cannot connect

Yes, Correct...this is called the BootLoader mode. Congratts on making it work again!!

I had to find out the hard way how to use MTTY, almost bricked someone elses device... but got it back thanks to MTTY.
It's not as hard as it looks. Had to use it on my own device now too (flashed to many different ROMS), and all worked out well.
If you ever have any problems again, pm if you want...i'm dutch.
