Samsung Health Monitor "no compatible watch found" pairing with GWA2 - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Yesterday I replaced my Motorola x4 phone with a Samsung Galaxy A71 5g. I repaired with my Samsung Active Watch 2 with no problem. I now want to enable ecg but cannot see the Samsung Health Monitor app in Galaxy store using either the watch or the phone. The watch and phone are latest level. I am in the USA. What am I doing wrong? TIA.

Initiate the process On your watch, where you should already have a Samsung Health Monitor app. If so, Tap on it then select Open on Watch (or something like that). See if it prompts you to install the Phone version of Samsung Health Monitor app (or gives you a URL to download and install).
I did the process so long ago that I can't quite remember how it worked. I think that the process was made even easier after Tizen 5.5.x.x came out.
You're in the U.S. but did you purchase a U.S. GWA2? Also, is your GWA2 software up to date? Is your Galaxy Store app up to date?
I've attached a picture of the icon to look for...

After spending hours on the phone with Samsung, it turns out that the active 2 I bought at a local Costco is not a US model, but rather an international version. I will be visiting Costco tomorrow, but I don't expect anything since the watch was bought about a year and a half to 2 years ago...at least I still have the box. It will be an interesting discussion.

You can pretty much return most items to Costco. My friend just returned a 1.5 year old router! Don't worry. It should go smoothly.

I went to Costco and engaged in a spirited discussion with the customer service desk. In the midst of this discussion they wanted to verify that the watch serial number matched the box and sales slip. I repaired the watch, verified the serial number as matching, and attempted to show them the problem. I did not restore the watch using backup and instead opted to install just the health monitor app. When it loaded it connected to the watch and warked fine with ecg. Did I mention the egg on my face? Samsung support level 2 lied when they said the watch was an international model.
The moral is, when troubleshooting, go back to ground zero and only involve the failing app. Apparently something that was present in my watch backup caused the health monitor to not recognize the watch. I tried at home with similar results and everything is working as designed. Lesson learned!

Pixel 3 XL and Samsung Galaxy Watch On Verizon Wireless

My quick question is : Has anyone found a work around to get the Pixel 3 XL to work with the Samsung Galaxy Watch?
The Verizon website allowed me to buy the watch and line share it with my Pixel 3. Their website says they are compatible. It quickly became apparent it wasn't going to be that simple.
Verizon's activation system won't even let you setup the line share because the "phone" isn't compatible. The in-store rep swapped my SIM into a Samsung phone to get past that part.
Then the watch simply won't activate the LTE. The bluetooth works perfect. But I'm paying $10 a month for LTE that isn't working. The CORE techs (after a while) said it's a known issue and they are expecting an update by the beginning of 2019.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy watch LTE activation.

I am hoping someone can answer something for me. I am getting the 46mm Galaxy watch with LTE from T-Mobile as soon as they are back in stock. Hopefully it will ship the 24th which is the earliest. Anyway, I have been doing a lot of research on the watch. Some things concern me and I can only work around one I get the watch.
But, the major concern is when I get the watch will it be already activated on LTE? I have read a lot of people talking about having to have a Samsung phone to do the activation. I talked to T-Mobile and they said it should be activated already if the Digits line is active. It is active on the other one we ordered that was in stock. I just don't know about mine yet until it ships.
So, does anyone have any experience with this watch on T-Mobile? I do not have a Samsung phone. I know all Bluetooth stuff will work. I just want to use it as a standalone device also.

You need a T-Mobile phone to get it up and running. My watch connected to my phone thru bluetooth and was working just fine, but I couldn't get the LTE to work until after I made the trip to an actual T-Mobile store. I have a Verizon phone. I couldn't get the LTE to work so I ended up using a T-mobile employee's phone to set it up. It needs to download something thru a T-Mobile line. But once you set it up you're good. Hope this helps.
Yeah I bought it straight from T-Mobile. And I have T-Mobile. I just have a Moto z2 force and I have heard you can't set the LTE up without a Samsung phone. You get kind of error like that it can't be setup on this device. T-Mobile assured me it will be working fully after they link the Digits line to it. Which is right before it ships.

Did you get your watch to activate on a T-mobile stand alone line? I have Sprint for my phone. I have a Samsung S2 watch on a stand alone line. I went in and bought a Galaxy Watch at a T-mobile store. We tried for 3 days and never got it to activate on my stand alone line, so I returned it. The guys in the store called all kinds of customer service numbers. They were finally told that Samsung wouldn't allow it to activate on a stand alone line. We all thought it was bs but no one could get it working. So does yours have its own line and number on T-mobile? Thanks.

