1.if use Calendar+ ,active can't show, so just amend the reg today> item >Calendar
inside delete the Order value and enable , in this today screen will not show
and can show in active.
2.for restore ,the O2 final rom1.72 can use back the old xbackup file,just
restore the old xbackup, and open the extend rom ,install the new cab file
one by one, you can get all the function fm the new rom ,include Acive , new
PDF PPT viewer.

No. There's no news on whether O2 (or any operator, I guess) will be bringing out a ROM to include WM2003 SE.

Can you put her the 1.72.181 extended ROM CABs?

Yes it should be OK. Your main problem would be to do with setting up the Blackberry stuff with the service provider.

If the new ROM upgrade is country dependent, I mean for the radio version. I do not see this upgrade available thru Hong Kong Support site.
Does anyone try the Voice dial and Truefax function after the upgrade ? Are they good ?

The download link is broken for some reason. Whenever I click on it, I get a page cannot be displayed error. Tested with Netscape, Mozilla and Micro$hit Exploder 6.x.
Is it a browser setting issue ?

XDA2 locks up with new ROM upgrade
Me and colleagues at work have all had problems with the XDA 2 locking up. We all upgraded to O2s latest and final ROM release that became available in Nov 2004. The screen goes blank and sometime the power button is lit, sometimes not. Soft reset does nothing - the only way to get the device to do anything is to hard reset at which point you get a working phone again but have lost all data and any problems loaded. Also, once reset, backup does not fully restore the full configuration, there are a number of files that can not be restored at all.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to upgrade firmware but I have a little fear
May I download the new firmware from 02 (1.72.187) or I have to use something else? I'm using the XDA in Italy (if it's useful)

New Unversal ROM T-Mobile Germany with AKU2

T-Mobile Germany has released a new ROM (AKU2-Update). I Have Uploaded it to the ftp-Server (Filename: TMOB_DEU_pro_aku2.0_05-2006.zip).
Works fine with my MDA Pro. AKU2 works with Exchange and the speed (I think) its faster.
I have no problems.
ROM Version: 1.30.113 GER
ROM Datum: 04/13/2006
Radio Version: 1.10.03
Protokoll-version: 42.44.P8
ExtRom-version: 1.30.223 GER

Yes, it supports A2DP .... I have tested it!

BE CAREFUL - NEW BOOTLOADER
If you are waiting for an unlocking solution, DO NOT DO THIS UPGRADE. It contains a new version of the Universal Bootloader, which could make unlocking in the future impossible.

No, the Roms normally only contain one language at a time. Unfortunately you have to wait for the english one to be released. But once the german one is released, all other language versions should come very shortly.

skip bootloader-upgrade
I wonder whether it is possible to skip the bootloader-upgrade (bl.nbf) and just load the OS & EXTROM.
Anyone have an idea if this will harm the operation/stability of the device?

Start Update without connecting your Device and loook into your Temp Directory, there is a new EXE-File - copy to somewhere, stop the Update and run this new EXE!
The new ROM looks fine but
- how do I get back the Wireless-Tab on Today-Screen
- how do I get back the original (green and blue) DialPad-Skin
- can I reconfigure the T-Mobile Today-PlugIn

"Benutzer" is the Account you are logged in
pftxx.tmp -> xx is changing everytime you run the update...

...or just extract the .EXE file with Winrar (in fact it's an archive with some program stuffed in front of it).

Definietely not. T-Mobile says on the download page (in German) that an AKU2 upgrade which is compatible with BB will be out in July.

