Thanks for the information. However that program did not work for me. I used an apk "Partition backup and restore" from Play store and it worked.

I'm new to PDA phone. I found an article from here stated that we can actually backup ROM to SD card and restore from SD as well.

Oh boy... Ok, you have only 16 posts... Install "Astro file manager" (download via the Market), click on the apk, open with Astro, and proceed as usual for the install.
f.
was looking for this yesterday because I reflashed my phone to stock with CWM. thanks for this. now my recovery image is perfect!
move
I still can't move installed files to my external SD. I installed the app but when i choose "move do sd" it stil move the app to the internal app.
I am now for days trying to discover a way to move games to my micro sd. There is no point in have a 32gb sd and use it only to videos and music. And with app2sd and all apps in Google Play doesn't work with Optimus 2x.

On the Verizon GNex, is there a way to recover an accidentally deleted photo or video file? I have tried the Undelete program from the Market and it will not list the device. I have also tried recovery software when connected to a pc and it will not recognize the device either.
Anyone have any ideas?
You can try using the stick mount app by chain fire to mount the phone; however, you will need to root.

I've tried this and like Undelete it will not recognize the device for me. I don't know if it is due to ICS or if it is just the GNex.
I have downloaded the StickMount app, but I don't have the original Samsung cable w/ me at work to try it out (won't work unless it is original cable??). I will try this tonight and see if this works.
Thanks for the info!
I've tried the StickMount and it does not recognize the device w/ the original cable either. I also tried the Hexamob Pro app again and it will not find the device due to it not being FAT format.
Other ideas?
You need an ext3(or ext4) "undelete" tool. Those are for fat32 formatted devices.

Yes. The "SD Card" is not an actual SD partition with FAT file system, it is actually a link to /data/media with EXT4 file system. You need a EXT undelete tool installed on the phone or a MTP/PTP undelete tool installed on your PC.
did you turn on google+ upload photo feature before you deleted the photo? If yes and you have a google+ the photo might be online already.
Hi!
I recently installed the RamExtender application for my One V so it could run games more fluently.
However, right after installing it and creating a "ram-swapping" partition, my SD Card would not show up anymore in "My Computer" tab. I can only see my phone storage and the H: letter (usually the SD Card) is there but when I click on it, it says "Please Insert a disk into removable disk".
Please see the picture attached to the thread so you can see what's actually happening. The SD Card is not corrupted since my games still work and I can browse its files in ASTRO file manager... HTC Sync Manager won't sync either.
Any ideas how to fix it? I still want to put music and custom APKs in my SD Card!!
Thank you very much everyone
First of all, NEVER use these kinds of apps
if you're ROOTED, flash the Turbo Boost MOD
just delete the swap file u created from the SD card and you should be okay !

Thank you very much! Well I did uninstall the app and deleted the .swap file left behind by the app, but still the SD Card won't mount on Windows because it seems Ram Expander is not fully uninstalled
What other file/directory should I be looking for? How to be sure it's fully deleted?
Thanks again!

The best and final way is to make factory reset, wiping everything, including SD card....
Then just install everything from scratch and you'll have working hov...

Well I reinstalled the App in order to try it but there is no option to remove the swap file in it I'll try to contact the dev by Email and see what I can do...
*UPDATE* The dev says he's not avaible to provide me support. Contacting another user who used this app before.

*Cut my life into pieces. This is my last resort* -Lyrics from Papa Roach. And here comes the awesome guitar rift!
Hope this will not be necessary. As a newbie in the Android ecosystem (I come from Windows Phone 7.8 lol), I had a real hard time rooting/unlocking my bootloader and installing the new kernel+rom...
U can do 1 thing.....
Use es file explorer and in the menu click on manager then choose SD card analyst.....
Once it stops scanning check 4 swap file if present delete it and reboot....
Hope it solves the issue

Hi everyone
I recently own a galaxy tab s (the wifi model ) and I was wanting to do a Nandroid backup before to root my device.
The problem is than there is no software like CWM and TWRP who support it...
Does anyone know one who support the nandroid backup for the tab s ?
Thank you for your help
Iphrin

Assuming you don't have TWRP installed just download
: Google playstore app called "Flashify"
: download "openrecovery-twrp-2.1.1"
File from the link I provided
Open the Flashify app and grant it superuser rights, than tap "Recovery IMG" and tap choose a file and navigate to the file you downloaded and tap "yup"
You now have TWRP
If you have TWRP installed than boot to recovery and hit "backup" and it will do the rest (reboot system after backup is complete).
: I prefer the "dd" method
Also I would add in your thread name witch WiFi model (SM-T700)or
(SM-T800)or add a signature to the bottom of your page

success !!
Finally, I rooted my device and created my nandroid backup with twrp.
Last question: how to transfer ta backup on my pc (I do not own a mini sd card so i stored on internal storage)
Thank you reallly much
note: my model is SM-T700

Just like plugging in a usb thumb drive. Only thing is to make sure you have the latest samsung usb drivers, which you can get from their website. You can also back it up to dropbox via the app (downloadabe from Playstore) which has free 50gb of storage for galaxy tab users.
