botched rom update

hi all,
I was upgrading my tmobile's rom to 6.1 when all of a sudden, the USB cable seemed to disconnect. I did the instructions on screen to enter recovery mode but it just shut off after like 7% updating. now, whenever I turn my dash on, it just displays the HTC logo and doesn't advance at all. Can anyone help? Thanks.
bootloader mode
incidentally, how do I enter into bootloader mode from a powered down dash?
Okay here are the steps.
1) First take out the battery and keep it out for about 10 seconds.
2) Place the battery back in
3) Hold the sym (camera button) down for like 5 seconds
4) While still holding the button down plug the usb cord in.
5) Now you should see a tri colored screen
6) Upload the phones "official rom." Official roms could be found below in my signature. Official rom is the rom the phone came with originally. For example if you have T-Mobile then you will download the T-Mobile rom.
7) Once you get the rom going, you can then upload to the new 6.1 rom (rom found below again).
8) Let me know if this works.
jdoggraz,
thanks for your help, i tried it, but it somehow auto-shuts down at 3%, I'm thinking it's because I'm using winxp on parallels desktop off of a mac. i will try to reformat my laptop and install winxp from there and see if it works. wish me luck!

Yah that is the problem, install winxp directly and it should work.
Thanks for the help dude. I never got to install winxp. Although in the process, I've managed to dual boot my HP laptop with Leopard and Vista. It's working now. I've just been so used to using my TytnII before where you could simply cid unlock it with a program and install any rom you want. it's a little bit different here with the Dash but, all's well.
Thanks.
Oh well I am happy that you got it working...

I'm stuck here and I need help to resolve this problem.
I'm a noob and I tried to flash my HTC Touch Pro 2 SPRINT with the Rhodium-HardSPL_V1_10_R3 after reading some threads on how to do that now.
But it didn't work kept on displaying Connection Error.I tried so many times but it didn't work out. Then I tried using the SSPL Manual as alternative.
I extracted and copied it to my device ( can't remember if my device was still plugged to my PC or not) and then ran the program.
My device went blank screen and I waited for some time and it didn't come on ( I waited patiently).
when nothing happened,I then removed the battery and tried hard resetting but it won't still come on.
Now,I cannot synchronized my device with my PC because it kept requesting for driver software for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM (guess it no longer recognized my device) and my phone won't come. So I can't complete the flash.
Please I need help to resolve this problem...I have been a little unfortunate with HTC phones nd I need this to work.
I'm new here and will appreciate the help.

the blank screen is fine.
you have a USB driver issue.
reinstall activesync if you are on XP, or windows mobile device center if you are on vista or windows 7.

My G3 D855 won't boot

I'm rooted and have made a have few changes to my phone in general, but now it won't start up. It gets past the LG logo but then gets stuck at a black screen with the LED's cycling colours.
I've tried to factory reset it but it still gets stuck at the black screen. How do I fix this?
I has this a few days ago.
To fix it you will need LG mobile drivers and LG PC Suite installed.
Power off your G3. Then start it in download mode by holding the volume down button and connect a USB cable to your phone. The screen should show download mode. Connect your phone to your computer and start LG PC Suite. Don't worry if PC Suite doesn't recognise your G3. Go to the mobile device menu and select restore upgrade errors. PC Suite should download the latest firmware and install it. You will be back to a factory reset but your G3 will be working again ☺

I tried to fix the update errors but it said this update is not supported by Mac OS. I don't have a windows PC to use so what can I do now?
I don't have a Mac so not sure if this will work but search the G3 forums for advice on flashing a .kdz firmware directly to your phone. Make sure you find a .kdz that matches your G3 variant i.e. 16 or 32gb. Sorry but don't know if there is a Mac tool to do this. Good luck.

Thanks, Ill check that link out.
I'm finally on a PC and went into download mode but now my phones stuck at 0% doing a firmware update. It says don't disconnect the USB until the process is complete but I think I'm going to have to
When I did click fix software errors it said there were no errors to fix but I don't think I have all the drivers installed yet.
When I try go to download mode it keeps taking me to the firmware update screen and stays at 0%. Also the drivers aren't fully installing on this computer for some reason.

Install the LG united mobile driver first then LG PC Suite. Might be useful to reboot the Windows machine after that. Try having PC Suite running when you connect your G3. PC Suite might nag you about being unable to connect to your G3. Just cancel that and select restore upgrade errors. PC Suite should download the latest firmware before it flashes it to your phone. Check that your G3 is in download mode before you connect it to the Windows machine.
I'm assuming you've checked obvious things like turning off any firewall software that might block outgoing connections...

Tried those things too...for some reason the pc could only download 2 out of 4 drivers. Also my phone wont let me stay on the download mode screen. It comes up for around 2 seconds then just goes to a firmware update screen.

There are drivers and PC Suite for Mac on the LG website. That was all I needed to recover my G3 on my PC. I would try installing the unified drivers and PC Suite again. Start up PC Suite. Put your G3 in download mode and connect it to your Mac.
If that doesn't work and the unified drivers and PC Suite won't install on your friends Windows machine then I would run chkdsk and the system file checker.

I've got the drivers and PC suite for mac but anytime I try to 'fix update errors' a message comes up saying 'cannot run updating. Check device status and retry'. Then when I update the suite to the latest version, the 'fix update errors' option disappears from the menu. Ok I'll try those out on my friends PC when I have the chance.
