Windows update cab....

I see many people's whant the stantar Microsoft windows update in cooked rom's.
So i manage to make a cab with all the files,
in my device work's well.
Also with this .reg file you can enable the customer feedback in settings menu.
Just rename the .txt to .reg and run it in your device with your fav registry explorer.
Try it and post your result.
(Sorry to open a new thread but i didn't know where to post it so all user's can find it).
Work's only in wm6
EDIT:
Open the config.zip extract the mxipcold_autoupdate_100.provxml and the Config Loader.exe and the Microsoft_Windows_Update.cab in your storage card.
Run Config Loader.exe and choose the mxipcold_autoupdate_100.provxml the device should ask for restart.
Before do the restart go with file explorer and run the Microsoft_Windows_Update.cab.
After that soft reset.

Hello...
I never see the audio booster work's in trinity device...
So i dont know if it is work's at all.
I try some ways but with no sucess...
Maybe someone else can help with audio booster.

Cab file no longer shows for me
Was there, clicked on it and told it's not there.
Scratch that it's back again... Funny 5 mins I guess.

Ok so try the way i did..

First Copy The file config.zip on you SD Card.
Search Winzip on your PPC and Open Config.zip with it.
And extract this 3 files : mxipcold_autoupdate_100.provxml
Config Loader.exe
Microsoft_Windows_Update.cab
On your SD card.
After
Run Config Loader.exe and choose the mxipcold_autoupdate_100.provxml the device should ask for restart.
Before do the restart go with file explorer and run the Microsoft_Windows_Update.cab.
After that soft reset.
And All OK !!!

It was exactly what I did. The only difference is that I've previously installed WindowsUpdate.CAB (before ausdim posts the fix) and I can't uninstall it...
I've tried to unzip files on PC and then put them in sd via ActiveSync and to unzip files directly form the sd card via ppc unzip. I get no changes.

To GDT
Uninstalling doesn't work from the first time, try once more and it should work.

so i have the 8525 and PDAVIETs v22. i need to get shaps config tool on my phone but i am clueless as what to do. ive downloaded it and i opened it up in WinAce, but now i am just dumb...
any help?

What's WinAce? you downloaded the CAB file? transfer the cab file to your phone's storage card, and click on it to install??

apparently you downloaded the zip file. well, download the *.cab file or extract the *.zip file you already downloaded and transfer it to your device and then click on it... finished
man, you managed to install a new ROM on your device, but you don't know how to instal an application

I'm guessing you don't know the password in question?
Depending on the strength of the password, you could be at this for months, if not years.
Since RAR 2.0 your forced to use brute force. And this can be processor intensive. I doubt you'd find anything that will run on the DHD.
Try looking --> Here and do it from your computer.

If you know the password, could you not open it on your PC and re-zip it unprotected.

I personally don't know of an app that will do it.
Your only option now is to start trawling the Android Market, luckily they have just released the web based Market. Give it a try --> Here

"UnRar Free" (or the PRO version if you buy it) will do this for you.

Is that a Samsung Galaxy firmware? You'd have better luck asking in the relevant device forum. Where did you download it from? What took you there? Etc..
Sadly we at XDA do not have crystal balls to answer the vaguest of questions.

Search for ArchiDroid in the market and it will do your job... It extracts password-protected RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2 and 7zip files... amazingly it is free... Unrar didn't work for me but this one works like a charm

I may b late but incase anybody else is searching for a result I found one... unrar works wen u pay for it maybe but not the free version, and archidroid does nothing. The one I found to work most efficiently was Archiver hope it helps

On pc use winrar, on android there's an app called rar with all the functionalities of winrar. And it's free but comes with some ads

Don't download from the phone. Download from a pc, then send the file to the phone.

You can try to download opera mobile and use that. Seems to have fixed some if not most of my downloading issues.

You can download apk with the phone, just be sure to open it with the package installer/ I know if you have emulators [especially psx4droid] it'll try to open the apk and say rom not supported [cuz its not a rom].

No problem hope it works out well for you. I had trouble understanding the software but I managed to unbrick my phone with it.

The exe file looks "bizarre"

The MD5 file is corrupt : "erreur d'entête" in French
I think it is because of the file name. I'll test unzip under linux

Yes mines like that too for me the program name is:Ŭ±ÈÑǼ±¾È¹¤¾ß. Haha.
I literally had to guess what I had to do to get it working the pictures helped a little.

I change the name using Linux Mint.
I'll upload the file in a few days.
I'll have a look the the text files (resources) in order to give some explanations if I can do it.

There's no need to rename the files/folders using linux. Opening the .zip file in explorer (win10) is enough to uncompress it, then tou can rename files/folders as you like.
The software installs and run just fine. Nubia Z17 is supported up to rel. 3.08 (so it seems exploring the "Recovery" folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\nubia\BackupRecoveryTool.
All the recovery files are in .7z format and password encrypted (don't know at the moment if the password is embedded into the recovery tool main program.

I've some problems too to unlock the boot loader.
After unlock it once and flash TWRP, all other attempts are KO (can't flash with adb).
I wanted to flash the "standard recovery" to install the OTA update (modded 3.08) and reflash after TWRP.

Downloaded several times but it looks corrupt.
7-zip can not open it.
Windows explorer extracted it but while running, it says can not find path.
