HELP ME - COUNTRY ID ERROR

HOW I CAN UPDATE MY JASJAR FROM JASJAR_WWE_11353_137_10301 TO JASJAR_ITA_11346_126_10301_ship??

Just unpack/extract the JASJAR_ITA_11346_126_10301_ship file into a directory.
donwload the attached file to this same directory
Run it and the Country ID error will come out, run it again right after, and it should work

thanks, but the update is ok without country error, but after the reset the screen is black with word: serial and v1.0

sorry...i found out the file you put for download but if i run the rom twice after have the rom and the file in the same directory i have the same error message....coul you please help me?

I've got the .exe file and it simply wants to self-install in a directory with my JJ. So, which directory should I try to install this then?

Just extract the rom required using winrar or similar (normally done by right clicking on the file and selecting extract)
donwload the file "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe"
Copy this file into the directory
Run it and the Country ID error will come out, run it again right after, and it should work

Italian to English
I purchased an imate jasjar in Italy last week. The salesperson confirmed that I can change the language from Italian to English. But when I contacted the Imate people they say it is not possible, Can someone guide me?

Hi hanhha2000, the required rom that I wanted to flash is with a .exe extension behind, how can we use winrar with this type of file, hope you can enlighten me as I have also ran in Country ID Error problems, thank you.

Will this technique work for my i-mate JAMin? im just afraid to screw up my device completely cos iv heard that that can happen

Hi,
The way i use is run the update rom and when appear the Country error, open the windows explorer and copy the folder in the temporary folder to a new location, then put the file ...noID.exe in the new folder.

I'm guessing you don't know the password in question?
Depending on the strength of the password, you could be at this for months, if not years.
Since RAR 2.0 your forced to use brute force. And this can be processor intensive. I doubt you'd find anything that will run on the DHD.
Try looking --> Here and do it from your computer.

I personally don't know of an app that will do it.
Your only option now is to start trawling the Android Market, luckily they have just released the web based Market. Give it a try --> Here

"UnRar Free" (or the PRO version if you buy it) will do this for you.

Is that a Samsung Galaxy firmware? You'd have better luck asking in the relevant device forum. Where did you download it from? What took you there? Etc..

Search for ArchiDroid in the market and it will do your job... It extracts password-protected RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2 and 7zip files... amazingly it is free... Unrar didn't work for me but this one works like a charm

I may b late but incase anybody else is searching for a result I found one... unrar works wen u pay for it maybe but not the free version, and archidroid does nothing. The one I found to work most efficiently was Archiver hope it helps

How can i open a rar file i forgot password is it possible

On pc use winrar, on android there's an app called rar with all the functionalities of winrar. And it's free but comes with some ads

Guys i tried to install MIUI 7 on my amazon firephone i downloaded all the files and did a reboot in recover all going good then when i tried to install miui files it got stuck in the recovery mood and i restarted the phone and now it is stucked on amazon logo nothing doing else even i tried wipe data twice from hard reset mood please help did it brick my phone? help me to solve this.

if you can acces to recovery, the only thing you can do is adb sideload ...bin
with an original stock ROM for your fire phone
(.bin must be the extension of the file, that you can get from official amazon site)

Thanks a lot for your help after starting this thread i did a lot of research about it and i got the same solution from Xda and i tried it is same manner as some nice people posted it on this site but now another issue is being created automatically which is adb sideload command is not working when i write the following command
adb sideload "filename.bin"
its shows me an error "*cannot read filename.bin"
i tried it by changing the file name as "update.bin" and also tried it same file name which i downloaded from the amazon site. Please help me to resolve issue. Thanks again.

filename is the name of file... <file.bin> you have to download that file from amazon or see in index thread

yeah i downloaded the file from amazon site and its original name was "update-kindle-35.4.6.6_user_466001420.bin" but i changed it to "update.bin" and it didn't work.

If you have the device via adb (with adb devices command) you can do an adb sideload sure... so in your case I supose, the file is corrupted... better dont rename it... but, if you can connect via adb, you can sideload sure...

no file was not corrupted because i downloaded another file from another site and it is showing same error i really cant understand what is happening. Is there any administration need?

did you do adb devices first?... first you have to know if adb can connet with the device... that will be listed with that command... adb devices
if you want send an screenshot with the result of making adb devices

Try to sideload what version of fire os you had before MIUI upgrade. If you had fireos 4.6.6, sideload 4.6.6, if you had 3.6.5 sideload 3.6.5

i was having 4.6.6 and i sideloaded this version i am shocked that all things i am doing are totally good but why this error is occuring

I think that here in my computer I have the original update of Stock Rom, If you want I can upload it to my shared folder...
(left 3 hours and 5 minutes, maybe)...
to be sure that the upload and the download then is rigth, I tell you the exactly weight of file...
1314263238 bytes, you can test if the file you had has the same weight...

Size of my file is 1.2 GBs which is approximately equal to your file as you told me. I actually download it from amazon original site not any third party site but yeah upload it and please give me the link i will surely be thankful to you. Are you accesing sideload by recovery?...
sideload only works invoked in recovey of the phone, in safestrap or in stock recovery

Yes I am accessing it through phone recovery because i cant turn my phone on thats why i cant use safestap thats why i put my phone on recovery mood and selects install from adb option then from laptop i open console by pressing nd holding shift and right click and selecting open command prompt where my original amazon rom is placed then i use to write the sideload command which is adb sideload <filename.bin> and the then it shows error *cannot read <filename.bin>
That is all the procedure what i do everytime and it get failed please let me know if i am doing any thing wrong in it. Thank you

Try using another wire and/or another port and/or another file... (the original stock that I had is in my shared folder, that one for exemple or any other one)... I hope you could relive it...

you can go to mobile shop and it will cost only 200 to 300 rupee for software, i also had this issue (soft brick) then i tried alot but finally i go to mobile shop and install the software ..

