5G is available only for officially supported countries by Google. So if Grecce isnt, than you wont have 5G

Google locked the phone to work only on supported countries.
There is a petition to the European parliament to force Google to unlock 5G in other countries. Because they are breaking the European standard.

Thank you all..
Locked 5G i think is the best answer as soon as you can have 5G When you unlock the phone..

I found no official information on the dual sim version I presume will be available at some point.
Anyone has some cues?

It is available but only in some markets, e.g. Russia, China and Middle East. The model is SM-N930FD (at least for one of the versions).
It is available for pre-order from sellers in UAE with shipping Aug 6, e.g. here or here

The warranty is not worldwide unfortunately, so you would have to ship it back for repairs - or pay for it.

I live in Europe (Denmark). I have imported allot of phones over the years, as I need Dual Sim. I currently have the S7 Edge Dual Sim imported from UAE, and it does not have warranty coverage here, but I have not been needing it either. Actually of the about fifteen phones I have imported, I have only needed to use the warranty once. It was a HTC One M7 and I they actually repaired it here in Denmark at no cost, even thu I had no invoice and it had only Hong Kong warranty. The did so of goodwill, so I would not count on it to always be the case, but it was a known problem (purple tint in camera) so that might be why.
I got note 5 dual sim from tawain.. Last year no issues either.. What's you're import tax in Denmark

25% VAT + a fee (around 20 EUR). But I normally arrange with the seller to lower the price on the invoice to 50-100$ which lowers the cost allot

Yeah — that's not the answer there: it just says LTE on that page, nothing more…
@remiotte — what does it say on the box? It always lists the individual LTE frequencies.

Does anyone know if it will support 3/4G in the second sim? I can't seem to find info on this model anywhere.

If this page is correct, it would be a major breakthrough — so far all the previous Dual—SIM Notes had bands missing, so they were not usable in Europe and the US — this one seems to have them all…

So reading this correctly, it says it covers all EXCEPT band 2300 for AT&T. How can I check where this band is used?

Same chips as the S7 edge duos => same LTE bands, it's safe for you to check the S7 edge duos specification for this data.
A few questions for those who have their SM-N930FD:
- Does the second SIM support HSPA / LTE or is it still only GSM?
- Does *#2263# work? You can check the band selection

I haven't tried a second sim in it yet, so i don't know about the first question.
But for the second one - no; "invalid MMI code".

Does G9600/9650 support project treble?

Does the mainland China/Hongkong variant 9600/9650 S9/S9+ support project treble? They are bootloader unlockable Snapdragon versions. If yes, GSI can be flashed? Thank you.
All phones that launched with Oreo are required to support to Project Treble so I'd assume they are.
Either way you can reference this link to check for yourself

The thing is I don't have a China model S9 or plus...so can't check. Everything in China works differently or rather independently from the rest of the world... it's a very big LAN.
Chinese models don't have google so I was not very sure. I guess they don't pay google for anything because all phones' UI are heavily customised....
So if anyone who has a mainland China or even a Hongkong version phone please confirm...

So Huawei announced the Huawei Mate 20 X, but in what countries is it going to be released? They are not very clear about that. Seeing the video's it appears to be a global release because all Google apps are already installed.

pdaplaza.ca (a Canadian company) has the 6/128 Global variant and 8/256 China variant for sale with shipping the first week of November. Can someone confirm there will be a Global version of the 8/256 model? With the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 the 8/256 was China only, while they also offer a Global version of their 6/128 model. Does Huawei follow a similar sales strategy of reserving their high end model for the Chinese mainland market?
Tweeted Huawei UK and they have said no release in UK (as of yet!!). Prices is listed in Euros so there is a Euro / Global version being released but have no idea in what regions. I also asked this but no reply yet.
Once again the UK is getting screwed ! Off to the black market to pay inflated prices and import tax (again ...) !!
Hi guys,
Any update on availability in the UK or Europe?
I am also looking for the Mate 20 X this phone it is amazing .
my daily phone is at the moment Samsung s5 it so terrible to use this phone and UI.
Huawei is so lazy, they announce the phone in London with euro price but doesn't list the release countries. Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro pre-orders are everywhere. I also asked many Huawei countries on Twitter, but no single response.

can the china variant be used on our canadian bands for 4g lte?
can the bootloader be unlocked on the china variant?
is it true that the 8gb version will ship with a free flip case and m-pen?
So I had a response from Huawei, which said:
"Thank you for contacting Huawei Support UK.
At the moment the Mate 20X is not available in Europe, we do not have official information regarding an ETA for the release, furthermore we cannot confirm with certainty that this model will even be released for the European market.
Please return to us, in the near future for additional information on the Mate 20 X model.
Meanwhile, of course, should you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us."

Question December security EMEA - A4

I live in the Middle East and received OTA 016.A1.
I was wondering what is the difference in A4 for EMEA, does it activate VoLTE/5G for unsupported countries or just a code name?
Thanks

I flashed A1 at first myself and it seemed to be fine but when I noticed that A4 was for UK, IRL,FR, DE etc I went and flashed A4 to be safe. No issues as of yet.
On my pixel 6 pro 256gb from the German Google store via ota it automatically downloaded the A1 firmware ... I don't notice any kind of problem though ....
Same here.no probs with A1
I just flashing OTA A4 manually to i be in safe when i out the signal not drop
