I found no official information on the dual sim version I presume will be available at some point.
Anyone has some cues?

It is available but only in some markets, e.g. Russia, China and Middle East. The model is SM-N930FD (at least for one of the versions).
It is available for pre-order from sellers in UAE with shipping Aug 6, e.g. here or here

The warranty is not worldwide unfortunately, so you would have to ship it back for repairs - or pay for it.

I live in Europe (Denmark). I have imported allot of phones over the years, as I need Dual Sim. I currently have the S7 Edge Dual Sim imported from UAE, and it does not have warranty coverage here, but I have not been needing it either. Actually of the about fifteen phones I have imported, I have only needed to use the warranty once. It was a HTC One M7 and I they actually repaired it here in Denmark at no cost, even thu I had no invoice and it had only Hong Kong warranty. The did so of goodwill, so I would not count on it to always be the case, but it was a known problem (purple tint in camera) so that might be why.
I got note 5 dual sim from tawain.. Last year no issues either.. What's you're import tax in Denmark

25% VAT + a fee (around 20 EUR). But I normally arrange with the seller to lower the price on the invoice to 50-100$ which lowers the cost allot

Yeah — that's not the answer there: it just says LTE on that page, nothing more…
@remiotte — what does it say on the box? It always lists the individual LTE frequencies.

If this page is correct, it would be a major breakthrough — so far all the previous Dual—SIM Notes had bands missing, so they were not usable in Europe and the US — this one seems to have them all…

So reading this correctly, it says it covers all EXCEPT band 2300 for AT&T. How can I check where this band is used?

Same chips as the S7 edge duos => same LTE bands, it's safe for you to check the S7 edge duos specification for this data.
A few questions for those who have their SM-N930FD:
- Does the second SIM support HSPA / LTE or is it still only GSM?
- Does *#2263# work? You can check the band selection

But for the second one - no; "invalid MMI code".

I have decided to pull the trigger on a galaxy tab s 10.5 but don't know which model to get. I want the exynos with lte that works on at&t. Is there a model that has both the exynos and lte support for AT&T, or should I purchase the tablet directly from AT&T? Root is also a concern my note edge is AT&T and has no root in sight due to locked bootloader. I want to order the model that has it all. Any input is appreciated.
I have the T-807 on VZW and there is no root method for my tab, so I'd say avoid the T-807 if root is something important to you. The 807 (for some reason) in the fastest and smoother of those I have played with tho

Yup they only ship to the UK strangely considering the tab comes from Hong Kong. I might just settle for the T-Mobile version. I wonder if the performance is much different between the snapdragon and exynos. I really want the 32gb one but no GSM support, hopefully lollipop update comes soon enough and I can write whatever app data I want to SD card.
OK now I feel stupid, I assumed that all of the US carriers would have the snapdragon version just like all US Samsung phones, but according to T-Mobile and AT&T sites both are the exynos versions. I will be getting the T-Mobile version so bootloader will be unlocked and root/custom recovery will be easier to obtain. Thanks for the input.

best deal at gearbest
You can buy at gearbest with 12 months warranty versus 6 months for less money, 164 euros with promo code "CellPhones8"
Hope it helps
I am a little confused here.
Both TD and gear best carry the 1 pro. Gearbest shows that the phone has band 7 (2600) and until today, tiny reflected that as well.
6 days after ordering from tinydeal, I have received an email from them stating the phone does NOT support band 7. Every other seller and device specification site says bands 3&7 are supported.
Finding official documentation has been a bit of a daunting task.
Advice, anyone?
I'm kind of confused about the phone, too. There seem to be three models floating around in stores, a regular one with bands B1/B3/B7/B38/B39/B40/B41, one with B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B12/B17/B25/B26, and an International one with different bands listed as well. Yet the manufacturer only seems to list the B1/3/7/38/39/40/41 model. Is this true? Does the second model I listed with B2/4/5/17 have full AT&T LTE support in the US?
Im really not sure. Too many conflicting reports. I think I'm going to cancel my order in the morning. I asked about the bands on the official tech support Le forum, and they referred me to their Hong Kong forum while completely dodging the question.
Update: A forum moderator sent me to the 'official' sales site here: http://cn.lemall.com/le_1pro/parameter.html
Three variants listed. All three have the same FDD-LTE bands of 1/3/7
In today's email from tinydeal they told I that the phone ordered supports B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B12/B17/B25/B26.
I'm kinda torn now.. at under $200 it's not a huge risk.. But I'm already kinda tired of dealing with the crap of finding just the basics on this device. How much harder will it be when I have it in hand and need to do something more advanced?

I just received mine from Coolicool today. Popped in my Cricket sim card and LTE Discovery lists me as being connected to Band 17 right now. This must be an updated model, as it appears that the newly listed bands are correct. Maybe this is a sign that they're actually moving forward with releasing the phone in the US? If anyone suspects that LTE Discovery might be wrong, please point me to a better utility.
For the record, I purchased mine from Coolicool. As of today, all of the other models have been removed (the two with the different bands listed and the international version) and this is the sole model up for sale. It won't allow me to post a link because I'm new here, but it's the featured product on the upper right side of the screen.

The option is missing from the first menu. The second menu says CDMA and has a box you can check. I have no way of knowing what it did or if it works, as I don't live in an area that using Band 20. All I know is that I'm definitely getting Band 2 and 17, which haven't been available up until this new batch started shipping out apparently. The specs on the site I bought from specifically says no Band 20 support, so I'm guessing this doesn't work.

I cancelled the order, ordered another from gearbest that did indeed work on bands 3&7 ( 7 being the important one for me - Free mobile in central France). Sold it after a couple days because the phone was just too damned big and the software was a mess.
Actually thinking of buying another one as a spare. My Nexus 5 did something wonky yesterday and I don't want to have it fail and get caught in a situation where I don't have a phone.

No, I decided not to order another one. I thought I could get past my dislike of 5.5 inch phones, but just too big for daily use for me. 5.2 inch seems to be the sweet spot, so that's where I'm focusing my attention at the moment - though that is presenting it's own set of challenges.
I'm using a nexus 5 at the moment. I would like a little better battery life and a little larger screen, but I'm not dying for a new phone at the moment.
If I do find myself in a spot where I have to replace my phone and I can't find a 5.2 inch that checks all the boxes (big one being budget), I'll probably just stick with a 5 inch phone.
Right now the top two are the xiaomi mi4c and the huawei p8.
I would rather go with an Mi5 or P9 but they're out of my price range.

Both versions will get updates and work as if they identical. The only difference you will see is performance and battery. In which snapdragon outperforms on note 10. Both support same LTE band, so yes Virgin 4g should work.

Actually, it kind of depends on which Snapdragon model you are getting.
N975U/U1/W have pretty much every band under the sun, but are single-SIM.
N9750 is missing a few bands compared to the above, but apparently covers everything in use in the UK. It is dual-SIM.

I think the last October patch came a few days ago, where the Exynos model got it a few weeks back. So no! They have their own update policy not mirroring the Exynos dates.

My device came brand new. Not sure if they have opened the box before but it seemed out of the box.
Not sure how I can test 4K videos. Can you share a link and I can try.

i am also looking into getting one in uk . how is the phone after you guys have been using after a few months ?
Hi all,
I live in Europe and am planning to buy a Snapdragon S20+ from HongKong.
I've checked which network bands the HK phone supports and all bands I need are there.
Before placing the order I want to check with you guys if I have a clear picture of all limitations that come with buying a HK S20+ in Europe.
The list I compiled so far:
- No Samsung Pay (I don't care, won't use it)
- VOLTE may or may not work depending on your carrier (I don't care, I barely call and if I call I don't care about the quality)
- No warranty in Europe .
- Difference in timing of updates
Anything else I should take into account?

Carrier Aggregation may suffer, which will reduce download speeds. I have a Hong Kong variant, VoLTE, WiFi Calling and Samsung Pay work however I'm in the US, your results may vary as you mentioned depending on the carrier. Don't expect you can modify the CSC, you can't change it. Samkey doesn't support HK variants and OXM, which allows Preconfiguration changes for different European CSC's isn't embedded in the software. Updates have come in a timely fashion every month and there's no Carrier Branded Bloatware. Even though the device has some limitations I've been pleased with the HK variant, anything but Exynos!

Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I'll go for the HK version then. Don't see any reason why I shouldn't.
Actually Samsung Pay should work in Europe flawlessly, only thing that won't work is rewards. To be more precise, rewards do work, but the rewards shown are the ones of the phone's original country...
As for the Samkey CSC change limitation, I remember reading a post here about a user that changed CSC from Taiwan to Hong Kong using Samkey...

