it just so happens, i had that particular .apk in my recycle bin lol
'spare parts' has the same thing but a bit nicer to use

I´m also looking for this application, i tryied to install it in my HTC Aria and it failed, it says that it couldnt be opened as an APK file.

Oh boy... Ok, you have only 16 posts... Install "Astro file manager" (download via the Market), click on the apk, open with Astro, and proceed as usual for the install.

was looking for this yesterday because I reflashed my phone to stock with CWM. thanks for this. now my recovery image is perfect!

I still can't move installed files to my external SD. I installed the app but when i choose "move do sd" it stil move the app to the internal app.
I am now for days trying to discover a way to move games to my micro sd. There is no point in have a 32gb sd and use it only to videos and music. And with app2sd and all apps in Google Play doesn't work with Optimus 2x.

after thinking, it says you need a vcast subscription so seeing how we arent on verizon i dont think there is any way to get charged.

you have to download it via computer, you cant just download it on the phone, once you down load it on the computer, drop the file into your SD card. then use a file manager to view the SD card and install the app from there.
ive downloaded via dropbox and transfered through usb to my device and it always gives
'Application not installed'

do you have a file manager like astro?
if so, all you have to do is go to astro and open the file on the SD card and it will ask u if you want to install it...
other wise try to down load it directly from a computer save the file copy it into the SD card and then try astro... maybe the drop box is whats causing your error message...

yeah ive tried both through dropbox and through astro. same result

just ripped the old apk i had on my vibrant off and that one installed

Hi,
I got myself a HTC Wildfire S. Now, I'm trying to install the Music Lover skin
I got the notification of the skin downloading and waited until it's done. After that HTC Hub still shows that the skin is downloading and it just sits there. If I try to open the completed skin download from notifications bar, it opens up the skin browser but it doesn't load the Music lover skin.
Any ideas what's wrong?
If u guys have all or any of the .apk files of official skins in htc hub can any of u post it here....it will be very helpful...

PS : Anyone having problems while accessing HTCSense web page PC ?? It is only showing dashboard...no apps download or contacts or message sync etc....also sometimes it is not even opening the web page and says my User Id or password is incorrect...which is in fact correct...I'm thinking its a Server problem of HTC but if its not PLZ tell me..

Its not just music lover....i can't download any other skin too..i can download every other thing...ringtones..apps..wallpaper...only skins is giving me this problem.

i tried HTC customer support and they told me some irrelevant things..when that changed nothing they told me to bring my phone to the nearest customer support center...!!

if you have deleted all your sd card's data, you will have to manually create ".data" directory in order to be able to download or install htc skins

When i try to create a .data forlder it says "specify a name for the folder" what should i do?
Don't try to use Windows, but create it with an explorer directly on the phone.

Hello to all!
At last few days, my phone start bugging.. First and biggest problem is that, all apps from SD card are unreachable( cant be loaded, but they are installed).. Also, other files are available on SD card.. Can preview pics, listen music, etc.. Also, few days before this problem, phone didnt open any pic and failed to load any video.. I dont know what I did, but that problem is gone..
Phone is rooted, and worked fine till now..
I must notice that this is happen after SD defragmentation.. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is last app I installed before problem..
Please, give me some options becouse I have alot apps installed and moved to SD.

If you have apks than try to install them again.
If you don't have apks
Than u can find your installed apks here
just open any file manager
Go to
MNT>ASEC
just copy them
To sdcard and reinstall

Your SD card has gone kaput. Try scan and fix through Windows. If it fixed, even then you may have to install apps again.

Also, I tried to defrag by PC, scan with NOD32, and nothing..
I have good progress in games, so it would be a pity to play them again.. Btw, if that is only way, I dont have to choose..

Mi File Manager will do the trick fro you. All you need is root on your phone.

Again, try saving the game folder on your PC and restoring after fresh install. It should work.
I tried today Mi File Explorer, and in APKs, I dont have all installed games.. Only few... Maybe I need to setup something?
Mi File Explorer shows the APK installer file and not the installed APKs. So if you need to backup your installed APK, then installed Airdroid first and then from web interface, select the games files you need to backup and you're done.
I tried to connect to Airdroid, but still no apps.. There are not on System apps too..
I also tried to format MMS, but nothing...
Ok, I downloaded a Root Browser Lite and in phone memory(I think, its first what I see when I open the app) in folder Data>data, I found app folders.. U can see in attachments.. What should I do now?

I took over the Wildfire of a friend and he reseted it. Now i wanted to put my SD-Card in it but all the Apps i want to download are safed in the internal storage. By Google search i just found solutions for saving fotos and videos on SD-Card but not Apps and so on.
It runs with 2.3.5 Android. Can you help me?

Would it not be easier as it is to put all your apps into an online backup like SOS? (Link here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...yLDEsImNvbS5zb3NvbmxpbmViYWNrdXAuYW5kcm9pZCJd
Then backup your apps, photos, videos, music etc.. After that download the app onto the other device, sign into your account and redownload everything to the SD. The way you're trying to do it just opens the door to confusion.

I think you should try the titanium backup(you can find it here "http://www.filecrop.com/77298937/index.html").you can backup almost everything you have...you should definitely give it a try

Yeah nice solutions, the problem is i got a new SD. So the only way i can imagine how it could work is to download all the APKs i need, and put them on my SD-Card... but i think it wants to install on the internal storage, or does it install whereever the apk is?

Unfortunately for you, mate, the Android is made so that an app is almost always installed on the internal space and, if the developer included this, it could be moved to the sd card. The location of the apk makes no difference and even if you moved it, it leaves parts in the internal storage (like moving only half of it).
I suggest you use Data2SD or Link2SD (I preffer the latter) to install whatever app you need totally to the sd.
Hi!
I recently installed the RamExtender application for my One V so it could run games more fluently.
However, right after installing it and creating a "ram-swapping" partition, my SD Card would not show up anymore in "My Computer" tab. I can only see my phone storage and the H: letter (usually the SD Card) is there but when I click on it, it says "Please Insert a disk into removable disk".
Please see the picture attached to the thread so you can see what's actually happening. The SD Card is not corrupted since my games still work and I can browse its files in ASTRO file manager... HTC Sync Manager won't sync either.
Any ideas how to fix it? I still want to put music and custom APKs in my SD Card!!

First of all, NEVER use these kinds of apps
if you're ROOTED, flash the Turbo Boost MOD
just delete the swap file u created from the SD card and you should be okay !

Thank you very much! Well I did uninstall the app and deleted the .swap file left behind by the app, but still the SD Card won't mount on Windows because it seems Ram Expander is not fully uninstalled
What other file/directory should I be looking for? How to be sure it's fully deleted?

umm try installing the app and then Removing SWAP FILE from the APP itself

The best and final way is to make factory reset, wiping everything, including SD card....
Then just install everything from scratch and you'll have working hov...

Well I reinstalled the App in order to try it but there is no option to remove the swap file in it I'll try to contact the dev by Email and see what I can do...
*UPDATE* The dev says he's not avaible to provide me support. Contacting another user who used this app before.

Hope this will not be necessary. As a newbie in the Android ecosystem (I come from Windows Phone 7.8 lol), I had a real hard time rooting/unlocking my bootloader and installing the new kernel+rom...
U can do 1 thing.....
Use es file explorer and in the menu click on manager then choose SD card analyst.....
Once it stops scanning check 4 swap file if present delete it and reboot....
Hope it solves the issue
