Hey guys!
When my phone -N2- boots I see a T-mobile animation after the samsung galaxy note 2 n7100 text. Does that mean I got a locked bootloader? I couldn't flash probam rom because of error status 7 which makes me think I have a locked bootloader. Is there any way that I can check my bootloader status?
Thanks!
The model is Samsung Galaxy S20 5G SM-G981B/DS. I want to carrier unlock it, would that be possible?
Bootloader and Carrier Lock are two seperate things...
I need a help.
Where is the Boot Logo (Splash Screen) located in the Redmi Note 8?
The device shows "Unlocked" in splash screen after the bootloader has been unlocked. So I wanted to change the splash screen. I tried flashing new splash.img to both:
/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/splash
and
/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/logo
But, its not working. I have already generated a new custom splash.img for my device. I am currently using PixysOs (Android 10) Custom ROM.
It would be helpful if anyone gives the location of the splash screen.
the screen where u see Unlocked is not the boot logo that one cannot be changed

So which is the boot logo (not the boot animation stored in /system/media or /system/product/media).
In some devices it can be changed. Is there no way to remove the "Unlocked" text? Why does Xiaomi shows "Unlocked" while booting?
I found a guide to remove Unlocked text on the Redmi Note 5

Xiaomi in newer devices like redmi note 8, mi A3 etc etc has included splash screen in the bootloader itself.... hence no way of modifying it... older devices like redmi note 7 and other devices had splash.img in
/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/splash
or
/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/logo
but not with newer devices.

I am using Custom ROM and Recovery and I want to keep bootloader unlocked.
Only some OEMs show "Unlocked", most OEMs don't show this. I have used custom ROMs in many devices.

Can advanced users modify the bootloader or only Xiaomi?

you'd need to compromise the trustzone beforehand...your best bet is to bribe the guy with the secure boot keys....you'd probably have to bribe someone at qualcomm too, because it might be double-signed.
After a firmware update to the latest version, the Splash screen has changed. Now the unlocked text is gone but a unlock sign is present at the top. "Powered by Android" came. Better than older one.
Hello Everyone. i have an S20 Ultra 5G Exynos (G988b) variant. I wanted to play with some custom roms so unlocked the bootloader of the phone. (the warning of OEM unlock appears on each reboot). i am currently on official beta 3 of android 12. i wanna sell the phone and buy a Note 20 ultra. since here in my counrty people dislike phones with unlocked bootloaders and custom roms. just wanna know if relocking the bootloader will make the software/phone status as official?
No
Hi.
It is the S22 normal version.
When booting, I wonder if I can change the logo to a GIF or video file that I want.
any modifications require unlocked bootloader (with all its disadvantages)
