Greetings, I hope you all are doing great. My Galaxy S22 SM-S901E/DS is barely two months old, never dropped it, using it with the case since I bought it, but, yesterday, while cleaning it, I have noticed that there are a couple of tiny dust particles inside the upper two camera lenses. I have checked the barometer while putting some pressure on the phone, pressure changes instantaneously which means gaskets are in place and there is no air leakage. I can not even return it because I live in Pakistan and there is no such scheme or policy to get a new one or to refund the amount you paid.What could be the possible cause of this, anyone else having the same issue?

Well, I got my Nexus on thursday, but immediately I noticed a problem .
At the bottom, the glass is slightly tilted, on the right is raised above the frame, while on the left is recessed ...

I talked to the shop and they told me that they will solve the problem (repositioning of the glass) ...
What I wanted to know is what happen when the phone is opened, because on my current Nexus One, after first service, i have tons of dust entering between the display and the glass, and obviously I don't want the same thing also on this phone
So, do you have some experience with samsung's assistance ?

As long as it's purely cosmetic, I wouldn't risk (or waste the money) having some guy open the phone to even out the glass.
Mine is the exact same way at the top of the screen, and I only noticed mine a few weeks after having it just because I was looking very very closely at the screen.
However, the problem it's quite visible on my phone, the difference between the two corners is about 1 mm, and with the glass that protrudes from the frame is even more subject to scratching ...
I don't know what to do ...
there is no one who opened the phone ?
The what you call a "glass" is the whole screen, so there no any way you get dust particles under it, as there no "under" , maybe the glue that hold it not have not dry good, I remember SGS2 have some yellow tint, or maybe it was SGS1, anyway things like that do happen to some devices.

I have always found that touchscreen ("glass") and the display are two separate things
I'd return it for a replacement, that's an obvious build defect cite that you fear it'll either get worse or become a leak source.

Recently i received my Xperia Z1C White. After some careful checking (that happens when you are a techy) i noticed that the frame bends slightly inwards at the back side. I made a small example of what i mean on a photo. The problem is. If you can press those parts of the frame inwards, what happens with the waterproof seal between that part of the frame and the plastic bezel on top of this? Is this the case with every Xperia Z1C or is this a rare problem?
I suspect this also is the reason why you can hear a sound while pressing the screen slightly.

Same on my phone, but only the charging port side, and my phone squeaks too.
Me too - i can also press the frame inward. Oh my god, i´m a bit confused now...lets hope everything is ok and water is no problem for that...
*EDIT* But i have to say that this also is an issue to find on my Z1 !
Had a bit of convex shape on the back, barely noticeable. Hairdryer and pressing did the trick.
And no, don't be too harsh to the phone.
Glue seems to be unequally applicated.
Made in China after all.
I don't know why, but it doesn't seems any problem with my white phone.
I wonder hwo wide spread or problematic this is. On a normal phone this wouldnt be a problem at all. But on a waterproof phone every error can be a problem.
Mine seems to have the same microscopic gap on the back around the docking port.
I dunked it in a bowl of water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Took it out, dried it off - no problems.
The back of mine flexes when pressed hard in the center, but there are no gaps at the edges (even when pressed)
Is this something they'd accept a warranty replacement for? Where do you go about requesting such?

I think no warranty on this, they will probably consider it normal.
The problem with high precision designed devices like this and iphones is, that if something is a bit off you notice it easier.
I do regret it a bit that i didnt exchange it within the 7 days that it is possible to exchange a product after buying it in holland. But if it is widespread, then the case of a phone without the flexing frame/misaligned frame would be very small.
For anyone worried about the waterproof nature of their device, the only thing I can say is - test it. If the product works as intended you're golden. If not, you're covered by warranty.
I'm avid photographer and diver and with all new waterproof equipment, the first thing I do is test their waterproofing by either dunking them in the tub or the sink full of water.
You've bought a device with a capability which you should be able to trust. No need to find out 1 year later when you drop it in the toilet that your device is faulty.

