Hi there,

I turned all the speaker off, the phone volume off, all the volume are minimum. I did the soft reset, hard reset, took the battery out for a while, etc etc, but they dont work. It is embarasing talking to my friends with the "speaker on" so loud
Any one could help would be so much appreciated.

Phone stays silent

Hey there,
i've got a big problem with my BA.
i can't make any phone calls any more. I don't hear anything if i call someone, and he doesn't hear me. the phone rings, but then nothing...
i think it hat nothing to do with the silent calls problem, but i also tried the patch for it. i tried a soft and even a hard reset, but nothing helps. also tried to enable BT and so on. the speaker is still working (can hear mp3s) and the mic is recording to, but in a call nothing happens.
also tried it with no software installed after a hard reset... nothing...
another thing is, i can't put it on speaker phone, nothing happens when i stay on the phone button for a while...
does any one know what that can be?
i upgraded to WM5 but the problem stays...
phone stays silent during calls
updated to radio 1.15
i also tried another SIM-card, with another Phone company
but nothing changes....
so it must be a hardware issue, mustn't it?
can anyone help?
another weird thing,
the option "Turn Hands-free on" is greyed out when i try to call. is this normal?
further investigations:
the earphones aren't working any more... no sound while calling, and no sound from mp3s...
so there must be ha hardware problem??
perhaps anyone knows something...
Exactly the same thing happened to my XDA IIs this summer. After trying a few bits and pieces I took it into an O2 shop where they sent it away for repair. The report can back "irrepairable" so I was given a brand new one.
uh, that sounds bad :x
i don't think they will get me a new one, becaus i bought mine from ebay,
without guarantee as it looks
guess what happend
i tried it now for almost 2 weeks and nothing worked. so i decided to go to the t-mobile store, to give it back.
she tried it out, and now it worked
so it's working again... but for how long...

Help! My Excalibur bricked?

Hi everyone! I have had my Excalibur for some months now and have SIM-unlocked it, and updated with the latest roms to WM 6.1.
Today, something peculiar happened. When connecting to my computer, it started connecting and disconnecting all the time. No synchronization was made. And when making or receiving phone calls, only the external loudspeaker works. Is this a common / known / fixable problem? Or has my Excalibur gone from being one of my prized possesions to an expensive paperweight?
Other than the connection issues and loudspeaker (attaching a headset does no difference - all sound comes from the loudspeaker), the phone seems to work OK. I've done a har dreset (two action buttons pressed when powering up, etc.) but to no avail.
Any help to shed some light on what might have happened is greatly appreciated! I hope, hope, hope it's some software issue.

look why dont you take out the baterry and put it back.
after you done that hold and press the camera button then the bootloader
screen will show up.connect it and flash it with the original rom your phone kame with. that solved my issue.

I opened the case all through and tried to find any obsticles physically, but its fine.
Can any one suggest any tips.
How do I disable the SEND Button, (I can use the touch screen to access the phone).

Hi,
I don't have a solution, but I had a similar problem - my phone would just cycle through the lower buttons randomly, and I never found out what it was.
But I might have got it wet a bit, after a week or so it went away.
Then I had the phone replaced with another problem.
Is it still under warranty? If so, just take it back.
Good luck!
PS: I don't think your question should have been in the WM6 section..

my Desire reboots on call close !!

Hi everybody...
yesterday i was sitting at my desk with my Desire in standby...
suddenly i heard a vibration and i noticed that the phone was rebooting....
i thought that was "normal instability"...and i continued working...
some minutes later i received a phone call, i answered and i spoke normally....when it was time to end the call, like always, i touch the red button on screen to close the call and BUM !!!
my phone rebooted himself.....
from that moment every call ending , done by me or received, cause a reboot of my Desire....
i' ve already called HTC tech support for assistance, but, prior to send the phone to the repair center, i would like to know from you "experts" if this problem can be a "software related" problem or it is for sure an "hardware problem"...
obviously i've already performed an HARD reset of the phone (either by the provacy menu and by the HBOOT menu) and nothing has changed...
last thing....my phone has 7 days of life....SIGH
thank's in advance for your help
