The model is Samsung Galaxy S20 5G SM-G981B/DS. I want to carrier unlock it, would that be possible?
Bootloader and Carrier Lock are two seperate things...

I have an AT& T unlocked S4 that I use on T-Mobile and my S4 bootloader is locked. My question is I am going to get the S5 on T-mobile will it have an unlocked or locked bootloader?? We should be able to do whatever we want to our phone. I paid over $ 700 for it to be unlocked.
I just ordered the s20 4g UK version because I won't be using 5g for some time and I live in the US and want to root. Can anyone confirm if the s20 is like the s10 where the bootloader was locked on US models and unlocked on exynos? I can't find a concrete answer anywhere.
On my UK model it allows me to tick OEM Unlocking in developer option. Haven't actually tried to fully unlock the bootloader yet though
Hello,
I've got a refurbished Pixel 3 XL with an US VZ Board. The interesting thing is that on this device is the normal variant of the firmware installed without any Verizon stuff. So now I wanted to unlock the bootloader and OEM Unlocking is greyed out. So my thought now is that maybe the device was bootloader unlocked to flash the firmware variant without Verizon stuff and then relocked. Without Verizon firmware there shouldn't be anything blocking OEM Unlocking.
Am I right that I just need to wait about 7 days before I am allowed to enable OEM Unlocking?
Tell me if I'm wrong with something.
Thanks
Hi please help me for samsung galaxy a50 sm-505U android 11 OEM unlock none to developer options
If I remember correctly, the "U" on the phone model means it's from U.S. and those phones do not get OEM unlock option since Samsung locks the bootloader. The only way you can get it is by using a paid service.

Since T-Mobile will release a temporarily full phone unlock, isn't there anyway for a developer get the bootloader unlock and sim unlock source from inside the phone since it's unlocked? It sounds weird that developers take months to get a sim unlock and the carrier can do an unlock any way they like. There should be a method to push an unlock on any android phone remotely. Do i make sense?
A sim unlock has nothing to do with a bootloader unlock. T-Mobile SIM unlocked my S22 the day i got it, a few days before release.
