Very slow charging using portable powerbank

I have a zendure a2 which used to charge my exynos note 7 extreme quickly but is painfully slow on the pixel xl. (Over 3 hours). Any ideas how to speed this up?

Easy, get portable battery that supports USB-PD. The battery that you have doesn't even appear to support QC, much less USB-PD. I wouldn't expect that battery to charge a Pixel at anything above 5W ([email protected]), maybe even less. THe Pixel is designed for fast charging via USB-PD spec chargers. It's still undetermined how the Pixel will react to QC chargers, though it is arguably not designed for them.
Here's the list from Benson Leung and others that catalogs what chargers have been found to work and which ones haven't.
(Post count not high enough to post the link, so you'll have to search for it.)

QC3 and DnD question

Hi guys,
So I have a question regarding QC3.0. Does this work on Pixel XL?
I've read so many conflicting arguments. If I have a QC3 car charger and portable battery pack will it work fast?
Also my DnD is not switching off since the last update for November.
It enables itself at night but wont switch off in the morning. I have removed all the DnD profiles and recreated them from scratch but the same thing happens. Any ideas?

The Pixel and Pixel XL do not support QC3.0. They do charge very quickly with the included chargers.

OK so they use USB-C PD? But would it still charge really quick on a QC3 charger?

I have a qc3.0 battery bank and it just says charging , idk how how fast its charging tho

No it does not. This phone charges really fast without it tho.

Nexus 5x charger compatibility

Does anyone know if I can use my old Nexus 5x charger? I was reading on a few threads that the OG pixels did not work with the Nexus chargers and wanted to see if that held true with the pixel 2.

Don't know why a PD charger wouldn't work on the Pixel or Pixel 2. They may be lower wattage but might not charge as fast.

FWIW I've got a dozen miscellaneous USB-C chargers kicking around and they've all worked fine on the Pixel 2. These include what Google was selling initially with the Nexus 6P and the separate 3A chargers which were available via the Google Store at the time.
I haven't found any charger or cord around here that won't work. So far nothing has blown up. That's always nice.

Yes, the Nexus 5x charger works with my Pixel 2 and does register as rapidly charging.

Yes, I used it last night to charge my phone

I have 2 Nexus 5x chargers and neither seem to work. In both cases they show 'charging', but after several hours the battery is at the same level.

My 5X charger works great.

I have a Vinsic USB Type-C cable and wall charger that worked fine on the Nexes 5x. I tried it on the Pixel 2 and it can't seem to charge. The lighting bolt in the battery icon that usually indicates charging just flashes but it doesn't seem to be charging the Pixel 2 at all.
Does anyone with Vinsic USB Type-C cable and wall charger have this issue with the Pixel 2?
Are certain brands of Type-C cables and chargers that were compatible with Nexus 5x no longer compatible with Pixel 2?

i actually haven't taken my P2XL charger out of the box, because I only charge my P2XL on my N5X chargers.
They always register as rapid charging, fyi.

Wireless Charging for the Pixel 2 XL, Question

I have tried three different wireless charge receivers with my Pixel 2 XL. I get the same issue with each of them.. when trying to charge, the battery indicator drops, not raises. My charger indicates that it is charging, the phone shows charging, but it is draining the battery.
Any thoughts? Has anyone successfully added this functionality to the Pixel 2 XL?

The Pixel doesn't support wireless charging natively. You'd need a new case like a Mophie to do it.

That is why I bought a wireless receiver. Same one I used on my V20. Which worked fine. It provides a charge current to the USB C plug.

Question Minimal wireless charging distance

Now, I have tried 3 different phone cases on Pixel 6 Pro and it would not charge with any of them. Pixel 3 XL does charge with those cases on (does not fit the phone but it's not a case issue). Does anyone have similar wireless charger on Pixel 6 Pro to test it?
This what I have does charge and on max distance about 1.5mm and nothing between phone and charger.
