I wanted to upgrade ranju wm6.
Something went wrong and now my device will not start up.
In bootloader mode I can see Serial v1.01
I tried the MTTY (1.6), but can't see a USB port. Even after killing m........exe on host PC.
That only adds an additional port(not comm), but still no USB port.
Therefor can't execute: set 14 0
Please help!!!!!
Would like to go back to WM5 (qtek rom)
Best regards
Exactly the same problem
Hi Guys ,
I got exactly the same problem. Stuck in the bootloader and nothing works anymore. Not even the MTTY tool....
Hopefully someone could help us.

Same Here..
Stuck in bootloader screen after upgrading to ranju's 7.7
that makes three of us.
When I try to enter bootloader is asks me to enter 0 to hard reset?
!
I also got stuck the same way.
solutions given are not working! any other solution?
Same here,
Maybe i've overlooked the universal version.
I understood that the ranju 7.7 is only for the G3 and G4.
Aperently there are more versions of the universal. Where is the version number on my universal? I bought mine as the qtek 9000.
How do you flash the universal when it doesn't boot anymore?
Thnx
Trying to solve the problem I found this:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_Stuck_Bootloader
My device seems to have been fixed.
After flashing Ranju 7.7 it took 6 times to align the screen but it is working now.
I will report here if anything terrible has happend , so far so good
Nope
It's not working! All tried...
USB device not recoganised! so first two steps are out!
3rd not working
checked another (correct) Universal
Hi Guys,
indeed I haven't been able to select the USB port in the MTTY tool. But when I try my old phone - a working universal (with broken sound) - I neither make contact with the USB port. So could it be that my laptop has something wrong?
cheers

Hi
Just using the original cable and on another computer it worked
difference between Cables
Hi ,
good to hear that you have fixed your universal. What is the main difference between the original cable and a normal usb cable. And how do I recognise both?
Hope to unbrick mines soon.
cheers
Finally it worked
Hi all,
Indeed when using another cable I got my dearest universal back.
So indeed using another cable can help a lot.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
cheers

Anyone know how to get the phone out of a mode with a blank screen with the words "Serial V1.00" written on it.
I've tried a hard and soft reset on it, and running the upgrade again. No luck
I realise that there's probably a FAQ which covers this, but haven't been able to locate it on this site yet.
thanks in advance!
Thats an indication that it is now in Bootloader mode. You need to re-install the ROM.
UD.
It sounds plausible that I am stuck in bootloader mode. How do I get out of bookloader mode?
Its the USB cable that I'm using to try and flash the device. I've not tried a couple of ROM upgrade programs from different suppliers, but I keep getting a "connection error 101".
thanks in advance

Remove all cards (SIM + SD) from your device.
Run the update

You can reload from the bootloader mode. The problem you have faced is often due to a defective USB cable. Please direcly connect to the original USB cable (not through hub). Before connecting open active sync on desktop go to File/Connecting and uncheck allow usb connection check box.

My Universal is dead, will only get into bootloader when plugged into the mains, not usb.
Any ideas?
Hi, I am new to the world of MDA and have recently tried to upgrade using JASJAR_WWE_11353_137_10301 rom but now my phone is stuck (i think it is the bootloader" it says serial on top and changes to usb when i connect it to my cradle. After reading a couple of posts i was able to upload it with the same rom but instead of using ROMUgradeUT i used MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe but after it was still on the bootloader screen even though it had upgraded. If anyone can help me i will appreciate it.
Try other ROM
Hy !
If You see the loader, You may try to load an other ROM.
For me, it worked smotthly after using an other computer (a laptop). The USB link may be a source of problems too . ..
I used UniversalRUU with a thingonaspring build: worked fine. Good luck !

My HTC Wizard (Cingular 8125) is stuck in the bootloader mode. I had successfully flashed a new rom, and all was well until it started shutting down. After a couple of hard resets with no change, I tried to put it in bootloader mode to flash a downgraded rom. Now I can only get to the bootloader screen and the usb connection is not recognized by the computer or the device. Any suggestions?

I have a useless suggestion, just to keep this problem at the top of the list so you find help:
First, try using a different USB port on your computer. Maybe the one you're using fried, or perhaps for some reason the device is just not getting enough powre through it. Try one of the ports on the back of your computer, directly connected to the motherboard. I assume the USB port you're currently using is the one you always use, so this probably won't help at all. But worth a shot.
Also, have you posted this problem in the device specific forum? Someone there might be of more assistance.