[h815] Ripping OFF LGBloatware & Googleware from KDZ before flashing onto G4 ??

Friends !
I wanted to rip off some LG Software ( eg. Weather, Calender, Health etc) and ALL Google
Software from my KDZ File and flash this modified KDZ then onto my G4.
I´ve tested out some Custom Roms like LineageOS, Resurection and some other, all Google Free but they all drain out my Batterie fast or has some other issues.
The best working Rom for me is the Original V20g.
My G4 is rooted with Magisk. In TWRP i used GKillerExtreme.zip to eliminate all Google Stuff but after cleaning there are some Google Apps still on the Phone and can´t delete them.
So my Idea is to modify my KDZ file before flashing on the Phone.

I followed these Post to extract all Files from the KDZ:

After extracting the *.dz file also i have a lot of *.bin files now.
So, how to working on with these *.bin Files now, how to open them, delete some Files are contained in the *.bin File and rebuild a flashable File?

Don't know how you would rebuild it - I guess you would need to use a twrp script to flash them onto the partitions
As for modifying them, depends on the bin file. For system, you can mount it on Linux to a folder
E.g.
Code:
mkdir ./extractedSystem
sudo mount ./system.bin ./extractedSystem
Then you can access it through that folder. When you are done...
Code:
sudo umount ./extractedSystem

Extract: SALT
Mount: SALT (Advanced menu)
Flash: SALT (v4)
Ah yea and btw: you can't create your own kdz. Well you can but you can't flash it as it must be signed.

Thank you very much. To mount a bin file as a Drive in Linux (FWUL ) is the Key. All other steps i will find in the next Days. Thx again.

when you use FWUL SALT is included
the flashing part of SALT is still in beta testing state thats why v4 is not (public) available yet ..

Hey.
Doesnt work for me. Getting error in Terminal.
Mount: /home/android/extractedSystem: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
So, im not so involved into Linux and have no idea whats wrong. Ive test with all .bin files but the error message pops up on every.bin file
My FWUL version is 2.7, the 8GB version on USB Stick.
Im pretty sure i did something wrong :angel:

Hey....
Hmmm no can not find SALT. No Icon, no Folder, unknown command in Terminal. Search term for salt give me no result.
Using FWUL 2.7 8GB version. FWUL did some little updates but still no SALT.

Many thx. But i dont have the Samsung and LG Folder on the Desktop.
Will download FWUL tomorrow from XDA. My FWUL was dl from an other Website because i have speed issues when dl from XDA or the Androidhosting Service. More then 5 hrs for dl the FWUL image, somewhere in Texas or other US- State.

Hey. My little response....
I did it and ripped off most of all the Bloatwares. Google is complete out off my Phone now and don't wont it back. It was a very hard and long process to eliminate all the Stuff. Alot of failures was coming up, alot of new image installings and start again over because i delered some Mainfeatures or essential Routines etc. OMG i don't want do this again in my life lol.
So its better to flash a google free Rom.

[Q&A] ASUS Fonepad 7 K00E ME372CG - looking for correct files for xFSTK

Please, where can I find ME372CG files for xFSTK?
I want to restore bootloader of my ME372CG tablet.
I follow these instructions, which are for FE170CG:

But I did not find ME372CG files for xFSTK.
So I took them from official Asus ME372CG firmware (from UL-K00E-WW-7.6.0.0-user.zip).
I found different file names in ifwi folder and I am not sure, which to use fo xFSTK:
dnx_fwr_ctp_???.bin
ifwi_ctp_???.bin
CLVP_CSAB_FWR_DnX_20.29.bin
ME372CG_32_IFWI_v54.57_CSAB_PROD.bin
I could not find any Softfuse file either.
Most probably I do not have the correct files, because xFSTK download does not work.

Cause of malfunction:
My tablet reported some kind of UI error, so I restarted it (still within Android),
but it never started again. It just vibrates when switching on, always black screen (only almost unnoticeable flash of light on LCD, during switching on). The battery is full - I measured it.

Use this file, run as Administrator ME372CG Debrick.bat and connect your device.

Hi, I received some suggestions from Teddy, but it did not work for me.
(I re-uploaded the files to Dropbox, so the links should work):

2. Extract with 7-zip on your Desktop
3. Open extracted CSC_ME372CG_Debrick file ---> Right click on ME372CG Debrick.bat left click on Run as Administrator. And it should look like this:

After I informed Teddy that it does not work for me,

2. Extract with 7-zip on your Desktop
3. Open extracted CSC_ME372CG_Debrick file ---> Right click on ME372CG Debrick.bat left click on Run as Administrator. And it should look like this:

If that doesn't show up install this minimal adb and fastboot command

4. If the tool doesn't recognise your device press VOL + or VOl - and connect your device with pc while you are holding one of volume buttons.....

After I informed Teddy that it does not work for me,

See this tutorial for another device to get the point, reinstall drivers and try again debrick files. Softfuse file I can't find for your device but with debrick.bat is trick for seconds I thing to get recognized to start flashing partition and firmware....

I tried that but it didn't work. Actually it's because we lost fastboot and droidboot.
About those xFSTK files, we can acquire them from rom (zip/raw). there is a zip file called "ifwi.zip" in the rom package.
I follow this tutorial to debrick it but I didn't make it:crying:
