The regular 10T's image quality is pure garbage in all modes. Is the Pro much better? Might trade up if so.
Seeking opinions based on personal usage.
I've had very good results on the 10T Pro with various GCam versions. Resolution is astounding in good lighting and focus. The stock camera seemed ok though with little use, but didn't seem to create the full 27MP images from the main sensor.
10T Pro images in good light are good for stock and gcam, maybe stock produces even better pics in good light.
At night, gcam is better.
Overall picture quality is great on my 10T Pro!

Can any I compare ZUI Cam with Gcam...??
In low light Gcam is much better with very low noise compared to zuicam and better colors as well, gcam also has portrait mode which is not there in zuicam, In good lighting conditions gcam is still better but not by much, but beware that gcam takes quite a bit of HDR+ processing time and lacks pro mode as well

I think it is subjective, because for me the ZUI came is better compared to any other camera.
The speed of the focus, then the speed to take photos, working slow-mo etc.
And I did notice more noise when using gcam in low light situations, even with camera2.
I'm using redmi note 8 for about 3 months. And i took pretty pictures with stock app. I tried gcam after I've seen a lot of people are using it. I mean why? First of all i couldn't use my ultra wide or macro lens. And ultra wide really captures nice landscape pics. What am i missing? I am doing a wrong thing with sticking to stock app? I just need enlightening
GCam produces higher quality pictures as far as i used it. The HDR mechanism is much more refined, the low light performance is miles better than the stock app, and you can use all the lenses using the right GCam build.

I'll add, with the right GCam build, and with an unlocked bootloader paired with Camera2api mod.
Hi all,
I was happy with my Note 8 Pro until I tested Night Mode.
As you can see from the attached photo the sky is with very bad quality. A lot of and huge grains all over the sky. Even my 10 year old phone did better job. The normal mode made a bit better sky with a bit less grain but still far from acceptable image.
For comparison I will show you the sample photo from GSMArena.
Any suggestions why my sky looks so grainy and bad quality? Do I have a faulty phone? I would prefer complete black sky (as samples from GSMArena) instead of this.

I have same issue , it's the same scenario where the pro is not better than non pro (usually soc difference) , gcam only fully supported on qualcomm snapdragon phones even 14nm ones , i tried pixel experience plus gcam and it was clearly better than stock camera , idk if it will work with you because i didn't use night mode. a friend of mine has a 10 year old galaxy phone and his 28 nm snapdragon phone takes better pics than stock miui 11 a10 camera app , when we were comparing photos he was surprised.
My twin brother who has a Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro suggested me (I've a Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite) to use Gcam as the camera app.
But after I watched some comparison videos I'm confused because the pictures are kinda the same.
So does Gcam on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite really make better pictures?
In my experience it depends on the situation. Gcam is usually better in low light and especially at night. Stock camera takes better/more natural photos during the day. Gcam often provides much more details in photos, which might be welcome in some situations, but for example in portrait photography it's very distracting.
All in all, if you want "point & shoot" (or use other than main lens), use stock app. If you're willing to switch back and forth, install also gcam and use it when needed.
I recently got an A22 SM-A225F 128GB global version of the phone, mainly because of the OIS camera, otherwise I'd probably've gone with the A23 completely different version which has a worser EIS camera.
But I'm slightly unimpressed by the camera, was hoping for better quality focus and sharpness, colors are great and shoots ok videos, but it's not quite there.
Can anyone give any tips of how to get the best out of the camera? MAybe a different app that incorporates the OIS optical image stabilization?
