Hi,
I'm running on Schap's 3.54 ROM.
It attempts to load some files or settings, but half way through it says "An unexpected error has occured in AdvancedConfig.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program"
I clicked on Details and copied it as follow:
AdvancedConfig.exe

i encountered an error during auto-config too.
I was flashing a cooked WM6 rom....it was successfull, then attempts to do some auto-config, but in the middle of the process, during "Running Dopod_Black.tsk... it stops and hangs with a message saying
Windows\custTSK.exe does not exist!
then nag-hang na sya I cant tap OK nor can I click on any hardbuttons...only way is to softreset
any clues?

Ok I saw the posts. Unfortunately the solution is too advanced for a noob like me.
Just flashed to TNT 2.0 Pro ROM and solved my problem

Hi There,
I'm having problem after doing an un-Install of the IIWPO program.
I've checked and ensured that ALL files and registry settings are removed.
But it keeps giving a pop-up whenever the device is turned on.
The error says:
"Notification Error - Cannot Execute \Windows\IIWPO_main.exe"
Worst of all, I thought this error will go away after a ROM flash.
But it didn't even after I re-flashed the ROM for an upgrade.
Please kindly advice on any work around.

I have tried to flash WM6 ROMs (both english versions available at wiki - pdaviet and orbit) to HTC original Artemis and every flash ends with error msg "The file \windows\cusTSK.exe does not exist", which is displayed after soft reset when it tries to install extrom.
Does anybody know where is the problem ? I have tried this flash several times, but always with this error ...
It sounds like you may have a corrupt extended Rom. I'd try flashing your original carrier ROM to fix it.
The error message is normal.
When I got the error the first time I boot the device (pdamobiz rom) I waited for 5 mins to see what happens. Then I simply made a power-off-power on to the mobile phone and the error never reappeared ever since. It works perfectly now!
I am not sure, but I guess this err msg is displayed when it tries to install apps from extrom, it is displayed after each hard reset. This is no limitation in functionality, everything works fine, only limitation is that there are no extrom apps installed, but these can be installed manually
I think the problem is that the program that changes the background in WM6 is not cusTSK.exe anymore. I don't know what is the program to do that in WM6 but maybe someone here knows. The error happens because on you extended rom there is a reference to cusTSK.exe. We need to know what is the name of the new program and then update our extended rom.

Recently I try to update my qtek 9000 to Jwrightmc 2.12.8 , once I finished update it start normally till e mail set up, but instead of doing autorunsetup main screen appears, I re download few different Roms and repeat the operation few couple of times but protocol version (42.51.P8) is not changed, then I installed ExtRom.exe the message ok to reboot appears, once it turn on an error message appears that “An unexpected error has occurred in extrom.exe select quit and then restart this program …” I selected details icon at the bottom, this screen says that “ ExtROM.exe Directory not found exception An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found at system.IO._Error.WinIOError()….
Normally I used to get the answer very easily by searching in your forum but this time I couldn’t
If any body knows how I can solve this problem it will be very grateful

If you already READ the Wiki and couldn´t find solution, I would recommend to reinstall form cero another ROM, perhaps is a compatibility problem

Hi - I continually receive this error when trying to download applications: "An unexpected error has occurred in CRCinAU.exe" When I choose Details on the error, I get a list of errors starting with "CRCinAU.exe NotSupportedException at System.Net.WebRequest.Create....."
I have tried to use the updater with a couple of different CRC ROM versions, including 13 and 14.1 and I get the same results. I have also tried selecting different applications from the list singly and in combination with the same result.
I am running a Hermes100 (Cingular 8525) with HardSPL.
I get the error regardless of whether I am trying to access Device Update via WiFi or ActiveSync.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

First unlock your phone with SDA Application Unlock. Reboot and flash your phone.
