will Locking back unlocked boot loader make the software status as official ? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hello Everyone. i have an S20 Ultra 5G Exynos (G988b) variant. I wanted to play with some custom roms so unlocked the bootloader of the phone. (the warning of OEM unlock appears on each reboot). i am currently on official beta 3 of android 12. i wanna sell the phone and buy a Note 20 ultra. since here in my counrty people dislike phones with unlocked bootloaders and custom roms. just wanna know if relocking the bootloader will make the software/phone status as official?

how to CHECK if my bootloader is locked?

i bought a p2c72 version.... but it arrived flashed with p2a42 version, marshmallow and it does not find any OTA.
i think it is a fake/bad rom from banggood.
i wanna start modding but i don't know how to understand if my bootloader is unlocked. Could it be already unlocked... being already flashed with p2a42 rom ...... on p2c72 hardware?
No, you can flash an international stock rom over chinese rom without unlocking your bootloader.. You cannot find any update because the lenovo servers are down. If you want to check whther your bootloader is locked or unlocked then switch off your phone and switch on your phone, if an open lock sign appears on the boot screen then your phone is unlocked, and if you cant see a lock on the boot screen then it is locked
i checked into the OEM unlocking option inside the developer options...... i have a locked bootloader, i am waiting 14 days to unlock....

Pixel XL Bootloader unlocking scenario

Hello,
Just want quick help from the experts to ensure I dont end up buying a Verizon unit > 7.1 and end up with a brick which cannot be unlocked and rooted.
So I am on the hunt for a Google branded set. Just inform please ,
1. If it is a google branded set, then can the bootloader be unlocked on it regardless of any locking/unlocking done in the past, even if it is upgraded to the current 8.1 version ROM.
2. I have been eyeing a Google branded unit for which the bootloader was unlocked, then locked again then was flashed with the Beta version of the 8.1 ROM and finally the production version of the 8.1 stock ROM. Would it still be able to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks for filling my knowledge gaps.
Yes to both of your questions.

I can't speak for the Verizon version but if you pay for the EE version to be similar unlocked the toggle to unlock bootloader in developer options stops being greyed out

[disc] How many updates can we expect for the Honor View 20?

There's a pretty good deal on the phone, so I started thinking about it as an option. My main problem is the locked bootloader, so there would be no option to update it after Huawei decides to pull the plug. How many years of support can we expect for the device?
You can expect two major Android releases, and some security updates after that.
So is it confirmed this phone is bootloader locked for all regions? Really wanted this phone as an alternative to the s10, since I cant go without an unlocked bootloader

There is an option in the developer options to allow the oem to be unlocked. So who knows, anything can happen.

A505U: bootloader can be unlocked or not?

I am about to buy US version A50 (A505U)
I know Snapdragon version Samsung phones are not possible to unblock the bootloader, but A505U has Exynos CPU and the hardware is identical to all other counterparts.
Can US version bootloader be unlocked?

I would also like to know this. My old A505U is just off contract and the "OEM Unlock" switch is missing from the developer options menu. Additionally, none of the normal methods for getting it to appear have worked for me. (I have tried reflashing the stock firmware, the whole messing with the date&time and updating, factory reset + login + wait 2 to 14 days)
I have spent hours on the phone with both Samsung and my previous carrier, but with no results; none of their support people have the knowledge/are allowed to help with unlocking the bootloader.

Hello figuring out what device I have

The title probably isn't chest, but I purchased what was supposed to be the HD1905 off of eBay. Well I got sent a HD1907. It appears that is already the global firmware (I think) on it so I'm guessing they did the conversion without bootloader unlocking to pass it off as the unlocked version.
Anyways does it appear in correct and I can start flashing the hotdogb ROMs after I get my unlock code from OnePlus to unlock this bootloader? I have been away from Android for a long time and returned to Samsung so it's basically locked down too. Honestly I'm much happier with the OnePlus I just hate this theme they did in their new os so want to try some more AOSP style
If your bootloader is unlocked, you should have the warning boot splash screen saying this device is unsecure. If so, u don't need OnePlus unlock code. You should get into bootloader mode which will also say "unlocked" on the last line in red.

This is how to truly convert hd1907 from BL locked, sim-locked, T-Mobile to unlocked Global or International
Thanks guys. No the bootloader is still locked which is why I have requested the code from OnePlus. Figured I'd do it correctly which will also give my note 20 time to return in case I screw up . I guess to be safe I'll do the conversion myself and then flash a ROM. Now to decide which one I want to try first
Or i guess thank you HueyT I didn't even notice you were the only response
Yapp is best for hd1907 converted to global
