[HELP] Dead iPAQ hx2110

Somebody please help me, i was trying to upgrade my hx2110 from WM2003SE to WM6,yeah it was my fault..i didn't follow the instruction very well... i was stupid, upgrading using SP29xxxx(2003 Update ROM from HP) then swap the NBF Files...upgrade complete, and now He's dead.. Pre-BL still works, but i have no luck to reflash, HPRUU flashing stop at 0.1% and it says "Congratulation...blaa..blaa" but nothing happened to my hx2110..i used to read the step to unbrick hx2110, but i don't have another iPAQ hx2000 series to do the trick..is there any other way to un-brick my iPAQ ? please help...sorry for my bad english...

well, you are sure that you are setting it into pre-bl the way you are supposed to? (it will say USB in the bottom left corner, not usb is connected) and you have deleted the whole ipaq folder off of your hard drive and (C:/ipaq) and run that service pack again right?

Yes, i pressed Calendar button to activate USB Mode, not USB Connected..but, still it doesn't fix the problem..

sorry for being afk right now but I'm out and about (im posting this from my treo). you should take a look at the chrismrulz bootloader. its supposed to help when nothing else can. I'm surprised that the pre-bl isn't helping you fix you problem.
edit: i'll take a look tonight and see what I can do about helping you get your device up. if anyone else has any ideas, feel free to post
edit 2: I took a look around for ideas and the only one that still seems viable is grabbing another ipaq (either borrowing one from a friend or paying $10-40 on ebay and getting one you can hold onto for parts). good luck with your pda and next time don't let your excitement get in the way of methodically reading and executing the instructions. I would offer to lend my 2495 but I'm in orlando, florida usa

It doen't detect Model ID and ROM but, this HPRUU allow me to flash...
The Process stops at 0.1% but, the flasher lies to me it said "Congratulation..bla..bla..bla"
and this is what happened if i'm using another ROM files such as SP33303,4PDA.RU ROM,and the others...
Wrong Language, Not Connected to ActiveSync,etc.
hmm...trying to borrow another hx2000 series, but who? almost everyone in my country using PDAPhone, rarely uses PDAOnly..any plan to sell it Mr.Contra? or maybe you'll send it to me as a birthday present ? hehehe... just kidding...This is the first time i'm using Windows Mobile Based PDA's very love it..but i killed it...

i always run all of my updates from 'white screen bootloader' aka pre-bl. hmm... that's a very interesting screenshot. is it charging the battery still when you plug it into the dock... also make sure that after it says pre-bl and you put it in the cradle that you hit the calendar button so that it goes from usb is connected to usb. also, do you have a power adapter hooked up to your dock or are you trying to do it just over USB?
as far as trying mtty, if you want to try it in a really easy form try chrismrulz' bootloader. here is the download link for it. it prepares your rom and then uses mtty to upload to your device. make sure to turn off activesync on your computer (right click on the greyed-out icon and go to options and deactivate almost all of them). then you take that, plus your original firmware rom and put it on a folder on your hard drive with no spaces in the path (i put mine in C:/bootloader). you then run bootloader.exe and just let it do it's thing. I don't click on any of the pop-ups, other than to show it where the rom is. I hope this works for you

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I've made it, now my hx2110 running WM6 4PDA Version!!! Here's the step :
1.) Download SP29795.EXE from :

ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp29501-30000/SP29795.exe
2.) Flash it using SP2975 RUU, it will flash your bricked iPAQ into WM2003SE 1.00.14
3.) Oops, flash completed..but some error has been occured..it won't enter WM2003SE
4.) Don't panic, reflash your iPAQ using SP29795 RUU, but swap the NBF From SP29865.exe

5.) Start flashing, after finished..voila! WM2003SE 1.10.09 should works..

7.Finished

after the upgrading with different type of mobile Rom , the mobile was unable to turn on . i just see the black screen without anything .. i try to restart it but still black screen .. when i try to connect it via USB my Windows wouldn't recognize the mobile ..

have you tried to boot into bootloader mode and reflash an o2 rom from there?
(can be found on the ftp )

what do you mean by bootloader mode , if you mean to press the two butoons to format the phone and install new one , then yes i tried it many times but nothings comes in the screen just black screen and sometime i have seen a version number like v1.0 ..
do you have the original ROM from the o2 via ftp ? post it please ..