Hello there,
installed the update 2 days ago - everything was working fine, surfing around, testing A2DP, WLAN, etc.
...but since yesterday i can not connect to the internet aymore.
It dials in via UMTS/GPRS, connects but nothing more. MyIpConfig.exe says:
Adapter Address: 00:00:00:00:00:00
IP Address: 172.21.30.136
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 172.21.30.136 <-?? the device itself is the default gateway??
DNS-Servers: 193.254.160.130
193.254.160.1
...rest is empty

Has anyone from germany a clou why/if these settings are incorrect? Anyone else the same problem?
Can someone not using aku2 post his network-settings when dialed in?
I tried reinstalling update and resetting device several times, when updating setup leaves information about currently installed versions of radio, ce and rom empty...is this the usual way?

got it now working. The Problem was the germen resellerdebitel, who changed the dns-IP. Very kind of them don't telling anyone about the changes.

I just unlocked my Universal and now I'd like to upgrade my rom to the new T-Mobile rom because mine is from August last year. So my question is: will the phone still be unlocked after the reflash - if not can I reunlock it?
Is there any easy rom extractor available?

I did the upgrade, and my phone stays unlocked. So go on and have fun, the new ROM ist GREAT Added Dopod's Radio 1.11.0, seems to consume less battery now, and now I have UMTS in my living room (which I did not have with Radio 1.6.0)

D810 WM6 always miss internet mail box

I'd tryed some ROM of D810 included official version.But all version have same problem that is miss internet mail box setting when reset or down.why?Maybe the WM6's problem?

I'd success used the software but missed again for one day and some reset.I run the software again and success again.I don't how long it can alive.

1.I set the software COM0 or COM5,and hardware COM9;
2.I use gpsgate2.5 to serch the setting.But gpsgate can't finish auto-setting,it dispaly:No GPS Found;
3.I set manually,COM9 as input and COM2,COM4,COM8 can be found as output.But the input always red and display "no data coming,running is OK!"
4.I'd tryed almost all the baudrate i can set in COM9 but no any success;
5.I used GPSview to serch the port but there are no any COM can be found and no any star can be found

What is ur radio rom version? If it's ending with "00", then may be that is the problem. Try to reflash ur device with any radio rom ending with "11" and see the difference.

I'd finished two times flashing.The old radio version which GPS not work is 1.16.00.00,the new one which GPS can work is 1.48.00.11.i reflash back to the oo one when I flashed the 11 one.The Gps go back and not work again.But the problem is another D810 from the 11 version to the 00 version which it's GPS work perfectly,no any problrm.the procedure is full same.it's so strange that I can't understand.

The 11version is a simply chinese version but based on a traditional chinese version.it's a not pure version and so many bugs.I like a English version but the offical version is too old and also have some conflict in the chinese input method with keyboard input.So I look for a pure and new English version.the udk6.0 is my choice which have no input problem but met the GPS problem.Is there any another English version can match my requirements?

I experienced these before and I thought is MSN problem,
actually is your auto config software problem and I did try.
If u just formatted the rom, use USB or wifi it works...
I use mannual input data and works well.
Please test these again, let data try last thing.

Just installed many program and optimize it .... too bad, if there any other method rather than hard-rest ?
I already retry the auto-config in operator setting and manual enter the AP but it doesn't work

This is what I tested and concluded, thats why from now on I dont use auto config.

I think this build of ROM have BUG on AUTO-CONFIG.

Guys, why is everyone talking about port splitter ...? I've NEVER used any 3rd party app to get GPS up and running
TT7, GARMIN, IGO8, GPSTUNER, Sygic McGUIDER - all worked on EVERY stock ROM I've had (DXHC4+), including ALL modded EFN ROM's.. and I've always used COM8, 4800 baud..

me too...never understood what's this about?
all i had to do is to update the COM port to COM8 in GPS setup.

ried to update the phone part only.. flashing kept hanging in 57%.. hmm hope I can flash my phone part again..

I did the same thing (update of the phone part only) successfully.
Phone Firmware version is now DXHH1,
PDA is DXHE1 (EF 3.4U)

May I ask why some ppl just want to upgrade the PDA section only but not whole part?

I flashed with EBOOT + PDA + PHONE and didn't found any problem.
BTW, the HARD RESET LOGO was coming back after flashed to HH1 comparing with HE1.
