I've just updated my rooted phone from OOS 11.2.5.5.LE15BA to 11.2.6.6.LE15BA using the update found on the repo thread of this forum. I've checked the MD5 of the download file after download.
After the update, before rebooting, I patch the updated slot with magisk.
After reboot, some texts in the settings are bad. My phone is set to French, but it's the same in English (screenshots attached).
I already had that problem on a previous update, and it "solved" itself when the phone decided to stop booting and I had to factory reset it.
Anyone got the same problem and is there a way to solve it without the factory reset?
Thanks.
First screenshot, the name of the settings menu is wrong, second screenshot, note the following name of that option, third screenshot, the real option under the name Photo ID.

Hello!
I recently updated to 4.3 and rooted the device using Odin, however the default camera app is no longer responding - it gives me the following error message: "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped working".
Things I've done to try and fix it:
1- cleaned cache and data but that didn't solve the problem.
2- also reset the device to factory through settings but it didn't work either
3- re-install camera.apk (wouldn't install using Titanium)
4- install new stock camera from 4.3 rom (installed but got the same message)
5- manually replaced the files for the camera (system/app/SamsungCamera.apk and SamsungCamera.odex) AND Gallery (SecGallery2013.apk and SecGallery2013.apk) with new ones
Issue still persists...
Any ideas? Pls help.
Thanks!
if you're using xpose mod and wanam update to the latest wanam.

Thanks but it didn't work.
I got it solved today thou in an unexpected way by actually using the Back up feature within ROM Manager - the phone went into back up mode (like recovery mode where you see the little android robot and command lines), waited until the back up process was finished then rebooted without choosing the option to "fix possible root loss" warning. After that camera was finally back again.
Then I recalled that the last time I've done this back up through Rom Manager there was some sort of problem during the process which interrupted it so I realize now that somehow it affected the camera (have no idea how they relate thou) - but the fact is that as soon as it successfully finished the back up the issue was automatically fixed. Weird, stupid and very rare, I know... At least is fixed!

Not to thread jack, but do you have the apk for the stock camera app from 4.3? Thanks in advance
I've had exactly this same problem. Do I have to run a backup to fix it?
Hi guys
My box for some unkown reason did a factory reset by its self.
Its rooted with the latest rbox pre rooted fimware (rbox menu on boot)
So I did a restore in clockwork mod. After the reboot It went back to asking me to choose my language and the tutorial started.
Any ideas?
This may now mean I have to go through the process of install the google play store again.
May be a coincidence but I had just installed the Teamviewer Quicksupport app
Bah!
Thanks

Odd it would do it by itself. I don't know much about the app you installed. Remember to pm disable updates after factory reset. But, when I forgot to do that it would just boot into recovery when amazon tried to push an update. If you didn't disable them, its possible you selected to restore it when your TV was off...not likely though since there are failsafes (select it then confirm) Only reason I responded is to remind you to disable them again. I forgot to last time.

it means the final downloaded file is corrupt. You should be on good wifi to make the download.
Hi there. I'm new to Xiaomi/MIUI and would appreciate any help with the following issues.
Mi 10T – Global Stable 12.0.8 – stock launcher – MIUI optimization ON – de-bloated with ADB
I can't see how much storage space is being taken up by each installed app/package. They all show a "0" value.
I can't find Running Services under Developer Options.
I can't permanently disable usage access for System Launcher. It re-enables itself once I exit the settings menu.
App icons aren't updating. For example, Gmail, Maps, Photos and FB Messenger still display their old icons, despite me using the latest versions of those apps.
Google Play still displays the older menu style, despite me using the latest version of that app.
System Apps Updater doesn't detect OTA updates, despite several newer versions of MIUI 12 system apps existing on APK Mirror. This issue presented itself before I began de-bloating.
Updater doesn't detect OTA updates. I had to sideload 12.0.8 in order to update from the phone's original OS version (12.0.7). This issue presented itself before I began de-bloating.
Full disclosure: I'd rather not turn off MIUI optimization to see if that resolves any of these issues, as I'm not keen on resetting permissions (again).
Edit:
When I uninstall an app via the app drawer, a gap is left in its place. The icon of the uninstalled app is still there, it just turns invisible. I can uninstall it over and over, but it doesn't go away until I reboot the phone.
There doesn't appear to be a way to turn off the phone's equalizer. I can't use Blackplayer's equalizer until I do so. I don't know if the same applies to other music players.
Edit:
There doesn't appear to be a way to add emergency contacts or access them via the lockscreen emergency dialer. Emergency information (com.android.emergency) exists within the list of installed apps.
I'm on Global 12.0.7, unlocked, rooted and debloated. Stock recovery. What did you exactly do to update to 12.0.8? I do not want to wipe and I'm a little confused with the procedure...

I downloaded it from here, went to About Phone in Settings, clicked on the OS version number in the top left, clicked on the 3-dot menu in the top right and installed it via Mi File Manager.
AFAIK, you can only use Mi File Manager to install the update via this method. If you've disabled or uninstalled it, nothing will happen when you click that menu option – even if you've installed another file manager.

I just tried this. It reboots and starts updating... but goes from 0.X% to 100% in two seconds, then it boots and it's still 12.0.7

Finally I booted into TWRP and flashed 12.0.9 from there, no issues.
Hi folks, I need your help. Every time an update comes out for my poco f3 and I update, I have to do a reset right away because I always get the message saying to restart now or update tonight. Either way it never disappears and I can only update to a new version if I format it after updating. Happen to anyone else? Hug
Are you on Stock? Locked Bootloader?
Yes, stock. Now 12.5.8 Miui global Rkheuxm but allways from start have to do format after update.
Hi..are you flashing the correct rom? As "eu" is the European version "mi" is the global one..sorry had to ask..
I haven't installed any ROMs, I've just been updating whenever an update comes out. I have the equipment as it came from the factory, but update, and everytime I update after that it restarts and it always remains options that I mentioned in the first post and without formatting after updating, I can no longer search for updates. I have bootloader locked