Same here, only a small gap around docking port that can be ever so slightly pressed in under higher-than-normal pressure, never noticed it in every day handling.
Mine keeps pulling hairs out of my beard!

I believe there's a sensor-like surface when you open up one of the flaps (the micro-USB one I think). It's a small white square and it turns red when in contact with water.
This is how the service centres know that you are complying to proper usage. So do be careful not to get the internals wet

I have exchanged mine, still a little flex around the charging port but the back is definitely more flush. No small gap and less cracking noise when pressing the back as well. Very content with the built quality of this phone now.
I've had this phone for about three weeks and after around two weeks, I noticed that the pictures were starting to come out fuzzy and overexposed looking. Finally realized that there was dust under the glass covering the camera lens. Unfortunately, since it's under the glass, I'd have to take it apart to clean it (or possibly send it to Amazon for warranty, if they cover it).
The issue is that even if I take it apart and clean it, the issue will come up again and I'd rather not have to constantly take it apart and clean (especially since it happened only after two weeks). Does anyone have any suggestion to prevent this from happening again, besides not keeping it in my pocket?
This seems like a poor quality design to me. I carried my previous phone in my pocket for four years without any issues.

I also seem to have this problem. I need to look up how to open my fire phone, because my pictures aren't focusing well anymore. I now have a phone case, so I hope dust will stop going under the lens.
I got the same issue, and I actually send my phone for replacement. That being said, before sending it I took a compressed air can with the tiny tiny applicator and sprayed inside the microfone on the back and and the gap in the bezel, it blew away everything inside blocking the camera. I suspect there is a defect where there is too much gap on either the microphone and the back or the bezel and the back, so I just returned it anyways. If I had no warranty, that's what I would do, just be gentle with that microphone or it will die, the compressed air released at full throttle will break that microphone.
I had the same problem (is quite common), but it's easy to fix if you have a little bit of manual skills. Just buy a torx t3 screwdriver and a suction cup, open the phone, clean the glass in front of the camera and close. 5 minutes of work.
If you search on ifixit there's a fire phone teardown that explain how to open it. Simple and fast.

Initially I wanted to avoid opening up the phone, as to not void the warranty, but as it turns out, it's not covered anyway.
I've followed the iFixIt video and cleaned out the lens. So, it's good as new; however, this isn't something I want to be doing on a regular basis. Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the dust out, besides not keeping it in my pocket?

Unfortunately there's not much that can be done about this AFAIK. As stated above, there is a design flaw where the microphone on the back let's in the dust, so unless you cover it, you'll end up needed to clean it every once in a while. But I've also noticed not too much distortion in the photos.
iFixit has a great pictures and guides for dismantling the fire phone. This is what I used to open mine up to clean the camera glass. Note it is well worth cleaning the lens as the camera auto focus works much faster when clean.

I do the same every other month. Very annoying. At least with the right screwdriver and a suction cup is pretty fast and easy to open and clean it.
Next time I open mine to clean, I am going to try an remedy the issue by adding a foam washer (or my DIY version of double sided sticky foam tape cut into a washer) around the lens..
When I bought my LG G4 (818) over a year ago,I could take night shots just point and click.
I had the circuit board replaced (bootloader problem) and for the last few weeks I get flare on the whites.So much that it's not worth taking a photo.
Even in manual the results are the same.
As you can see in the pics the white and the lights flare,(please don't say its normal as this result has just appeared)like I say a few months ago I could take night shot and no problems