You should take a kook at the wiki. There's a link at the top of the page.
Bootloader mode is accessed by pressing backlight, power and reset and there is no backlight, so take a close look...

EvilJogga i did that many times but nothings change just black screen with above USB written and bellow v2.10 .. just like this ..

means you can reflash etc.

did you CID unlock your device?
if so then i suggest installing ranjus v7.4 or similar if not get the original o2 rom from the ftp and extract it, in there it will have the application to run
it wont try to flash unless it can recognise the device so have a play around
i had to replace all the original flashing utilities with the "unsafe" MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
as mine kept failing with the other :S
however i got your problem once, edited ranjus to include that utility and run it.
if that made sense?

let me know how it goes

i installed the original ROM , when I finish the ROM processer said i have to disconnect from usb then open it ... I have been try it many times I got a message on my mobile with white screen and black written said "
press 0 to restore
factory default
press x to exit "
When I press 0 or x it comes screen with different color such as red, black and green. I have been waiting up to 30 mints put nothing change.
I tried it many times with different preening from 0 to x but still the same.
I thought I have to install the upgrade when i connect to the pc it didn't recognize the mobile.
I am sorry to bothering you guys.

what utility did you use to boot?
and leave the screen open whilst booting (it shows a percentage on the screen )
and press 0 when it prompts that

Hi kingsizeriz , i used the O2 Xda Exec Launch ROM v113139 ROM.
I did as you said, but i didn't see the percentage on my screen. I was waiting for the restore then I pressed 0 but nothing change. Then I wafting now for 1 day and the mobile in the charger but nothing change just screen with mixed colors

Hi,
iMate ultimate devices ROM are locked. Since I threw out the box (with the unlock code) a long time ago, I am looking to cook a 6.1 ROM for my device.
I would be thankful for any beginner pointers ...

i downloaded i-mate's latest ROM update from www.imate.com, but i unlocked my extrom when i installed my call and sms blocker app a few weeks back. now when i try to run the rom update exe, it's just stucked up on "Checking for driver ... " and forever running without anything happening.
does anyone of the "xda gurus" out here knows a workaround how to go about upgrading an i-mate unlocked rom? my 6150 is WM6.0 and my main problem now is that my phone is hanging after more than 4 minutes of incoming or outgoing call, that's why i want to upgrade to WM6.1 hoping it would make some change
any suggestion and or advice is heartily welcome. thanx

I think you should hard-reset your device before you upgrade it with new ROM.

Manging on 'Checking for Driver'
I have the same problem. I've flashed a lot of phones and this ROM Update is a failure. I asked for help from i-Mate and they could not assist. This happens under Vista or XP and this is with a brand new phone direct from Mobile Planet. (unlocked of course)
Would appreciate it if there were any suggestions that anyone might help with.

searching for driver problem
Good day but the problem with the searching for drivers is a pc issue i use to have that problem went to a friend who is using vista and it flashed then when i try my laptop it would not recognize it still so what i did was installing windows xp professional afresh and that solved the problem

ive already upgraded my Ultimate 8150 to wm6.1 and im quite satisfied with the speed, it increased a little, and as for the other updates....disappointed!
with regards to your problems, have you checked your activesync connection? should be synchronized. then check if after you hard reset, i forgot how to hard reset manually, i think its holding the power, ok and reset or power, cam, and reset...you can also do it automatically using the reset to factory setting..

by d way, anyone here knows how to UNHIDE/UNLOCK the extension ROM of Ultimates? specifically 8150? have tried to unhide it using htc methods but no success....suggestions?

Samsung i780 PDA ok PHONE not ok!?

Can anybody help i have i780 and there was WM6.5 23412 and i tried to update it to 23420 or 23071 but with both of these rom i got problem with flashing PHONE with mirage but failing in 50-70 % depending the size of rom..
I have had done it before to and no problems wasnt then ,and right know i have only pda functions and in the version button in settings there is only PDA number PHONE is blank,
using windows 7 and virtual windows xp!
Can anybody tell what may go wrong?
I have tried different things but neither on them working!