I only have one line thru T-Mobile and it is the Galaxy watch. My actual phone is a Verizon phone. I had problems getting it to sync to my phone. I called Samsung and t-mobile, both didn't know what was what. I returned my watch and got a new one thinking it was defective. The new one did the same thing. So I went to the Samsung forums with my problem and someone suggested to take it to the store and use one of there phones. So I did.
It took a couple of tries. I used two different phones from the store before the employee just let me use his. I forget what kind of phone he had but that made all the difference. I suggest going into a t-mobile store and syncing your watch to the most current SAMSUNG device they have. What happens is they use the phone to transfer the file you need to your watch. Once you have it downloaded on your watch the LTE should be up and running. You won't need that phone ever again even after a factory reset. Your watch should have its own number and you can connect it to whatever carrier phone you have.
Let it be noted that I did this before any updates occurred. I would have hoped this issue would have been fixed by now. I hope this helps. I will say that T-Mobile was very kind, and when they could be, they were very helpful.

Weird sms problem

With my LTE version on T-Mobile everything works great except for one thing. When I'm connected via Bluetooth, and I step out of range of my phone the watch automatically switchesnto LTE just like it's supposed to, but as soon as it does I immediately get flooded with old SMS messages from the last couple of days that have already been received and read on my phone. It happens every time. The messages have already been read, but they show up on the watch like new every time it disconnect from Bluetooth. Has anyone else had this problem? Or have an idea of what to do about it? Thank you
I have the same problem and had the same problem on my gear s3. As far as I know there is no fix.
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
same for me, and it's rather disappointing. I contacted T-Mobile twice, and they conferenced Samsung in on the 2nd support call, and neither party (T-mobile or Samsung) have a fix for this, and it's a known issue.
hard to imagine this issue has been going on since the Galaxy Watch came out on T-Mobile in September 2018.
I bought my Galaxy Watch from a T-Mobile authorized dealer and I can still return albeit for a $25 restocking fee.
I'm close to having decided to return it, although I REALLY like the Galaxy Watch (I do not use a Samsung phone). although App support for the Galaxy Watch is really bad.

Sprint Galaxy Watch Active 2 LTE with none Samsung Phones

So,
I am gonna start by saying I have been on the phone with sprint 3 times the last couple days as well as 2 visits to a sprint store and one call with Samsung and have yet to get lte working on this watch. I Have an Lg v30 sprint model completely stock not rooted purchased through sprint a couple of years ago. I also bought the watch through sprint as well as the data plan a couple of days ago so it should have been a breezy setup. I set the watch up using bluetooth and the wear app as the instructions specified and everything worked perfectly up to setting up the mobile service for the watch. at which point the phone says "The Sprint Network isn't supported on your watch" and all I can do is skip it. Ive tried everything I could think of including trading the watch in for a new one and getting a new sim for my phone. If anyone has any thoughts on how to resolve this matter please feel free to share.
Edit:
well I finally found it thanks to u/ReconstructedTin on Reddit here . u/ReconstructedTin linked to a sprint support page describing how to connect the watch to there network I've followed the instructions on both my watch and my wife and both are working correctly.

Galaxy watch LTE not receiving texts on standalone

Not sure why but i cannot receive text messages on my watch when its in standalone mode (LTE) I can send them and make/receive calls but thats it. The watch has its own phone # but i use number share so it uses my cell phone #.
Same thing for me. I do get server originated text like t mobile customer service reviews but nothing from others phones. If I text my own number it works ironically. I have tried 2 different phones one note 9 and one Huawei both reset, reinstalled the app and reset the watch 5 times. Two new digits numbers and canceled the old ones. 4 hours with TMobile support another hour with Samsung and nothing. About to sell it. Used to work untill lat week. Did you resolve this issue?
A few things for anyone having this issue. I did have all settings correct and getting a replacment watch solved the issue but only while using the Remote Connection Toggle in the Wear app. My watch is LTE so this should be working without it toggled.(ie or with the phone completley off) Without it toggled if you text the actual digits number instead of my phones number it works all the time. I am awaiting a tier 2 tmobile Digits tech to resolve this issue. My previous watch wasn't even getting the texts while remotely connected but could do all other functions. I will update this thread after talking to them and then try my old watch to see if it was the watch, TMobile or both. Either way they gave me a free watch so I can't complain about their efforts to resolve this issue regardless of what was at fault.
Were you ever able to fix this? I'm having the same issue. I've sent my watch in to Samsung for repairs and it worked for a couple weeks and then stopped working again. I've been on the phone with T-mobile and they can't help me and multiple people have told me to get a new watch. I just got this watch in March, so it's still under warranty with Samsung, but I am debating on upgrading to the watch4 to try to fix it. I am so frustrated. The whole reason I got this watch in the first place was for the LTE functionality and to not be able to even use it feels like such a waste.
any one got it fixed? I have same issues with my Galaxy watch 4 Classic LTE. I get calls but not messages when entirely distanced the watch from phone
iv just made the same post, not 10mins ago