Hello madjester67, what you are seeing has been one of 2 problems WHICH I both experienced myself:
1. Easiest to solve: clean the lense.
How to diagnose: take your finger and wipe over the camera glas. The glowing stripes will be 90 degree to the direction of whiping.
When on the go I sometimes take just whatever clothes I am wearing, some work just fine. Or get a proper microfiber clothe
2. It might be scratches on the camera cover glas. They will stay independent of whiping. And they will always have the same angle towards the photos x an y axis. My scratched lense cover had certain markings, say 2 thin long rays to the button left corner and a thick shorter ray to the right corner.
How to diagnose: most reliable but a bit difficult and dangerous to the camera module: remove the current Cover (which means to remove the buttons too). If these artifacts remain, it wasn't the lense cover.
Why dangerous? Losing warranty (if support figures out), you might cause scratches or even break parts or WORSE you could damage the camera which is unprotected from the outer world without the cover. Even if it is just a small dust particle... how will you get that out of the actual lense without damage?
How to solve: buy a new camera glas or the whole glas+buttons part where you need only screw driver and not fiddle around with adhesive tapes. I got mine for about 15€ at rounded.com. It didn't have the proper color (grey instead of gold) but hey, Who cares?

I work in a shop environment with lots of titanium, magnesium, steel, and aluminum dust. Would this be an issue with the fold 3's inner screen or is it stong enough to withstand the metal dust being in my pocket Tweakbox Appvalley https://vlc.onl.
You said the keyword "dust." I don't think the screen would be the prime victim-- but if you are concerned about the abrasive properties of fine particles, I'd probably want to have a source of compressed air to sweep the surface. I get to the more concerning elements below-- but I suspect that those can be addressed.
I don't think the display itself is more fragile than any other modern phone's coated surface. But I might be concerned about abrasive particles resting on the inner display surface while open and then being "stored" there when the clamshell is closed. You'd be a better judge of whether static electricity would make these particles more stubborn to blow away. And also you'd have to judge how profuse those particles are in the working environment.
I'd also have the same concern-- but to a lesser extent-- about the hinge area. The Z Fold 3 has a pretty good hinge cover. But I can't guess whether particles measured in microns might be a stubborn problem. You use the word dust rather than shavings so this might be a concern. Some cases have hinge covers. Mine does not*. I was not impressed by the design and protection offered by the ones I saw when I researched them. (Extensively before I actually had experience with my own Z Fold 3.)
Now on to that keyword "dust." I have had my Z Fold 3 for four weeks now. I flew from the US to Asia and I noticed an increasing tendency for incoming calls to be muffled and ultimately barely audible. I brought the device to the local Samsung Customer Service Center. (That's something that hardly exists in the US except in Glendale, CA and maybe in the NY Metro area.) The associate took my Z Fold 3 and went into the back room-- presumably where the techs are sweating away. She came back and had my hubby call me. Sure enough the sound was back to it's pristine state. She told me the problem was due to dust in the narrow slot just above the top of the phone's inner display. (And I have not been in an environment like your workplace-- but I live in a US desert city.)
I asked her whether canned air would work in the future. She seemed skeptical but I cannot be sure whether it was a language comprehension issue, a lack of experience with the Fold series-- or both. But I can tell you: whatever they did in the back room must have been simple because she was only back there for 2 minutes or so. Half of that must have been describing the customer complaint.
Can you think of a simple air flow chamber you could create or repurpose to periodically "freshen up" the phone?
* I got the very pricey Supcase Unicorn Beetle case. I never heard of this supplier before. But after reading customer reviews on that "smiley" site and looking at YouTube reviews/demos, I concluded that it provided good solid protection on everything other than the hinge. And as a bonus it has a well situated compartment for the Z Fold Edition S Pen. It's easy to access. So clever that I ordered the S Pen even though I am not a very stylus-oriented person. The stylus stays snugly in the compartment so I won't lose it even when the compartment is open.
I hope I gave you enough to reflect on. Feel free to probe more.
Oh-- here's another thing you didn't ask about: am I sorry I spent that much? OK-- I got a great deal from Samsung with tradein so it made the price more palatable. But nevertheless-- I traveled to Asia over 22 hours with my brand new toy. Left my laptop, mini tablet and old phone home. I discovered that the Z Fold 3 will work nicely with the Logitech K400 series keyboards-- and their embedded touchpads. Wow!
