So i installed Hard SPL and i'm trying to install "SWIFTBL WWE DIAMOND ROM V5.0" but when i try to install it, it goes to the tri colour screen and then goes to the upgrading screen(?) but it gets stuck at 0 and later tells me that it's not connected to usb? can someone help me out please
I first flashed with Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip

Never had the prob myself but there are dozens of posts asking the same question. check modmydiamond.com. I believe there is a FAQ answering your question.

Read all and have started this cause nothing works as yet.
The only ROM to flash is the Offical WM6 but it sticks at 28% everytime.
Here's what the screen shows.
TRIN100
IPL-1.00
TRIN100
SPL-9.99.CP
Not even detected in Activesync or Windows Mobile centre.
Can you guys help me.
PS tried SD method but does nothing, soft reset and hard do nothing and old AX3L ROM wont even start as well as HARDSPL SSPL CID Unlock and I mean everything.
Do I have to get someone, eg pay, to get it fixed???

Go back to your Original WM5 Rom First. Then flash again using SSPL-Trin.exe

Well tried to flash WM5 ROM (Original that was on my 810 prior to cooked ROM) however it still comes up with the data connection error and can't find my Dopod. Maybe all the information is too much in the forum cause I have read all my friend. I would absolutely love you to simplify it a bit for an honest and humble noob that would be great......
Nothing flashes cause im stuck in the tri colur screen.

give some more details of what's displayed on tri colored screen..
next time it gives connection error, just restart the updater (with device still connected).

You have provided me with the most honest feedback and I thankyou. It would now appread that the original ROM WM5 1.23.707.6 for AUS was not able to flash on VISTA however I just started it on XP so finger crossed.
Now when its all good, lol, I need to re-read what needs to be done with the new WM6 update prior to flashing it. Can you give me your clear guidance.... SSPL or HardSPL?

to flash WM6 ROM, please follow the instructions at my site here
this will give you basic instructions on flashing it. once you get ready to flash the ROM, you can look at the upgrade guide on the site for picture by picture steps to upgrade.. hope it helps

It stuck to a color screen with 4 rows of text.

Try to flash the orriginal WM5 rom.
Thank both of you for the answers. I tried hard spl and xplot but nothing really happened. Then i realize that i can find original rom and reflash it ... it is ok now.
I've have the device for only 2 days and i crashed it ... it was scary
I think i'm gonna wait for the official htc release of WM6.

If you actually read and follow directions it is very simple.
Hard Spl > Radio (If Needed) > ROM

Place manualspl.exe on to the root of the diamond.Run it(your screen will go back! After this, you should run the hardspl.
After it is finished, you should be able to install any rom...

plzz help me guyz...i have downloaded the hardspl thing and ive run the ruu ...it showed that the upgrade is successful...my phone got reset in sometime...but it gets stuck in the screen alignment step..the screen alignment repeats itself....the phone doest start...plzz help guyz...i m in need of u ppl

I don't think you need to use MTTY to flash hard-spl only?
habriz: Try doing a hard reset and see if it still repeats.
Did you unlock your device before trying to flash hard-spl?

@ Joebi: he's saying that the unlock was successful! when he tryed to change for another rom, this stucks on the alignement screen, so i guess he has to format his phone with task 29, i was just trying to help him....
whatever, Habriz, when you're in bootloader mode (when the screen is in colorful stripes: red, green, blue, white) is it written somewhere: <<security unlocked>> and/or <<spl-1.93.olinex>> ? if it is, your phone is unlocked!
Hi I have and IMATE PDA2k EVDO and I tried a d-two rom and I now have the device sitting on the 4 color screen every time I reset it. Any idea how I reset it back to defaults so I can load another image onto it, I have the original image. any advice would be appreciated.

Actually I just fixed it.
Anyone know of any WM5,6 or 6.5 roms that work on this phone. The EVDO network is dead here in Australia so I just want to convert it into a PDA.
For the love of God... if you are going to make a thread saying "Hey guys, I broke this, how do I fix it?" Do not EVER update with "I fixed it!" without telling us HOW you fixed it.
I thought it was such simple fix it did not requiere explaination. To enter the bootloader you do the following
Press Power + record (above the volume slider) + softreset at the same time.
This puts it into the load mode so you can reflash.

hi nid help... i followed the instruction on how to upgrade my ppc but it seems that the download link for win 6 does not exist anymore and now im stock in the boot loader i think the screen only shows "serial and below shows v2.07" i cant use my phone anymore i tried to reset it and emove the battery but stil it only shows serial... hope you can help me guys tnx...godbless

Yea so did anyone figure out this whole problem with the white boot loader screen? I'm no where near a programmer or anything but I think my boot loader version is out dated. My HARRIER, not blue angel, is stuck at a white screen that reads Serial(USB when connected to usb of course) and v1.02. I've had a Harrier before this and it had the four color screen for boot loader. Am I on to something here?
Oh btw I already tried to reflash the rom over and over but updater keeps saying it can't connect.
