Latest ROM for PDA2K - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Has anyone tested the latest ROM from the Club I-mate site ?
http://www.clubimate.com/index.asp?PageAction=PDA2K
Not quite sure whether this update supersedes the previous BT patches (#1&2) or whether I still need to download BT Patch #2.
Anyone in the know ?
gp

This ROM contains old BT stack: 1.0.0 Build 2400. After upgraiding you'll need to install BT update #2.

that is not this way, it takes the 3500 of BT

This update patches Bluetooth BT -PPC/PE version: 1.0.0 Build 2400 into BT -PPC/PE version: 1.0.0 Build 3500.
# First install WWE_124_008.sa.CAB
# Than install OEM_Patche_12100401.sa.CAB
# Soft reset your device and you're ready.
After the patch the Bluetooth works better!!!
THANKS!
Thank you for this post, finaly my BT is working. GREAT.
Here it is from Dangaard:
New Bluetooth stack for Qtek 9090!
As some users have experienced problems with Bluetooth connectivity in Qtek 9090, we now offer an upgrade of the Bluetooth stack from Build 2200 to build 3500. This upgrade fixes most of the Bluetooth problems in the device.
Please note: Installation and use of this upgrade is entirely at your own risk. Dangaard Telecom disclaims all liability issues.
To install the upgrade, download the two files;
- OEM_XXX (matching the language of your Qtek, e.g. OEM_WWE = World Wide English)
- OEM_Patche_12100401.sa.CAB
- Copy both files into a temporary folder on the Qtek
- Open File Explorer on the Qtek and find the temporary folder
- Tab on OEM_XXX… and wait till it is installed
- Tab on OEM_Patche… and wait till it is installed.
- Make a soft reset (small hole next to battery lock) and wait for the device to reboot.
To check if the update was successfully installed, enter;
Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth
Find the “About” screen and check the build version. It is supposed to be 3500.
The files can be downloaded from this link:

Bluetooth Upgrade for Siemens SX66 ???

Is it possible to upgrade the BT ver? SX66 has 1.0 and just isn't worth using.
Siemens website
chammj,
Have you tried the Siemens website? It has a ROM update (1.33.11) for the SX66, which according to them it fixes some issues with BT. I do not use any BT device, so I do not know how good/bad it is. If you want to, give it a shot. I thought I might drop a line and try to help out a little.
Good luck and let me know how it turns out

If you want to keep yor SX66 up-to-date the best way is to visit the SX66 (Blue Angel) Standardization Project page - http://sx66-blueangel.home.comcast.net/
Thanks
I have the latest ver update from Siemens
ROM update (1.33.11) Fixed Bluetooth Problem?
Hi chammj, did you install it?
I'd install the Standardization Project from http://sx66-blueangel.home.comcast.net/ but it doesn't make any diferese on the bluetooth. But I like it.
I just read of a Simens ROM update (1.33.11) for the SX66 but I don't know if I should change the update.
There is some one who had try the 2 of them?

The Simens' "Official" ROM 1.33.11 is not worth it. You won't see any improvement in the BT neither. I'd say stick with the latest updates from http://sx66-blueangel.home.comcast.net/.
I personally have on my SX66 now:
ROM version 1.40.00 WWE
ROM date 03/10/05
Radio version 1.13.00
Protocol version 1337.42
ExtROM version 1.40.125 WWE
And besides... I don't think Simens plans to do any updates any time soon. So SX66 Standardization Project is the way to go.

Need I-Mate Bluetooth Patches for PDA2K

Hello
I have a Siemens SX66 with the much talked about Bluetooth issues I'm trying to resolve:
1. BT Activesync connection cuts out when uploading/downloading
2. BT connection cuts out when connected to my HF820 BT Moto Speakerphone
I'm attributing this to problem of the PDA going into "sleep" mode. I heard clubimate.com has the BT patches but I cannot register on the website because I have a Siemens and not an I-Mate PDA. Please, if you can provide a link to the patches (all other links I've found on this site or web have been dead) or if you could email me the .cab file. I would really appreciate it - [email protected]
Unless of course you think it may be another problem.
I am most appreciative.
Nick
Clubimate published "PDA2k UniDirectional Patch.sa.cab", it is for 1.40 ROM or older. This is for resolving problem with no sound when someone calls/you calls someone disappeared. I've never heard abut BT updates from Clubimate.
I have a BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab and can send it to you. What is your version of BT?
Yes. Supposedly this Clubimate produced patch solves a lot of BT issues. Please, see the following links:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=14277
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=73927
But like I said all the links are dead and I can't get an account on clubimate.
BT Build 3900 would be great! [email protected]
Rom version: 1.40.00 WWE
Radio version 1.15.00

What's a quick way of finding out whether the ROM has A2DP?

I don't have Bluetooth stereo headphones, so what's the alternative quick way of finding out whether the ROM has A2DP? Does the radio version tell us something? (The latest is 1.11, I think.)
EDIT: What I've noticed so far is that all A2DP ROMs have the 1.1x Radio Stack.

No, the radio version has nothing to do with A2DP. This function is provided by the System Operating ROM that Microsoft releases.
Regarding your second statement, the only ROMs so far that I know of with A2DP and AKU2 support is QTEK's latest ROM with radio 1.09.00 and Jwright's Modified ROMs. So your theory that A2DP have radio 1.1x is wrong. Of course, you can change the radio version to whatever you want. Maybe, you got hold of a copy of the QTEK ROM bundled with radio 1.1x, but the OFFICIAL QTEK release is bundled with radio 1.09.00. It does not affect A2DP support no matter what radio version you are using anyway.
and newest dutch tmobile (which has english language)
cktlcmd: Thanks for the info. Well, I've just ordered a Jabra BT620s so I will find out which has what.
OH, and I've never tried any Qtek ROM - I've heard that the i-mate ROMs are more stable.

Blue tooth A2DP Patch 4 Universal

Hi all
Been readiing through the forum/site on the upgrading of ROm etc.
Q) The ROm reading on my UNiversal is at 1.30.111WWE, which seems to be higher than is mentioned for upgrading purposes. Would I then need to do any upgrade if I was to download the blue tooth a2dp patch?
Which leads me to my main qustion;
Q) Where can I get the bluetooth a2dp patch from?
WOuld anyone be able to assist?
cheers
A2DP is built into most of the new roms.
Download one of the newer roms and a2dp should just be there.