Good to know. I'm currently not using or planning to use Samsung Pay but that might change in the future.
Regarding the CSC limations, I don't see any reason why I would need to change the CSC.
Reason why you may want to think twice is that in the event if you get unit with poor uniformity seller may not be willing to replace it as easily
How do you plan on buying it?

I bought mine from T-Dimension. Just be sure to order from their .de or .co.uk site and you don't have to pay any customs. Cheeper then the Exynos version here in Sweden. Took about 2 weeks to get the phone. First they ship it from HK to their warehouse in UK then from there to me.

I have ordered the phone from WondaMobile.
They have the HongKong Snapdragon version for the same price as the Exynos in my country.
Also no customs are being charged as they will ship it from/via the UK.
I have ordered S20 ultra also from WondaMobile. I was on 6th of May and I'm hopping the delivery will not take to much time. I also hope I don't have to send it back because of broken camera glass or other issues which s20 ultra suffers...
Hello
My S20 Ultra comes to WondaMobile and is amazing (model 512/16GB)
Samsung Pay and Volte work perfectly.
Photos are fantastic.
I also have the Snapdragon version
Get it. I had the Exynos and it had a poor battery life plus other disadvantages

Samsung pay and Google services work.
5g is ok for France
Hello, what is the CSC, what is the use of it and why someone would change it? Are the european languages supported in this version?
I need help understanding all the differences between the various S20 Plus 5G versions. I live in Italy and I want to buy the Snapdragon international unlocked but I miss some points in using an international version here where we can only find the Exynos one.
Speaking about the various names, so far I understood
Snapdragon 865 – 12GB RAM:
SM-G986U - Factory Unlocked from US
SM-G986N - South Korea (?)a lot of bloatware and a custom intro animation, so not the original and "pure" Android version(?)
SM-G9860, SM-G9868 - China, Hong Kong, Japan, Brazil
I've found a good price for the SM-G986N in a European store but I'm missing some details:
My phone will update as soon as the update is rolled out in Korea? And then about the bloatware, easily removable to make the phone lighter and snappier? Regarding this I was wondering if I can flash the US firmware or is it impossible due to hardware differences between the SM-G986N and the SM-G986U? I really miss this point, if there only are software-related differences between devices with the same CPU or also hardware ones.
I've found sometimes the US version in some stores but there were crazy prices or very limited availability.
Which version would you guys suggest me to go for? Thanks in advance for any answer.
EDIT #1 after chieco's answer: rootable phone isn't a priority
you need to get this model SM-G9860 because it has the least bloatware, SnapDragon aaaaaand most important, it can be rooted! Also since your warranty is handled thru the seller and not Samsung you don't need to worry about knox effecting your warranty.

Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn't actually thinking aboutroot, but knowing I can do that if I want is certainly an added value!

SM-G9860 will get OTA Updates regardless of your Service Provider, it's Dual-SIM unlike South Korean Variant, it's less expensive than the SM-G986N or SM-G986U and it's as close as you'll get to a pure Android Device when compared to any other Samsung offerings. The only real disadvantages are it may not be 5G Compatible depending on your Service Provider and Warrant Repairs typically aren't handled by the seller unless you buy it directly from Samsung.
SM-GM9860 is the one you need.
I'm using it in the Netherlands and everything works like a charm.
Please do check beforehand whether the device supports all network bands that your telecom provider is operating on.
Forget about the SM-986N. It is single SIM and has a lot of Korean bloatware.

I've only heard about Samsung Pay, it's the only feature that won't work here in Europe with the SM-GM9860 right? (There's Google Pay, so no problems with that)
All the other "Samsung's" ones like Knox, Pass etc. should work normally as far as I know. Can you confirm?
I checked the bands here in Italy and all should work normally. Thanks for sharing your opinion!

Did you get it in a Dutch (online) shop (if so, where?) or did you import it?

I'm not sure about Samsung Pay.
I've read some stories (can't recall on which forum) from European users who confirmed that Samsung Pay works fine on their Snapdragon S20.
I'm not using it myself so cannot confirm.
I can confirm though that the other features that you're mentioning work perfectly.

I imported from HongKong via Wondamobile.com.
I can recommend this shop. They're very fast in shipping out the phone (took about a week to arrive), you don't pay any customs fees and they are very helpful in answering any questions you have.
The only thing I recommend to buy yourself if you order from Hongkong is a wallcharger that is compatible with the powersockets in your country.
Samsung Pay does work, you're only getting Hong Hong ads.