Man, just realised what are you doing.
You are trying to flash PDA part to PHONE
All ROM's that are cooked are only PDA part!
PHONE part stills untouch!
You have now to reflash PDA and PHONE from offical samsung firmware.
After that you flash ONLY PDA part from any new version found here.
Good luck!

Just for case:I just say that with wm6.5 all was working probably. after ja try phone side was writing filed , last thing what i was tried was PDA side over flash in it worked! BUT PHONE side of mirage fail writing!

Ah thats simple. To flash phone part flasher changes usb state to cdma modem driver. So u need to install it first.

Man you make me smiling! I wrote about this mistake before!
Look where you have to flash new ROM's - it"s PDA part (not PHONE)
So now phone part is wrong, because you have flash it with pda bin.
Make nwo next procedure:
Open in "PDA" : WM6.5.. ..bin
Open in "Phone": phone.bin (find download link below)
Flash! After first boot make hard reset.

I had the same Problem i had already flashed Samsung Official rom at the end But fails to write the Phone with official .bin for phone..its giving error at Exactly 50%..

I think there is some serious problem with the flashing part or the tool ...
may be the new version of Multi Downloader has any option to revive the Phone ..

Try some solutions:
1. download with phone part from (link I provided before).

Reinstall drivers. Connect USB to rear of PC not front. retry

[Q] diamond restarting problem

my diamond restarts randomly feew times a day.can anyone help

did you install any ROMs recently or is this a second hand device.
please go to start menu > settings > system > device information
type here all the details you see in device information
also reset your device with stylus and keep holding down the volume key.
give all the details you see in the Red Green Blue screen
to go back to your windows, simply reset again..

after pressing vol down +reset red green blue screen apears for very short period, after that screen turns blue. trigger host usb apears on blue screen

you shud actually reset with stylus and LET GO...but keep pressing volume down key...until RGB screen appears

i have instaled new rom recently but this problem apeeared before that

did you do mtty step before you installed any rom?

this is a know problem with diamond flashes withour erasing the entire flash block. you may experience freezes, hangups, reboots...
the mtty method helps to clear this flash block entirely, when a task 29 is done before each flash

Its okay. Take your time. So i see you have Hard SPL 1.40, which is good. Means you have flashed roms.
This is exactly what i meant. I dont think you have checked about what "mi-t-ty" is all about.
Like i said, mtty procedure is a procedure which needs to be done, to save yourself from problems like you are having now.
mtty is actually a program which shud be run from your PC. you put ur device in bootloader mode and perform a task 29.
when you do this, ur entire flash block on the diamond will be slate CLEAN.
you shud try it. i m sure it wil save ur device from restarts. this has been proven all over the forum.
btw whats the rom ur using now?

If you are having a hard time running mtty or cant perform the task 29, let me know.

do you have some reccomendations about roms

i personally dont carry any roms that have sense 2.1 or sense 2.5 and neither TF3D 2.1
call me old fashioned. but i like to be able to run multiple apps without the message "out of memory" which you wud experience on these said roms.
but i do recommend GEN.Y Sense 2.1 ROM. Its pretty stable. And a recent one with TF3D 2.1 is paki's rom is one i like too.

okay lemme make ur job easier.
1. the flash block is going to be cleaned. so your rom file be wiped out.
2. you can flash the same rom after doing mtty (task 29)
AS i said above. Lets make ur job easier. No need to install mtty or do task 29 from PC. Here is a shortcut method.
*Download the attached file. Extract it anywhere you want. I recommend C:\
you wil see two files inside Task29 folder
FlashRUU.exe
preflash.nbh
now extract the BsB rom file anywhere. copy the ruu_signed.nbh or diamimg.nbh from bsb extract and paste into Task29 folder
now there shud be 3 files in Task29 folder
FlashRUU.exe
preflash.nbh
ruu_signed.nbh < ------ bsb rom file or any other rom file
run FlashRUU.exe and follow on screen instructions.
***Note: Credits to etoy for the task 29 FlashRUU. i took this from his kitchen***
