Any advise would be helpfull....
Looks like we got nearly similar problems
a day back....the blue LED lite (but I'm not using any BT device) and I couldn't do anything....even soft reset nothing happened....open/reinstall the battery....haha...it hard resets by itself
Today, at nearly the same time, same thing happened. But I remembered to off the BT so that no one can bluejack me....so why did the blue LED lite...and nothing could be done?
I really dunno why, when it happened, the softwares were the same factory default (I had no time to install any software) and the baterry level was 60%..
Rom version 1.66WWE
Radio:1.08.00
Hope someone can help me......PLEASE

Mind you i have noticed the BT light come on..however the BT is turned off from the device! How odd
Help!......
my bluetooth led also blink 1 or 2 times sometimes when i turn it on
ahhh...but my blue tooth light flashes even when i dnt turn it on..
Tweaks2K2
Hello guys..you need this super application to shut off those LED's for good, and thus saving power!
Many more tweaks in here too!
Enjoy!
A device that does a Hard reset by its self, unwanted, un-asked for, most allways has a problem with the battery or the connection to the battery.
This is true for a BA, have no prrof that it is also true for other devices.
leds use very very little power i renember buying a logitech mouse optical and the case wrapping had a red led to emulate the led in optical mice
that led was powered by 1 AA batt and lasted for ages
i doubt that people can measure much difference in batt life by turning off the green and even blue led
The Point
Listen here...negative comments are not welcome matey! LED'S can annoy people, so my FULL app helps eliminate this, and also many other tweaks enclosed in this fab app! Any minute power saving is always welcome! :x
I am here to help!
is there a new rule in the forum where one can not share info and opinions if some dont like that info / openions ?
if so then that rule passed without my knowledge
Get the Point!
Understand my point dude, and then we can go forward!
Try to reword your comments in future so they don't cause conflict, OK?
END! :!:
not sure which of my comments were hhmmm undiplomatic
dident even know it was your program or know the program in general
just talked about leds really
Hum let us have a look here,
Rudegar has 3165 posts.
engager has 3 posts.
Think Rudegar would have seen that new rule.
I for one fail to read any negative comments about your application.
There wasn't anything negative about his post at all.. Bad day?
A loose SIM card will cause an intermitent hard reset, adjust the rails that hold the SIM in place, worked for me!
Battery
Hi All,
Regarding this issue. This is my point of view. I myself have this problem too. Currently I am using XDA II with WM2005. I surpose the problem comes from the software part *maybe the battery meter reading error*..
When using the phone, when ever I reach 37%, the phone will auto off, or maybe it hard reset? I dunno as WM2005 got persistant memory. But I know the situtation is the same, Boot up, blue led, den keep resetting, unles you plug the POWER SUPPLY .. not power thru USB direct from computer.
I tried a test, and am sure its software problem. I put a new battery on test, the battery went to 25% and then same, it shuts off like the previous.
So, anyone have any idea where to get a software that maybe.. reset the battery meter?
Me too, I had upgrade the rom from 1.60 to 2.06, when ever the battery hit below 50%, it sometime turn off by itself or hardreset even I did not turn it on.
I downgrade it back to 1.60 rom and working fine now.

Click to collapse
you dint say if you are using some batery program you can disable radio and use pda with radio off and find out if its not radio thats killing the batery at 25% and that remove bad sim conection also
there are also some sd cards that request power even when not in use so thats a test to
use a program to check the batery full charge it and test
i have two bateries for my xda 2 one last almost twice the other the stong one was made somewhere in japan and the weeker one in china that doesnt mean anything cos i could find the companies envolved only where they say made in .....
hope thats helpfull
Hi there,
I have a T-mobile MDA compact II, which for the last few months has been freezing on touch screen intermittently. First of all it was only a few seconds delay but now it can take hours to start working again.
At first I thought it was a software problem, however navigation buttons can always still access the menus. It is just the touch screen functions that seem to be affected. I have bought a new battery to see if it was a power issue but that has no affect.
I would really appreciate some advice, as my soft reset button will be worn out soon!!
Many thanks.
Regards.
Rosco.
Have you tried deleting all the entries in your call history also any received text messages i found that it helped speed up my phone, just a thought hope it helps .
Hi there,
I`ve just got my first PDA O2 Orbit and I`m pretty new with PDA word. My fone is working fine with everything but when the incoming calls come, it like I turn the speaker on. I turned all the speaker off, the phone volume off, all the volume are minimum. I did the soft reset, hard reset, took the battery out for a while, etc etc, but they dont work. It is embarasing talking to my friends with the "speaker on" so loud
Any one could help would be so much appreciated.
Kind Regards

I also met this problem for my HTC p3300 last month, thn i took my phone to the service center....After checked, the changed a new main board to me and told me tat it was caused by mainboard failure....Maybe u can send ur phone to the service center and check it.
I use a T-Mobile Dash and recently flashed my ROM with Windows Mobile 6.1 from Kavana. I love the layout and uses but I have encountered a problem.
When I am using my bluetooth headset for phone calls, my device shuts down without provocation. I can be in the middle of a call and then lose the connection. I check the phone and it is off. After rebooting, I have noticed a considerable amount of battery power has been used for even a short time. (The last time this happened, I was on a call for less than 3 minutes and the battery, which was full before dialing, was down to 83%.)
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Jared
Replace the battery, its been a known problem and been discussed on here many of times.
Thanks for the quick reply. I have just returned from the local T-Mobile store with a new battery. I will try this out and report back.
Hi guys!
I`ve got some ****ty problems with my MDA.
After some rome changing actions my phone started to act like moron.
To be specific, when someone tries to call me, phone rings about 15 secs then restarts!
Without SIM card it works just fine! It dosen`t restart and gets turned of until battery is totally depleted.
WherÄ™`s the problem?
I`m currently runnin` stock HTC P3300 ROM with spb suit.
(Got bored with all those new only problem making roms)
...
i recon either..
1. change rom..
2. get new battery.. (if device still restarts like you say) (leave it off while you charge it, green light when done)
Rn
1.
I`ve changed already 4 roms since the problem first appeard.
Everything started when i was using Emrulez WM 6.5 standrad edition rom
2.
Like I said... Without SIM card, phone works just fine.
Help needed!
yea, but with sim it's more drain from battery. Especially when someone calls you (this specific moment is the biggest stress for battery).
If your batt is dying it can't hold on steady voltage in stressful moments and PDA simply shuts down
...
new battery dude
Some updates
In last few days I`ve found the just right ROM for me and my arte
It`s the HTC 4.2 Touch Rom with 4 sided cube.
I love it!
The self restart problem is still here, so I`m definitely gettin a new battery.
Only bad thing is that I`m gettin new device... E72, HD2 or BB 8900curve
Hi guys! Yeah, it`s me again xD
I`ve got one very irritating problem.
When I recive sms on my mda it stays in inbox, but every next message that arrives (from same contact) deletes that old one... So in short words there is no message history!
As I said rom is HTC 4.2 Touch Rom with 4 sided cube.
Please help!
???
..
probably the rom your using dude..
i would try installing threaded txt messaging..
(makes messages look like a Im chat.. eg, smiley sms.cab, click link for uploads in my sig, iv uploaded it in that thread)(its worth a try if you dont want to be changing your rom)
