Fire TV 1st gen factory reset through adb? (without settings)

Hi,
i've rooted my Fire TV 1st gen and disabled the stock launcher, then it updated itself to the newest unrootable firmware. Without root I can't reactivate / unfreeze the launcher, but I read somewhere that it will automatically be reactivated by a factory reset. The problem is that I can't access settings menu with the disabled launcher, so is there any way to perform a factory reset through adb? Thanks in advance for your help!

I didnĀ“t try this but for some Android devices and depending on the installed recovery this adb command may work:
Code:
adb shell recovery --wipe_data
how about the setting app?
hope it helps
I think I messed it up, it won't boot now so I'm returning it to amazon, but maybe someone else has the same problem...

Stuck at "welcome to prime" screen

I had jailbroken firestick.
I asked to install new version and did factory reset.
Now after I setup the firestick with my account, Im stuck at "welcome to prime" screen with only continue button active. When I press the button I return to same screen or some error page.
Cannot select any options using remote.
I did factory reset multiple times but I end up in the same place.
Prime video on mobile app can see the device and play the video directly but I can't get to Options.
Is there a way to install latest OS from a computer. I don't think I can use adb.
Thanks

What stick generation do you have, i.e. what is the name of the device? montoya, tank or mantis?
I have got firestick 1, good news is after using different account that is without prime subscription I was able to update the firestick and use it.
Thanks.

Netflix freeze (Jailbroken firestick)

Netflix on my jailbroken firestick freezes as soon as the login page loads up. I cleared the data & cache and reinstalled it but still the same problem.
I tried to download APK and install the previous version via Adblink but it was not really compatible with a firestick. I don't want to factory reset the firestick because it would un-jailbreak the firestick and I don't know how to jailbreak it since I bought it. Does anyone else having the same problem or know anyways to fix it? Thanks!

Its "Android" not "iOS", so we don't jailbreak here, all you have to do is go to Settings and then "My Fire TV" then go to "Developer Options" and enable "Unknown Sources", Enabling this option allows you to install any app.
But in your case you have a rooted stick, then you will have to update your system via TWRP.

Android TV won't load or reset

Hello,
I have a Philips 50PFL5766/F7. If I go into settings and select reset (there is no physical reset button on this unit), it doesn't actually reset the tv. Once it reboots, the personal Google account is still there. The TV doesn't boot into Android TV at all, only to an HDMI source. The TV attempts to process a Google update (989MB) on startup but it seems the file is too big or it's corrupted and fails to complete. I've tried deleting individual apps to make room to process the update but on reboot, they reappear. It's as though the OS and data are locked and read-only.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!
